Stopped by the drive through to get a quick snack and was pleasantly surprised since I haven't been to Zaxbys in 10+ years! They had way more on the menu than I expected (including sauces and flavors for their wings which is rare for a drive through spot). I tried the buffalo garlic and the hot honey mustard and both hit the spot. I ordered one tender of each flavor and a side of fried pickles and it was the perfect snack that left me wanting to try other flavors. The pickles were fried with a lot of batter (which is okay but I prefer a thinner coat), but they were good. The menu said they come with ranch, but I didn't get any in my bag. The only downfall was the wait - they ushered me ahead to wait in my food when (at the time), no one was behind me and the .e other cars appeared shortly after and they also had to pull forward. My wings were piping hot though so I know the wait was likely related to the freshness, so I'm okay with it! All in all, it was better than I thought it would be! I'd go back. read more

We Order online and picked via the drive thru. We can around lunch time , and although they didn't seem to be busy . The street that the restaurant sits on, the traffic was pretty crazy. Felt like it took forever waiting to turn into the parking of the restaurant because traffic was non stop. The transaction of picking up our order was nice , quick and smooth. No one was in the drive thru line but the parking lot was pretty full. I appreciate being able to pick up my orders and not have to request anything.. They had everything in the bag including plenty of different condiments. We ordered two of the 4 piece chicken fingers meals , one with fries, coleslaw and a frozen lemonade and the other with two sides of fries and a frozen strawberry lemonade. I'm more of a bone in my chicken kinda girl, so far me Nothing special stood out about the chicken strips , they seemed to be similar to chicken strips that other establishments serve. You have the option of getting them fried regular or sauced up with one of their many different sauces. We chose to be keep it simple since it was our first time visiting.. I really enjoyed the fries tho, it's something about crinkle fries that has a strong hold on me lol. These crinkle fries were larger in size then what I'm accustomed to and had a really nice soft texture and tasty seasoning on them, I kinda of wish I would have requested extra seasoning, which was an option on the online ordering. We weren't fans of the coleslaw at all, but we're also not really coleslaw eaters either, so it's really hard to give a valid opinion on what could have made it better. The frozen lemonades were my favorite, especially the strawberry one. It was a decent experience. We don't live close to any Zaxbys so it's not likely that we'd revisit often or any time soon, but if ever in an area where one is located, I'd definitely revisit. We wanted to get a quick bite before heading home, so we agreed to try Zaxbys for the first time. They serve chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, fried pickles, grilled cheese, and many more side items like fried cheese to choose from. We went ahead and got some tenders and fried cheese with fries and a fountain drink. The fountain drink station here is one of the drink stations that offers many drink choices such as sodas, lemonades, powerade, and many flavor syrups such as a lime coke. After receiving our cups, we quickly went to the soda station to fill up our drinks but were left with zero ice from the station. Our food came out and was bagged up for a to go order when we told them we would be dining in. When opening the containers, I initially wasn't impressed with the food quality and presentation. The chicken tenders were limp and were not freshly fried as well as the fries. The toast was soft and flimsy and didn't appear to be toasted at all but had the toast marks as if they reheated it. The zaxby sauce was okay but was very acidic to my stomach, and every time I ate it, I squealed. Overall, I wasn't very pleased with trying Zaxbys for the first time, and I don't think I will ever attend this location again from this experience. I really think they can improve this experience by one progressive cooking and not just mass cooking items to get people in and out. I honestly feel people prefer waiting longer for items they know that will taste good. The ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant was sub par and a lot of food debris was scattered throughout the floors and under the tables. Whenever we visit TX we go to this Zaxbys. Honestly it's just ok. It's not great but not terrible either. We got a variety of items and here's how they were: Chicken strips - These were seasoned well. But they weren't fresh and were a little dry. Fried pickles - These had a cornmeal batter and were REALLY greasy. Cheese Curds - They were hot, cheesy, and fresh. Asian Salad - this salad was very meh. Nothing tasted fresh. It's topped with a mushy coleslaw and the dressing is too sweet. It came with an egg roll that was mushy, soggy, and no good at all. Kids grilled cheese - My daughter liked it. It only came with a few fries. Some random things that I liked, The cashier was nice. She gave me a small drink instead of a kids sized with the kids meal. She also gave me an extra sauce. They are small things but they made the experience better. Also they have the Minute Maid Agua Fresca. It was the green one. I normally don't drink that kind of tbing due to the dyes in it. Love LOVE L O V E me some Zaxby's (they are hands down better than raising cane's, but I digress). Zaxby's aren't in San Antonio, so I had to stop while in the Dallas area for the day. Nothing particularly wrong with my experience. Food was what I remember and was served decently quickly. What bothered me about the place was the "messaging" and lack of adherence to their own rules. For example, the restaurant has a sign (grammatically incorrect, but I digress) requiring masks. However, while I was there, several patrons walked around freely without masks. I don't even think they had masks "on them". No one enforcing THE RULE. *sidebar* We won't get into how stupid our Gov. is for opening Texas 100% too soon, but the bottom line is businesses can still set their own guidelines and they should be followed, period. If you're going to have a sign like that, have the cajones to enforce it** Lastly, the gentleman who served me had possibly some of the worst customer service I've experienced. Not only was he wearing his mask below his nose (like a man wearing his underwear with his "peepee" sticking out), but he kept touching it, adjusting it, etc. He did ALL. THE. THINGS. they tell you NOT to do while wearing a mask. What made it worse, I watched him go back to the kitchen, take his hat on and off several times...while still hand fu%#ing his mask. My boyfriend went to this location to get a 20 piece BBQ wing. The wings hardly had any sauce on them and they were COLD. I called to speak to a "manager" in regards to this. Who identified him as "Jose". He suggested that I BRING THE WINGS BACK TO THEM so that they can add more sauce. First of all this is a serious health code violation! Once I complained about him suggesting that he then suggest I send someone back up there to get more sauce so I can put the sauce on the wings!!! What! When asked how am I going to be compensated for my time, gas and cold food he stated there was nothing else he could do. When I asked to speak to his manager he stated he was the store manager and the only person over him lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and he had no contact information for him. We came to this Zaxby's location a few months ago and it was the worse experience we have had at any location. We were given brunt fries, cold wings and attitude from the staff. Zaxby's is tasty. Very similar to Raising Cane's, yes, but better (imo). Their chicken tenders are always seasoned and perfectly crisped. I used the online system to pick up to save time. I waited for about 6 minutes after my scheduled pick up time. I saw that the drive up had maybe 11 cars waiting. I put on my mask and went inside. I sidled up to the online pick up counter and saw my order sitting on the back counter. They made me wait 11 minutes to be acknowledged and then my order had been finished for about 16 minutes. I went to my car and found that all my food was wet and soggy. I have COPD so I did not want to make the walk back into the restaurant to have my order fixed. I took my order home and placed it in the air fryer to dry it out. I usually give restaurants two chances to disappoint me and since I have never been at a Zaxbys before since I am new to this area. Asked to change them out and had to explain it to the girl working the counter probably a total of 5 or 6 times. There always seems to be a communication issue between what the customer asks for and what is given. Average experience! Zaxby's is one of my favorite chicken places, and I wish that there were more in the DFW so I didn't have to drive 30 minutes for it. The service, food, and experience were alright, I've been to this location before, 4 or 5 times before and this was not the best experience of them. Food: I had ordered the boneless wings and things, and reiterated it multiple times during my order, and asked for an extra Zaxby's Sauce. When the food came out it was a boneless wings meal, but not what I had ordered. After talking to the woman who took my order she took it to her boss, whom she tried to explain what the problem was, then the manager promptly said "I don't want to deal with This, just get him the food." At the end of the day I did get what I had ordered. The wings I got with the buffalo sauce (medium heat) but they did not taste very fresh, and were not very hot. The chicken was very fresh! I really appreciate that even though they got my order wrong, they gave me very fresh chicken. The fries were like the wings, not very fresh tasting, but overall the food was good! Service: I touched on the treatment a little already, the workers were not very attentive, and the manager was just trying to get me out of their hair. I had wished for at least an apology, or any kind of treatment like I was a person, not just a customer. Service specifically is the reason I am not giving this Zaxby's a 3 star review, but a 2. I could see the attitude of exhaustion within the workers, no passion or desire to work hard in any of them. I imagine that it's hard to get quality workers and pay them what they'd deserve to make, but I could say that the attitude could be adjusted and a little more personnel training applied. read more
