One of my go to's for lunch option. I've tried several different chicken salads here and my favorite is the Fruity Fran. I've had the lemon basil recently and it's super good, although I wish there was a bit more lemon flavor to it. The sides are all good. My kids get the max and cheese or the ham sandwich and they love those. The place is so cute the way it's designed. Very welcoming. I absolutely love this sign in the bathroom!! Service is always good. I don't think I've ever experienced an unpleasant server. They are always happy to help and make their way through at least once during your visit to make sure you have everything you need.

I decided on something a lighter tonight and thought Chicken Salad Chick would do the trick. I have not been in a while and they went up on their prices since the last time I went. I think pretty much everyone has. I got the Kicking Kay Lynne Chicken Salad this time. It was also very good! It has just the right amount of spices in it. I also got the Potato Soup with Bacon and Cheese. This was some of the best soup I have had in a while. The only reason I pulled a star this time. I just felt the amount of food vs. what I spent was a little off. If I spend over $20 for a quick meal like this I don't expect to get small portions. The soup was in a very small bowl for the price and my chicken salad portion also didn't seem right for the cost. I didn't even get any bread or anything. Its also one of the cheapest meats on the market (Barnyard Pimp) That being said I would have given them a 4.5 if it was a option. The food was still very good! I highly recommend it if you want something different and on the light side.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I was impressed. The restaurant is following the COVID-19 protocols. The staff wears masks and gloves. The food is brought to your table, the staff fills your drink cups for you. I would suggest reviewing the menu online before stopping in, if you never tried this place. There can be a small amount of information overload when you place your order at the counter. Social distancing is in place and since it is a small restaurant you can find yourself closer to others in certain parts of the seating area. There is also outside seating. Curbside pick up and takeout are available as well. I had the trio, Classic Carol chicken salad sandwich, potato soup, which was pretty good and a sweet tea. No complaints, this is a healthier option if you are looking at healthy choices. Nice concept, this is a chain restaurant, I will visit again!

    Olivia's Old South on croissant

Had lunch here today. Counter service was really good. All the staff there were helpful and accommodating as we tasted several flavors of chicken salad. I ordered Olivia's Old South on croissant with a side of baked lays. My guest ordered Fancy Nancy on croissant with lettuce and tomato. My croissant seemed old and was a bit crusty. I also didn't think I had enough chicken salad on my bread. My guests sandwich looked a lot better than mine did. The bread was stuffed with chicken salad and a nice piece of lettuce and tomato. Lunch was just "meh" today. I will be back though because I normally enjoy the food.

Pasta salad, garden salad, mini croissant sandwich. While eating salad I saw dirty spots on spinach. Alarming.

My brother had a party for my nephew. I didn't attend because I was under the weather. My husband brought me a few things back. Everything was fine until I discovered what looked like dried up dirt on the Spinach. Anyone knows me, I love salad. This was pretty concerning as I would assume they wash their greenery. Unless it's prepackaged as most things are these days and assembled to sale.

This is crispy bacon. I ate at CSC In Olive Branch, MS. I ordered the chicken salad BLT. This is the crispy bacon I got in my sandwich.

I ate at chicken salad chick today and this is the crispy bacon on my chicken salad BLT. It was barely cooked and cold. The team leader said that's the way they get it and no way to heat it. Everything else was great.

Turkey sandwich with a scoop of salad. Hit the spot!

I've been seeing these Chicken Salad Chicks pop up everywhere, but I didn't really know what they were about. I figured they had chicken salad, but surely they can't base an entire chain of restaurants solely on chicken salad can they? Surely not! So rather than investigate, I decided to inspect it for myself. Chicken salad just ain't my thing guys. Give me some fried chicken or some pork chops or steak and I'm happy, but chicken salad? I can get that all day long at the grocery store. Come on guys. What's so special about this? Well the reason I stopped by was that I was working outside in the heat and decided I didn't want anything real heavy on my stomach, so I figured it would hit the spot, and to my surprise, it did. I had the turkey sandwich. I like that they had the option to use a scoop of salad as a side. That way I got to sample some. And I liked that they served crackers to eat it with. Now I'm not gonna brag about how great it was, because it wasn't, but it was along the lines of what I expected. The portions were better than I expected and there was plenty to fill me up. The chicken salad was kind of blah, but as I said, it's not my favorite thing in the world. I had the onion flavored one and I found it to only have a hint of onion. I tried to do a little google search to find out about the quality they claim their products to have and I couldn't find anything. I found that it started out as an illegal business defying health regulations, but I couldn't find any claims about their chicken. Lots of people just buy canned chicken to make theirs. I'm sure they don't make anything in house. I'm sure it's just like Baskin Robins where everything comes in on a truck and they just open the right tub and start scooping out of it. On a positive note, service was good and the place was clean. The value was reasonable too. Some people brag about the cookies. I didn't care for it. Too cakey. I'd rather have a fresh oatmeal or chocolate chip. This place ain't for me, but I could see where some folks would enjoy it. I'm not going to let that affect my star rating because I kinda had an idea it wouldn't knock my socks off when I walked in.

Olivia's Old South was my Favorite, but they very here Generous and will you try a few to pick your Favorite!

Nice Little Place Thats sells Very Good Chicken Salad sandwiches; because Good Chicken Salad Sandwich's are hard to find here in Memphis. I really loved the Hospitality here, They even let us try a couple of different kinds to see which I like the Best . The Olivia's Old South was my favorite and the Original is also good but my husband enjoyed the Kicken Rita as well , which had a Spicy and Cheesy Taste to It. I also liked the Grape Salad , it's Verrry Good for a Side or dessert may cause didn't care for the cookie that comes with the meal (sugar cookies I think) . So next time come and try them all and Dont forgot the Potato Soup it's good also but I did have to add a little salt for flavor to it but all in all this is a great little spot in Olive Branch that sells really Good Chicken Salad Sandwiches, on a Croissant too .....

So we drove into old towne, and found this place. Went it, buffet was cheap, $4.99 I think. People, there's a reason why. Where shall I start - Salad portion, 1 lettuce, in 2 different bowls, but, same lettuce, minimal items to put on the salad - celery was brown in one bowl, green in another, I went for the green version. Passed on the cucumbers, cut in quarters, they were multi color as they had turned mushy near the rind and in toward the center. Meats, well, & this is true, I'm not kidding, I starred at them, what I think were the meats, but had to ask the counter guy what were the meats as I couldn't tell by looking at them. ps, there were maybe 4 other people in here at lunch. He said pork chops, OK, I could see those in the gravy, meat loaf, well, I saw something with red sauce on it, but, pushing back the red sauce, that was not ground beef under it, maybe cabbage? Whatever, it was not meatloaf. And finally, BBQ.... well, I guess that was the shredded stuff with so much sauce on it, I thought it was sloppy joes. So, I tried that, but could only eat 1 bite. Although he did not say ham was one of the meat items, I swear there was a shredded ham dish (in the veggie section). It was the only 'meat' item I could eat more than 1 bite of, but my associate took 1 bite of it and could not eat any more. Veggies, there were several, I could see they were lima beans, and brown beans, for example, but could taste no difference in either. Way... way.... way.... way.... too many items on the buffet. Folks, go for Quality, not Quantity. No clue how this place stays in business. On the way back to the office, we asked ourselves: What days were the food we just ate actually cooked???

We attended church in Memphis which ends at 12:30 and bc we live out of state, we had to find things to do for 3 1/2 hrs. We discovered when we arrived that they had opened up reservations an hour early after we booked. I wish that they had first informed those of us who had first reservations so that we could move ours up. We arrived about 20 minutes early expecting to wait until our 4:00 reservation but they seated us immediately. We ordered wedge and harvest salads for our first course and the oyster deviled eggs appetizer. Both salads were very good. I did think the egg were a little bland and I didn't taste the oyster on one of the 4 deviled eggs. The candied bacon topping is what made the eggs overall good. Otherwise l, without the candied topping it was bland. I ordered the pork chop with sweet potato casserole and Brussels sprouts. My dish was very good and enough for me to take more than half for leftovers. (This doesn't mean change the portion bc it's just right.) My husband ordered the fried chicken dish. It was a giant piece of chicken. Fried very nicely but the coating was not seasoned well, if at all, to me. However, he enjoyed his meal and that's what counts. He said the collard greens were absolutely delicious and the mac and cheese was very cheesy and good! He also took home most of his meal. We don't have big appetites so the portions are probably just right for the majority. I took home the lemon pie dessert. I was expecting more of a meringue taste based on the description but it wasn't, so I wouldn't order it again. We ordered the house wine and 1 of the specialty drinks. The staff were very professional and friendly. The manager (I assume) stopped by every table to check on us. The restaurant has very nice ambiance and the tables have a nice amount of distance between them. It looks well maintained and the bathrooms are clean. The price point isn't bad esp for the generous portions. We've eaten at this restaurant a couple of times before over the years, and I still recommend it.
