A top notch food truck serving the North Shore. This place has excellent chicken tenders and you typically get them in two minutes. The small box has ten and the large 15 -- which is Chicken Overload. I usually go to the Burlington and Bedford sites. The tenders are large, meaty, fresh-tasting, well-cooked, and very crunchy on the outside. There's rarely any gristle. It would be insulting to compare them to mediocre Tyson nuggets. They have a large variety of dipping sauces to go with the nuggets. The Chipotle Mayo is fantastic -- one of the best sauces I've ever had, very spicy with good mayo. The Gold sauce is excellent too, a mixture of BBQ sauce and a lighter sauce. Rich and very flavorful. The BBQ sauce is pretty good, typical of good ketchup-based sauces. The Honey Mustard is a little weaker, too loose and liquid-y for me. Sometimes I get the Fries also. They're good, thin, and crunchy and are very well-spiced. I've also tried their mozzarella sticks, which are solid, but not exciting. They also have a number of chicken subs and salads, which look good, but I like the tenders too much to try any of them. I recognize a number of the people who staff the trucks (there are two) and they're very friendly and remember you if you're a regular. read more

I love chicken on the road. It is hugely popular at MIT Lincoln Lab and the surrounding offices in Lexington. It stops near Hartwell Ave/Wood Ave for lunch on Wednesdays, and a ton of people go. Try to avoid going exactly at noon. Food here is very simple. Get the chicken bites, either 10 pieces ($8.25) or 15 pieces ($11.25). 10 pieces come with 1 sauce and 15 pieces come with 2 sauces. Omg. These chicken bites are like.. breaded pieces of angel chicken. So delicious - crunchy on the outside with their thinly breaded chicken, and juicy chunks of chicken on the inside. The breading does a expert job of containing the heat within the chicken too - I was standing out in the cold (20 degrees F) for about 5 minutes with my chicken, and it was still toasty warm by the time I dug in. Also, get their GOLD sauce - a mixture of BBQ and buffalo, plus something else (secret I bet) that I can't place my tongue too. It has a lovely kick to it! read more

This food truck comes to my office park every Friday. Me and my manager get it every Friday and it is always consistent and delicious. The bbq sauce they use is awesome as well. You can also ask for two sauces. Fries are good too. Chicken isn't greasy either! It has a good breading to it and not over or under seasoned. read more

NOTE: The truck is here on Wednesday ONLY. That said.. this truck is a godsend for the area. Sure, if you are ambitious you could drive into Bedford or Lex center for lunch, but its a hassle. When you need a quick bite, and don't want to drive - you have almost zero options for food. Enter the "chicken truck" - serving fried chunks of chicken breasts in all kinds of formats - subs, salads, wraps, nuggets.. along with fries and various other sides. The subs are big, delicious, and filling. If you haven't eaten in a week, you could 'Monster size' the sandwich. The folks on the truck are always friendly, and the food is always fast. Prices are great - $7 will leave you on the edge of a glorious food coma all day. They have some wild specials - like the bbq chix sub covered in mac and cheese.. for instance. The (cold) chipotle chicken salad (wrap) is really nice - its actually breaded chix turned into chicken salad - oh my. I could write much more - but I'll wrap this up - the Chicken Truck needs to be experienced. Why did the chicken cross the road? It's on the road, and I ate it! My company sponsored a free lunch with these guys, and I thought it was going to be mediocre food truck food. I was definitely proven wrong. I got the "famous chicken bites" because it's famous, duh, with the signature gold sauce. The chicken was to die for. Really think they should rename this the Cluck Truck. I was visiting Hanscom this week and we were discussing lunch. I was told it was chicken truck day so nothing else would really be considered. Also that we had to get there before noon or the line would be crazy. OK I guess - I don't usually get that excited about chicken. Pulled up and there wasn't much of a line. I ordered some massive sandwich with an entire meal on it with "gold" sauce, not really knowing what to expect. When I unwrapped my sandwich, wow! It weighed over a pound and was crammed with chicken, fries, sauce. I'll probably lose some cool points for this, but I had to use a knife and fork if I had any hope of eating this sandwich rather than wearing it. The chicken was chicken - it was good, but not my favorite meat. I'm a fan because of the sauce, bread, and addition of fries to the sandwich. It all just works. Chicken truck is THE BEST! Please don't ever leave your Wednesday Lexington location, you make hump day just a little better. The regular sandwiches are huge, packed with chicken bites and a good value at $6.75 each. I usually eat about half and save the other half for an afternoon food coma. There are also large options - I haven't seen one of the monster sandwiches in person, but one of these I'll take one for the team and report back! When the Chicken on the Road trucks comes near my office on Fridays, it's the best part of the week! They have a very limited menu, but that's a good thing. You only really need to order one item: the chicken bites. Their chicken bites are addictive! Perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, tasty, and they come with your choice of dipping sauces (pick their signature Gold sauce for a mildly tangy and spicy kick). You can't go wrong with this food truck! I've never seen this Billerica based food truck in Boston but I did when I was in Topsfield. They basically sell the same fried chicken as Augusta's Market in Billerica. The chicken is crisp and juicy and they have a great variety of sandwiches and sauces they make it with. This was my first time eating from this food truck and I ordered the 10-piece chicken bites. Quantity was more than I wanted but that was the smallest size of bites available. I should have read the reviews before I ordered and asked for the Gold sauce. I got the honey mustard and it was on the bland side. The chicken bites were tasty and moist on the inside while crispy on the outside. There isn't much flavor in the batter so the sauces are key. It would have been nice to be able to try two different sauces in much smaller containers. I would go back to try a different item or a different sauce. read more

I've driven past their truck at the Blanchard St Burlington location many times as I work around the corner. Finally I decided to give them a try after recommendations from coworkers who frequent the spot on a regular basis. I ordered the 10 piece nuggets ($6.50 plus tax) with honey mustard sauce. There was no one else there so the order came right out. 5+ for speedy service! Helps when it's July 3rd and not many people are working. My initial thought as I walked back to my car (yes I drove here. I probably could have walked but it's mad hot and humid out there today.), was that the box had some heft to it. I was tempted to take a peek but decided to wait until I was back in the office. Grabbed a seltzer from the fridge, some napkins and headed to my desk. I felt bad for my coworkers as the smell was intoxicating and I was not in the mood for sharing. Popped open the box to reveal 10 gloriously coated white meat chicken pieces, surrounding a plentiful amount of honey mustard dipping sauce. I got straight to it and took my first bite, without sauce, and images of my childhood came flooding into my memory. There I was sitting at my grandmother's table eating her chicken cutlets. A light crispy coating with just the right amount of spices covered the moist white meat deliciosuness inside. God damn these are good! While writing this review I see that I have 5 pieces left (4 pieces now). The hard part is deciding whether to eat them now, save them for an afternoon snack, or take them home to share with the wife and kids. The nuggets are absolutely delicious. The fries are equally as fantastic. Having said that, I wish they offered less food. Four nuggets are plenty given that they use white meat chicken. A few less fries would be good too. If the Cheesecake Factory can start offering less food, so can the Cluck Truck. read more

Just had it for lunch today. The girl who took my order was rude! I ordered a salad with chicken. She gave me an order of chicken bites only. So i asked to switch, she looked grumpy and then rolled her eyes at someone inside the truck. I can sorta understand if its super busy but there was no other customer there besides me. Had the chipotle chicken salad wrap - while it was quite large and loaded with chicken, there was little to no chipotle flavor. Others with me had the BBQ chicken sub, and said the sauce was a bit generic. A good value, but they need to make sure they use enough of (and better quality) sauces, perhaps giving the customer a 'make it spicy' option. read more
