The staff is quite rude. I called earlier this week to place my 3rd order within 7 days. I asked that they get they get the order correct because it was wrong they day prior. They were quite nasty about it. One person started breathing hard and then passed the phone to someone else that sounded even more annoyed at my request. His tone was very short, so I decided I would not complete my order and would get my food from someplace else. I will never go to this establishment again. read more

We have been ordering from CGD for years and have never had a negative experience. When picking up , the food is always ready when they say it will be. When ordering for delivery, it arrives promptly every time. Their menu is extensive and you will not go wrong with anything you order. The salads are fresh and the grilled chicken is deliciously seasoned and juicy. Their chicken wings are small but delicious. I placed a phone order for pick up, got the 4 piece (breast, wing, leg and thigh) dinner w/ two sides. The young man who took my order spoke very fast, but was super friendly and informative. When I arrived to pick up my food, the lady at the counter was not friendly and I won't be surprised if some people are a bit frightened upon entering. Let's just say she isn't warm or welcoming. Anywho, after my first bite I was able to immediately tell that the chicken is made to order. The breast and wing were delicious, fresh, well seasoned, well cooked and moist, but the leg and thigh were lacking. They were bland and dry. The fries were superb and also made to order. They had crunchy exterior and a light, fluffy interior. Finding the right balance is tricky, but they found it. The coleslaw was subpar, it had too much mayo and was soggy, it had no crunch unfortunately. I have a thing for BANGING coleslaw and it has to be crunchy with the perfect amount of mayo, with a slight hint of sweet.. Finding good coleslaw is a struggle lol. Overall i'd probably just get the Breast and wing with fries next time. May also try their Gyros at some point. read more

This is the first local spot I have tried since moving to valley stream. It was a Saturday afternoon and I took a walk and ventured in. It's a small store front but they were churning food out! It was busy and lots of energy. The counter guys were super friendly and talked about the restaurant and it's food. I decided on a chicken gyro and fried chicken with rib combo. I ordered fries and a side of rice to round out the order. Food was prepared fresh and tasted it. Gyro meat was plentiful, moist and hot. Each bite was packed with flavor and the crunch of lettuce. You could taste the freshly cooked ribs and the fried chicken was a sleeper hit. This friend chicken had a great crunch but wasn't overly coated in batter. Fries and rice were on point. Price wise vs how I felt with my leftovers, this is an easy 5/5 stars. read more

Omg the food is amazing!!! The people are so nice when I placed my order over the phone and my brother Eddie picked it up he told me how nice it looks in there. We ordered some popcorn shrimp, gyros, chicken fingers, flounder, waffle fries, baklava and omg this cheesecake is heaven. Great little spot that I found in Valley Stream. I've already had their Gyro, Chicken Gyro (lol and yes its delicious), and their Chicken fingers and fries. Everything was great! I've been here at least 15 times and have never been disappointed. The place isn't too big, but they do have 2 tables and one long communal table so it's not too bad. Will definitely be back! I have been going to Chicken Gyro Delicious for over 15 years and the food and staff has always been so very nice. The food was consistently delicious. We moved out of Valley Stream 5 years ago and had recently been to Greece. Was so excited to get a gyro there but Chicken Gyro Delicious was much better! In Greece they put the French fries in the sandwich but I prefer the waffle fries at Chicken Gyro Delicious way more. I hesitate to give a five stars review because of the wait, but I'm not a patient person. They did, however tell me 10 minutes and it was ready in 25. 1.5 times longer than promised! That is how accountants think. However, my chicken wings and fries were so delicious! Very tasty and well done, as requested. The small fries were huge and done just right, so much that I barreled right through them. The price was right and with the steady stream of patrons, I was able to see why. I'm glad they are doing well in this transitional pandemic environment. While I was there it seemed like no one was staying to eat on the few seats available. The establishment isn't large and the ambiance consistent with a take out restaurant so they do not seem to encourage eat in anyway. But the food was go so I'll definitely be back! read more

My absolute favorite spot for authentic Greek gyros. The food is unbelievable and was a family favorite for most of my life living in New York. Their baklava is also my favorite. Service is very fast. The actual restaurant is small and good for ordering a quick lunch. Best to order to go during busy hours as it can get crowded. I'm not sure what happened but when your place is called Chicken Gyro Delicious, you should have decent gyros... and you used to. The little salad was palatable, but nothing special. The rice was salty and bitter. The pita had a charred taste and the meat were like strips of leather that had clearly little bit left on the griddle too long. Does this place have new owners? I'm still not a fan of the salty gyro (my opinion), and once or twice or more (opsy) I've had my order mixed up but mistakes are made by many business places. I've only ordered the Gyro Platter/Dinner with rice from here. It's a whopping $13! That's only acceptable in the City, not Long Island... It's a big styrofoam take-out box of food, but not $13 worth. Anyway, since there aren't many options in Valley Stream, I fork over the $13 once in a while. The rice is bland, but I kind of like it that way since there are salty feta cheese cubes in the salad and that helps balance the blandness of the rice. The lamb is dry and thin, but flavorful nonetheless. I like my lamb more on the moist side, but dry meat isn't the end of the world. It's plenty of food and I'm never able to finish the whole box in one sitting. read more
