I ordered a 50 piece Hot wing. I live over an hour away. Once I got home I realized my ordered was wrong. I called and a young man told me since I lived so far away just to call and they will make it right for me. The lady up front not only gave me a hard time, but put me on hold, "so she thought". The food is fantastic. 5 stars! The service and ambiance is less desirable. I got the lemon pepper wings. And I don't know if I got the wrong order. But they told me it'd be hot. And it was an amazing hot wing with loads of flavor. They were out of Fries. So I ended up getting onion rings and coleslaw. The Onion Rings are definitely worth a purchase. The coleslaw was a regular creamy coleslaw, which is nice to take off the heat. The managers special comes with a drink, fries, little dinner roll and ranch. Note. There are No diet drinks here. People raved about dessert. But I didn't get one. The bad. It took 30 mins for a lunch special. Order ahead. The place isn't very nice. So don't go looking to sit down at a table. They switched cashier in the middle of my transaction, which may have caused a hiccup in the ordering. But I ended up with 2 sides for the price of one. Chicken King has the best gd chicken wings in the entire state. There's no dining room, because they don't have time for that nonsense. Go in, put in your order, and sit there awkwardly scrolling through Instagram until they call your name. Try to get home before you start eating, but I'm willing to bet once the wing smell pervades your Kia you're going to pull over, eat one flat and say "this is the best gd chicken in the state" and then eat the entire box in a parking lot like a divorced dad. read more

If you've ever had any meal from here then you know why they are the King. Be forewarned you MUST call in your order at least 20 minutes before you get there, or you'll be waiting. That could be a bad thing except, EVERY order is cooked after you place it. Therefore if you show up at that magical time between when you place the order and it hits the window you've struck gold. Don't have much money? No problem you can get the poor man's special for 5.75 everyday, anytime 6 wings, fries, ranch, roll and drink. Or maybe a M-F lunch special for 6.75 and you'll get 3 more wings for your buck. Swimming in just enough sauce, so there is no need for ketchup on the fries. They are on a funky corner with limited parking so one must be careful not to whip in because there may be someone whipping out with a hot fresh lemon pepper wing in one hand and the steering wheel in the other. Wonderful! I am passing through and asked where to get good wings and I was directed to Chicken King. It's small, but it has everything you want in a southern place to eat. I was a little hesitant being the minority in the area, but the staff was super helpful and the food was really good. I got the hot and honey mustard. Word is they are known or their lemon pepper and honey mustard, but both of my choices were awesome! All of their menu looks good. Next time i'm trying the catfish. Enjoy! read more

I was pretty upset when I saw the price of feeding my family at Chicken King. We ordered a 15-piece shrimp dinner, fried okra, and a 6-piece chicken strip meal and it came out to just under $40. Ridiculous. The chicken was worse than Slim Chickens and the shrimp was mediocre at best. Instead of eating here, go to Red Lobster and order whatever you want. Or save some money and go to Slim Chickens and enjoy better food. Will not return. read more

I have made many trips to North Little Rock over the years. Every time I visit there on Business I have to order from the Chicken King, Lunch, Dinner or both. I make sure I go the day I arrive and the day before I leave. I even told them if I they could send it to my home I would order from them. The location might be a bit intimidating but the food is good. Call ahead if you can it's all take out. In the time I have been there they were closed once for a while. I'm not sure if it was reopened by the same young people or not but it is as good a before. They cook the best wings I have ever had from a wing joint. I had the pork chop sandwich which was great the first time. The second a little over cooked. I wish they would send me their cooking technique so I can do the same at home since I through making trips there. read more

My 1st time going was New Years Eve on my bday and phone ordered a 30 pc wing. Got the wings home and before I could fix my plate my daughter screams and comes in the kitchen showing me a 4 inch long strand of hair looking like weave. Now mind you that every cashier that I noticed at the front had weave in their head with no hair nets on. I couldn't see the cooks or just didn 't pay attention. Now when my wife called the Manager on the phone to complain , his 1st question to her was did she have weave in her head, WOW. And she explained to him that she didn 't and he asked if my daughter that noticed the hair in her wings had weave; and she still answered those uncalled for and ridiculous questions; which was NO she doesn't have weave. He never said he would reimburse our money, because I surely don't want ANYMORE HAIRY WINGS!!! They have POOR customer service concerning management. And customers shouldn't be asked disrespectful and rude questions just to clear Chicken Kings wrongdoings in preparing their food and not requiring their employees to wear hairnets.
