The ambience is great , it's huge , they have really great painting everywhere and posters and decorations it's very cute . Upon entering the smell of chicken in this place is quite appetizing. It surely lures you into the place. We came here on a rainy Monday afternoon and decided to get the family combo: It includes a whole chicken, rice and beans for about $20. Then we ordered 2 sides, one salchipapas which is basically friend hot dogs and fries and sweet plantains. Here is the outcome: Pros: The prices are great! Chicken festival is out there charging way more and the chicken is very similar. The place is fairly big, parking is not really and issue and the food is average. Now the chicken, the outside was roasted to perfection and the inside was juicy, almost like it was boiled to get it juicy/watery. I asked them if they boil it prior and I was told no. Now I'm no chef but it's obvious the chicken is first boiled to cook it properly and make it juicy and tender. Then they must put it in the roasting machine at a very high temp to roast the skin. You're going to feel like the chicken is pink inside due to the boiling but it will fall of the bone. It's safe!! Also, this chicken is not as salty as other places for those watching their sodium intake. The next minor thing is the rice to beans ratio. I got a huge bowl of beans but the rice was too small for the beans. Both were actually pretty good. The plantains were delightful. Service: don't come here expecting to be catered too or getting too much attention. You place and order, you get your food and it's over. To be fair there was only one waitress and she was doing one million things. The take out orders here are insane! Overall, we would probably be coming back again but they should def look into these minor details. read more

MMM MMM MMMM! Man I love Pollos a la brasa, the food here is delicious. I've been ordering take out from here for years since it first opened and was named something else. My go to orders include the whole rotisserie chicken (pollo entero) with sides of fries and salad. They typically give you several little servings of the green sauce....aka their comeback sauce. I've yet to discover what it's called, but for me at least, I've come to enjoy the mystery. One of my best friends has catered from here many times for her birthday over the years and everyone at the party goes straight to the sauce before serving themselves chicken. So yeah, it's delicious, but be weary if you can't handle a little kick. Another plate I love from here is the Jalea, which is essentially a plate of fried fish and calamari served with fried yuca and purple onions. The onions are seasoned aland juicy, with a crunch that brings all the flavors together and makes the jalea quite refreshing. It's big enough to share with two other people as an appetizer. I live close by and usually order pick-up so I cannot comment on delivery time but the food here is delicious and affordable. read more

Yes Brasaaaaa! Says brasa II on yelp but the place is actually Brasa I... it seems like they just gave this place a face lift in here as I've been told that it used to be not so nice to dine in, more of a grab n go ordeal.. we didn't mind staying in here at all, it was quite nice actually.. ordered the rotisserie chicken (breasts) and they were delicious, perfectly juicy and tender, crushed those in a bout 10 seconds. Heaping side of yellow rice, typical staple dish but seasoned really well, also, gone in 10 seconds. We also inhaled Maduros and la papa a la huancaína. P a la H was delicious, these yellow potatoes are boiled and smothered in a yellow, creamy and spicy sauce they you want to dip everything on the table in and eat it... Place had delicious, authentic, Peruvian food. We were served super quick which is always a plus since we went there like animals that haven't eaten.. highly recommend to dine in or even take out! read more

I had the jalea on my first visit which was amazing, we'll seasoned and a large portion that was enough to be shared with a friend. Next visit I ordered the jalea again as a takeout and it was as good as the first time. On my third visit I ordered a whole chicken with yellow rice and red beans. It comes with a green sauce that is more white than green, a little spicy and delicious. Customer service is quickly attended to and friendly. My new fave place! read more

This is some good rotisserie chicken! It's a nice find in the area and a super quick stop. Arroz con pollo is great here.

Liked it better when it was Millenium Chicken, the service was never great but the food was as were the prices. Now they've raised their prices, refuse to serve tap water, and the food isn't as good as it used to be read more

First, the name above the door is Pollo a la Brasa, but on the menu it is Brasa I. But the address is correct. Gotten this out of the way, the food is very good. For $20 (including some money in the tip jar) you get a whole rotisserie chicken, red beans and rice (white or yellow) and some great dill, spicy ranch dressing. Plenty of food and very tasty. My wife and I could only finish half of what was packed. There are tables inside but most of the business looked like mostly take out. Recommended if you can ever find this review because of the different names. read more

ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE ATTITUDE!!! Every time I go here I'm reminded why I don't go. The service is horrible. It starts when you walk in. This place is set up as if takeout orders are to be placed when you come in. Why have the area open with a counter. So the cooks stand there and instead of directing people to the back to order, they ignore you until you address them. So I went to the back but of course no one will offer assistance unless you catch someone's attention. If they were busy I would understand, but when I've gone - it never is. Today, one of the ladies that takes your order was eating right by the cashier and ignored me while the older lady (that was doing nothing) continued to chat with the lady eating. Go to the back and eat or sit like the customers and eat. I wish this neighborhood had more options. I almost forgot to mention how expensive they are, not worth it!!!
