SKIP!! I ordered 6 Jumbo Tenders with a bunch of sauces of off Uber Eats. The tenders had a nice texture but a disappointing taste. While they looked seasoned, they were pretty bland. For the sauces I tried the BBQ, Carolina Gold, Ranch, Scorpion Butter, Alabama White BBQ, and Blue Cheese. My favorite was the Alabama White BBQ. It's a unique sauce to offer so you should try it out. I kept dripping my tenders in it and the Carolina Gold. The others I just threw out. Overall, it's not worth the price and Raising Cane's is unfortunately better. read more

Omg. The best 'fast food' chicken spot I've ever experienced in the US (Royal Castle in Trinidad is forever #1). This chicken was sensational! Juicy all the way through. Real chicken. Well seasoned! The Medusa is a Fearsome Beast, but I Conquered Her After a sunny day of sightseeing at the Air Force museum and the Dayton Art Institute, I felt a hunger set upon me. It was the kind that dims your senses and spirits and leaves you with a slight headache. I knew there was only one way to save me, I had to face down with the Medusa. They say hunger is the best sauce, but I would eat this sandwich after a full day of Thanksgiving. Chef said he gave it some heft because I had ordered just the sandwich, and he wasn't joking. I opened the bulging box to find a most monstrous meal. The tender, juicy, and crispy chicken dwarfed the buns, which were enveloped in a layered sea of soft, cheesy cavatappi noodles, delicious collard greens, and red pickled onions. The crispy breading had a wonderful and lingering aftertaste. I have battled the Medusa in the past, and will admit that in the past I have not been strong enough to defeat this majestic mountain of maleficence, but today I found the courage. This is hands down the best chicken joint in town. The tenders are phenomenal and heat up well in a toaster oven the next day. The waffle fries are amazing, think chic-fil-A fries meets Arby's curly fries but better. The show stopper for me are the collard greens. Beautiful chiffonade, tender yet still has a little crunch, a hint of spice and vinegar, not salty, and no bacon (don't need bacon to mask the lovely flavor), topped with pickled onions. The owner (and all other staff) are SOOOOOO kind and helpful, always has a huge smile and you can tell that they genuinely care and appreciate the community supporting this small family owned business. The first time I went I didn't realize it was a ghost kitchen. We got there at 6:40 (online ordering ends at 6:45) but the owner, still allowed me to place an order. Finally got to try this gem and man I have to say, some of the most enjoyable food I've had in awhile. Tried the chicken parmesan sandwich, fried okra, tots and while I'm not a truffle lover I was told by the truffle lover that the truffle Mac was awesome.... which seems about right since the regular Mac was very fine. Went here while traveling for work. Walked up expecting to order and had no clue where to go. Was greeted with a "what's up noobs?" Clearly, we had no idea how to order. Owner told us how to put our order in online. Unsure of whether or not it was open I was greeted by the owner who rolled down the window with a big smile and greeting of "what's up noob?" Mine included corn bread, tots, Cajun tots, macaroni and cheese, Medusa's soul, and the Tuesday special of buy 6 tenders get 6 half off. With a slightly blasphemous departure of "you're going to get baptized the right way" I made way back to my hotel room. This man is indeed a gift from heaven with his cornbread being kissed by angels, soft and spongy with a slightly sweet taste. The tenders were juicy with a punch of flavor with very bite and the mac had a delectable smoky flavor to it. And Medusa's soul food sandwich? Reached deep inside my husband and whispered sweet nothings to his soul. Would I eat here again? Absolutely. Would I say these tenders put Chick-fil-A to shame? Without a doubt. We ordered for the first time tonight from Chicken Head's, and unfortunately, we won't be ordering again from them. Ordered the Sloppy Toppings Loaded Fries, the Family Meal (wings and fries), and a kid's meal (tenders and fries). We also ordered a side order of fried okra, but they were apparently out of it, so we had to substitute fried green tomatoes. We ordered three drinks, but only received two; the packaging (which looks a little too much like an IV bag for our taste) leaked over the rest of the order. The Tiger Head Tea (an Arnold Palmer) was perfume-y and weird. We didn't get the fries with the family meal. The bone-in wings were not fully cooked, and the seasoning was insufficient. My loaded fries were okay, but I would recommend leaving the lettuce off entirely; hot lettuce is gross. The tenders on my fries were tasty, but really, really salty. And because your fries are underneath what is, essentially, a salad, they're soggy. Yuck. When my husband called to see what could be done about the missing food, the only option offered was to "come in" and let them try to correct it. Two things: it was a delivery order, and how about a good ol' fashioned refund, Chief? Hilarious restaurant name, just wish they offered better food and service. read more
