My review is a little late... we were heading to the park so wanted to grab a quick snack for the road. We ordered chicken wings and sweet potato fries. From what I remember the wings were good, just a little salty and the sweet potato fries were perfect. It wasn't packed so I was able to receive my order pretty quick. I had previously eaten at their location and had very good food there each time. The staff was friendly, food prepared quickly, and of high quality. I visited a few times and each time had the same great experience. Then, in April, 2021, I ordered food delivered from Greek Xpress. The food arrived quickly, but after opening the box and examining the food, I noticed that the meat consisted of dried and burnt pieces, unfit for a dog. Whoever prepared the order at the restaurant knew full well that the food was in this condition, yet they still thought it would be okay to send this to a customer. Think about that for a moment. I phoned the restaurant and told the person answering the phone about the dried and burnt food. They connected me to the owner of the restaurant, who apologized and offered my wife and I a complimentary meal. I accepted. He took my name and phone number and told me that I should give that information when I came in to the store. Fast forward to May, 2024. I decided to redeem the complimentary meal offer that the owner had offered. I visited the store and told the person behind the counter that I wanted to redeem the comp. He asked for my name and phone number. I gave that to him. He told me "I don't see any comp for a person with your phone number or name." I walked out, and later, called the owner, only to have him tell me that he no longer owned the place. He offered to call the current owner to make sure they would honor the comp he had offered me. No one called me. I will not patronize a restaurant that won't honor their own offer. This review is my opinion about this business and you might find that your experience differs from mine. With that said, I cannot recommend this business and highly recommend that shoppers go elsewhere. read more

It's so great to have Greek Express being such an amazing local business still serving it up during tough times [Corona virus pandemic 3.21.20]. Tonight after a 5mile walk, I decided to place a convenient GrubHub pickup order of their always delicious Gyro Platter that came with Chicken Lemon soup, Lemon Potatoes and Pita w/tzatziki. Ordering from the Yelp-GrubHub link was quick and easy. The toughest part was the wait for the fabulous flavors to excite the tastebuds. ;) Although I would have to say 20mins to go pick it up wasn't bad at all. For years my coworkers and I have been ordering from Greek Xpress online and it's always been good. What I appreciate the most is I'll get a Gyro Sandwich and they don't like drown the sandwich in tzatziki - I know that's a huge turn off for some people. The people are nice, pretty sure most of them are Greek. They have a huge menu between sandwiches and souvlaki, plus their Baklava, chefs kiss it's really good. I went inside for the first time ever (meanwhile I'm like a 5 year customer) and the shop is nice, not too small, very modern nice seating. My wife and I ordered from here a few years back, and weren't very happy. I honestly have never reviewed a place on yelp before but I felt compelled this time. We ordered a "platter" that literally came with one pita cut into quarters. I then prior to delivery called up for a gyro, and they said they don't do that, which is pretty much a Greek staple. To cap it off, we paid with our card, so we expected an option to rip on the card, the receipt had no such option, which made us feel like the guilty party. The only saving grace, is that their food doesn't taste bad. But man, there is so much more potential in my opinion. First time ordering from GX, threw Uber eats. The food came hot and fresh. I had a Gyro made with beef & lamb tomato and onions. I also ordered the same but in the platter form. The platter came in a box, with a large portion of meat and two sides. I choose the lemon potatoes and Greek salad. The only thing is that they forgot my Tytziki sauce, which is a pivotal part of the meal. The salad came with all the fixings. I favor Greek Express a lot so I was happy to find a branch of this place close to the beach on our way home. The place is clean and spacious. They offer pick up, so we grabbed the menu, headed to our car, and placed order over the phone. I got the greek salad with grilled chicken lunch special and a ginger ale. The food for four people was to be picked up in 15 mins. The food, as always, is fresh! The grilled chicken is juicy and tender. Their feta cheese (I believe they make their own) is not too salty, which we appreciate. It was a struggle to finish the whole thing because of its abundance. It takes a lot to get me to write a 5 star review after just one visit, but I was pleasantly surprised by Greek Xpress. I hope this quality of food remains consistent when I go again! I was super hungry after a cycling class, and I was craving some Greek. I decided to change it up and rather than go to my old standby (Greek Town in RVC) I made the drive to E. Rock instead. Parking available on the street, and since Main Street is off the beaten path, it wasn't too hard to get a spot in the evening. I ordered a chicken souvlaki sandwich, with tzatziki on the side. I ordered it to go, and had to wait a little while for it to be ready, which was fine since I wasn't in any big rush. The cashier/counter person apologized for the wait, which was appreciated. The sandwich was really yummy. Chicken was cooked well, good amount of tomato, could have used some more onions (but I just like onions, so that was just me), and the tzatziki was super yummy. It has more of a thick consistency, so I had to use a fork to scoop it out and slather it all over my pita, lol! Absolutely will order from here again. Still shocked at their pricing. Gyro platters at lunch time were over $20 EACH. Plus tax. However the food was good. My local Greek restaurant (and I believe most) have a lunch gyro meal for around $13 which is why I'm confused at their price point of over $20 for a lunch meal. Spent over $140 and they had the nerve to charge me a couple of dollars for tzatziki sauce, no drinks as a lot of other places do for lunch. They recently raised there prices, however their menus reflect the lower prices which is a big mistake. Lots of Greek restaurants near by I will be going to instead next time. read more

I honestly have an addiction to this little restaurant! I order at least once a week, sometimes twice and it never lets me down. After a year of eating through the menu my favorites are the Santorini salad, the chicken souvlaki sandwich, zucchini fritters and chicken fingers. Yes, that's right - chicken fingers.
