If you want comfort food that isn't heavy this is it. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Melt and did Lauryn's Lemon Basil scoop. The basil is absolutely wonderful and keeps it from feeling too heavy. I got the Fancy Nancy Scoop too this one won't be for everyone with its texture and taste. Personally I am a huge fan of sweet and savory, the apple chunks are to die for. The Mac was creamy and when delivered was still hot! They were even kind enough to give me a cute mini buttercream frosted cookie. We both had the basic chicken salad croissant sandwich. Very easy process. We ordered at the counter and received our food after a short wait. Our sandwiches were pretty good and a decent size. My son and I went to a preview: staff training event. A lovely gentleman greeted us and provided directions. The food was free but they were accepting donations for childhood cancers and people had contributed by at registers. The place was pretty busy, and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices. My son ordered a BBQ chicken BLT sandwich with double fruit (the Trio). I ordered the cranberry and almond chicken salad BLT trio. The bacon was extremely crispy, which didn't lend to the flavor, but the chicken salads were tasty--not overly dressed with mayonnaise so that you could taste each ingredient. I was so full I hadn't tasted my soup yet, but it looked thick and hearty, and I love potato soup. I'd return. The service here was absolutely incredible!!! I wish I got her name. I'm a sucker for a drive thru and I'm always looking for healthier alternatives. I did get a little lost on the ordering process giving it was my first time. And she helped me in such a fast way, and recommended me a scoop of the bacon cheddar (which by the way is incredibly delicious) and the food here is AMAZING!! And she made sure to help me and also make sure the car behind me wasn't waiting, so all was done in a timely manor. I absolutely love Chicken Salad chick in Wilmington but I was not impressed with this location at all. I did an online order which was a very easy system. I was very impressed to see a drive thru, too! However, when I went to get my order they told me that they were out of egg salad ( ok whatever) so I just made it another scoop of chicken salad. I also ordered a bowl of broccoli cheese soup. I was about to leave and they had forgotten my bottled water. I had to ask for that. When I got back to the hotel, the soup was just a cup of soup and not a bowl. Also, it was cold and gross. Usually this soup is hot and delicious. It was so cold that the cheese on top wouldn't even melt in when stirred. It was less than 5 minutes that I opened it up after picking it up.
