This is my first time and it is delicious!! I will definitely be back. The chicken salad tastes homemade and the broccoli salad too! The price is great, For only $10 a FULL sandwich, broccoli salad a pickle and a sugar cookie!!

How in the world - especially as a chicken salad lover and purveyor of really good, quality, rich-with-flavor chicken salad - had I never before heard of the Chicken Salad Chick chain?!!! And, to boot, I've been visiting Blacksburg / Christiansburg for the last 4 years! So howwwwwwwww I ask - did I not know?! It was casually, off-the-cuff mentioned to me and I was floored. You mean a whole restaurant chain (with what looks like from their website a gazillion locations) devoted to basically just chicken salad?! I mean, we just had to go and try it. Great location in Christiansburg right on Market Street in The Marketplace Shopping Center. Loads of lot parking - no worries there. Party of 2, we went on a Tuesday for a late lunch. The place was crowded but no line. Order at the counter and they bring your order out to your table when it's ready. Drink station is self serve. Lots to acclimate yourself to on the menu especially for the uninitiated (us) so we asked a lot of questions lol and our server was patient and sweet and didn't mind answering. We each ordered a Chicken Salad sandwich - one of us ordered the Chick Melt Sandwich (served on a toasted croissant! fancy fancy!) and the other a Chicken Salad BLT. We ordered it with a side (one ordered side of chips, the other mac & cheese). The meal came with a pickle spear and a mini Cheryl's (butter cream frosted) cookie (nice touch and just the perfect palette cleanser to finish off the meal - if you've never had a Cheryl's cookie, it is HEAVEN - soft, buttery cookie with a creamy frosting to die for). The sandwiches were good as far as the star-of-the-show (chicken salad) goes. You do have to LOVE chicken salad mind you to love this place - I know that sounds sort of like a DUH statement but truly, chicken salad menu items are pretty much all that's offered here and they don't deviate far off that at all. Just sayin'. On a scale of 1 to 10 for chicken salad taste and quality, I would give this place a 7. Better than average-joe but not the most ahhhhhmazing c-salad I've ever had (still iso a 10 but there is one that comes darn close to perfect imo - Island Smoothie's chix salad in the OBX...but that's for another day and another review when I get around to it). I'm here to tell you - the perrrrrfect chicken salad is truly a rare find! I did like this place. Cool concept, decent food in a charming, neat and clean and comfortable setting. Prices weren't break the bank and the value for the price was not bad. I think everyone in Christiansburg except me seems to know about this place so obviously I'm late to the party (once again!). For those of you like me who didn't know this place existed AND is a fan of chicken salad, do head on over and check it out. I would recommend.

We have been intrigued by Chicken Salad Chick for a few weeks now and finally stopped by today. When you walk in you are hit by a wave of southern decor. Complete with table cloths and flowers everywhere, the decor is slightly overwhelming, but it's a chain and this is their branding...and at the end of the day it is memorable and you know it's authentic!! They have a grab and go section as well as a made to order menu. Their menu has a couple different options but we opted for the meal. It came with (1) a scoop of chicken salad/pimento cheese or a sandwich, (2) a side, bag of chips, or another scoop of chicken salad/pimento cheese. We wanted to do a sampling so got 2 scoops of chicken salad and then added a third scoop making it a "trio" for an extra $2. Three scoops for around 11$ is pretty reasonable! The scoops were the pimento cheese, cranberry Kelli, and Dixie chick, plus a grab and go of the Buffalo Barclay. I would 10/10 recommend all the chicken salads, but will probably skip the pimento cheese next time! We're already talking about what flavors we want to the next!

First time stopping here, Loved it! Looking for something different? This was a fun, fresh change from burgers and tacos.

Chicken Salad Chick is one of my favorite places to stop at in Virginia regardless of which location. The vibe and the service was very good. The quality of the food was superb as usual. Everything for sure felt fresh. Only thing is, it is pretty expensive for what you get. I spent 30 dollars on this and was still pretty hungry after. We also got no drinks. The Olivia's old South chicken salad is the best ever. It tastes just like the old Chick Fil A chicken salad for anyone that remembers that. The Mac and cheese is extremely mid. Nothing special about it at all. The broccoli salad was pretty good though. I wish there was a little bit more of whatever sauce that is but otherwise, great flavor and a good compliment as well. The crossing melt itself, was a wierd combination. I felt like it altered the flavor of my favorite and go to chicken salad. Not saying it was bad though, just not my favorite. I personally would stick to getting the prepaid tubs of chicken salad to get the best bang for your buck. The cookie that it came with was meh at best. Good sweetness but more of just a filler on the plate to be homestead. If you are anywheres near a Chicken Salad Chick and wouldn't mind spending a little extra dollars, I'd stop in. Make sure to get Olivia's Old South!!

    Grape salad and broccoli side

Food was so good. Really good price for the tray. I really liked the grape salad and broccoli sides i got. I got the bacon ranch chicken salad(forgot the name) and it tasted really good. Service was great as it was my first time here. They helped us with the menu and recommended options. They also give a cookie for the platter and I loved it. Super buttery and good. Also loved their strawberry lemonade.

Delicious varieties of chicken salad with sides. The location I ate at is out of business but if they use the same recipes it will be good.

I normally don't write long reviews, but my recent experiences at Burger King have pushed me to…read morelevels of disappointment so deep and so existential that I feel morally obligated to warn others. My hope is that maybe, just maybe, someone reading this will choose a different path--perhaps a path that involves edible food, coherent service, or at the very least a dining experience that doesn't feel like wandering through the ruins of a once-great civilization now ruled by chaos, apathy, and lukewarm fryer oil. Let me begin by saying that I used to like Burger King. There was a time--long forgotten now--when the Whopper actually tasted like something made by a human being with a functioning sense of taste. A time when the fries were crisp, the drinks had carbonation, and the overall experience didn't make me question the trajectory of my life. But those days have evaporated like the steam that escapes from a stale, microwaved bun, leaving behind the tragic modern reality of Burger King: a place where hope goes to die. Walking into a Burger King today feels like walking into the aftermath of a fast-food apocalypse. The lighting is always just a little too dim, the floors harbor a mysterious stickiness that defies all known chemistry, and the tables have that faint greasy sheen that whispers, "No one cleaned me. Not today. Not ever." At this point, I half-expect a tumbleweed made of discarded lettuce shreds and napkins to roll across the dining room. Then there's the service. I can't say it's rude, because "rude" implies some level of energy--an intentional hostility. But the vibe at Burger King is more like a collective existential shrug. Everyone behind the counter looks like they've just been told their shift has been extended indefinitely, and the only way out is through a labyrinthine stack of drive-thru orders they clearly don't want to make. I have genuinely waited longer for a single Whopper than I have for certain medical test results. And when the food finally emerges from the kitchen--if "emerges" is even the right word, since it usually feels more like it has been reluctantly surrendered--it never looks like the menu photos. To be clear, I don't expect fast-food items to be works of art, but Burger King seems intent on seeing how far they can push the boundaries of disorder before the food becomes unrecognizable. Every sandwich looks like it lost a bar fight. The lettuce hangs out like a sad green flag of surrender. The tomatoes are thin slices of watery despair. The bun is always smushed into a geometry that exists in no branch of mathematics. Temperature is another ongoing crisis. I don't know how Burger King manages to serve fries that are simultaneously cold and stale, as if they were fried last week and stored at the exact wrong temperature for days on end. The burgers come out lukewarm at best, with cheese that's half-melted--not in the satisfying way, but in the "this burger sat under a heat lamp just long enough to give up on life" way. And the drinks? Flat. Always flat. I have had more carbonation in bottled water. The chicken nuggets deserve their own paragraph because whatever those are, they do not resemble chicken in taste, texture, or emotional impact. Eating them is like biting into a breaded question mark. They taste like the memory of chicken, filtered through several layers of disappointment. The drive-thru is, if possible, even worse than dining in. The speaker crackles with a static that makes communication feel like trying to contact astronauts on a dying spaceship. Half the time, the order is wrong. The other half, the order is missing items altogether. I have driven away with bags containing nothing but fries, despite ordering an entire meal. I have received someone else's meal more times than I can count. I once ordered a burger with no pickles and got a bun full of only pickles. A Pickle King, if you will. Truly majestic. And let's talk about price. Burger King somehow charges gourmet-restaurant rates for food that looks like it's been assembled by gravity and despair alone. You'd think at these prices that the ingredients would at least be fresh, or the portion sizes reasonable, but no. You're essentially paying for the privilege of being disappointed. Even the app and rewards program feel like they were designed by someone who fundamentally misunderstands what "reward" means. The deals are convoluted, the interface crashes, and the mobile ordering process is so unreliable that using it feels like playing a high-stakes gambling game where the prize is cold fries and a forgotten drink. Every visit ends with the same ritual: I get home, open the bag, stare silently at the contents, and feel a wave of regret wash over me.

As many have stopped consuming fast food anyways, I do not reccomend Burger King on any occasion…read more Even if you decide to order here for a nostalgic effect or strong craving, you will be disappointed. Inaccurate orders, cold burgers, and twice fried French fries. The sprite was only good thing.

I'll start by saying it was graduation weekend, it was busy, and they were short staffed. I'm not…read moresure if you could book a reservation in advance or not but it was around a 1 hr wait. When we finally got seated the bartender was also the waiter which slowed things down. Super confused why they weren't more prepared with staff when they knew it would be a very busy weekend, but ish happens. The food took about 45 mins to come out. The food did not come out all together. So everyone ate at different times. Furthermore, the cold was lukewarm when it came out. Only 3 people out of a party of 8 received hot food. The food: The portions were big, but the food was not great. It might be better or different on a weekend or week day when something major isn't happening. Waffles 2/5 Chicken biscuit 3/5

My wife, son, and I stopped by the Hatch in mid-January for a late Sunday lunch. It was OK to good…read more- but not fantastic. On the plus side, parking is free and convenient (near the movie theater away from downtown Blacksburg) and service was friendly. Although the interior has a casual vibe, the prices seemed high for the quality of food. The dishes yielded mixed reviews. For example, my son loved the mac-n-cheese but did not particularly enjoy his Ribbe sandwich (which was a tough pork chop). The fried chicken and sides (collared greens) were both delicious, but our appetizer dish of hush puppies was strange. It consisted of large fried cornmeal balls that were difficult to break (but the honey butter was nice). The Cobb salad was OK. I'm not sure if we will return to the Hatch again - but if we do, I will definitely order the fried chicken and sides.
