The young guy at the register started the visit off a little shaky, giving incorrect information about the menu/order, but Ms Becky stepped up and provided great service. Once seated, our food came out piping hot and fresh! It was pretty cold inside, so although the weather outside hasn't warmed up just yet, we decided to sit outside....bad choice lol (the wind was crazy and blowing everything over so inside we went to endure the cold). We didn't need any more assistance but were told twice to ask if we did (positive, not a negative. They were attentive). My only "ding" is that the tables didn't seem to be as clean as they could've been...slightly greasy and streaky. I went through the drive thru so I'm not sure how the ambiance is, but it's fast food so I guess your typical setting. So here's my order: -5&5 Meal w/Potato Salad - this came with 5 party wings dip in Buffalo sauce and 5 regular fried chicken tenders. I honestly didn't think the potato salad would be as good as it was, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. -Chicken & waffles + Mac & Cheese - the tenders was crisp and flavorful. I dipped it in the slim sauce (it has a unique flavor). The waffles were pretty big and fluffy. I enjoyed them. The Mac and cheese is ok, not as cheesy as I would have liked. 1 tender meal- same as above, but I would say the fries are good. To drink, we had pink lemonade and sweet tea. It was good. The food is descent, the staff is friendly, but it's not friendly when the staff does not quality control the product before disbursing said products at the drive through. I affectionately refer to it as "The Side Chick" because it's right down the road from the other chicken place, and it's newer, better quality food, service is fast and accurate and the delightful staff always tells me to have a blessed day! The menu consists of chicken strips, wings, salads, sandwiches and wraps. Nashville hot is an option for the chicken, in addition to fried or flavorful grilled chicken. Chicken and waffles is also on the menu. The sides include things like fried okra, fried mushrooms, potato salad, a really good side salad, creamy macaroni and cheese, and of course, fries. If you're craving dessert, they have milkshakes and delicious brownie pudding and cheesecakes in reusable jars. I eat here about once a week because it's so close to my office. I decided, I would run and do curbside pick up for one of my favorite quick fixes. When these guys first opened I could not get enough of them. As time passed the quality just keeps getting worse. At first they just kept leaving items out of my meal. Here lately the chicken has been getting smaller and tasting old. I always get the same thing (Creature Of Habit) I get the Hungry Man Meal (Because I'm A Big Boy) and I usually add two extra pieces of the Texas toast. I also add two sauces (Love The Spicy BBQ) I did the curb side pick up tonight. When I got home, I opened my box and sure enough they forgot one of my toast. I think one reason they always leave things out. Is because they are so busy trying to fit everything into the one box. They use to put the extra stuff in a separate small box. This was not a deal breaker. I didn't need the extra bread anyway! As I started to eat...... I realized very quick that the chicken was ice cold and rubbery. This is not the first time its been this way. I think they get so busy, they precook chicken and warm it up as needed. I have gotten the chicken when it was crisp on the outside and juicy in the middle. Those days seem to be getting far and few between. Its sad..... one of my favorite places is slowly falling off my go to list. One upside is my tea was great! The food was not horrible or anything but they barley deserves the three star I gave them. The pros - the food was tasty. The cons - we were missing a wrap and fries from our order. We called and my mom went to pick these up, only to get vacant glassy eyed stares. They eventually gave her chicken tenders (not a wrap) and fries inside the box. These were supposed to be separate things, and after some difficulty she finally managed to get separate fries, but apparently the concept of a wrap - not tenders - being what was ordered was hard to wrap their head around. The food was hot as fire when brought to me. It was as fresh as any food that I have ever been served. They may have been the best cooked chicken tenders I've ever had. They were just short of undercooked, but managed to be completely cooked throughout. They were so tender they fell apart while trying to dip them. The fries were quite tasty, frozen fries, but whatever, so are everyone else's. I could go on and on about the positives. but... I just don't like the seasoning/breading/marinade. I am a fan of all things chicken and especially chicken wings. I go to the nearby gym and pass Slim Chicken (sl) often and see the long drive through lines. One day, I saw a short line and decided to give it a try. They had two people outside taking orders so that was fast and easy. Then we would drive up to a kiosk to to pay with another employee. As I drove up to the window, I saw several cars ahead of me. Then I noticed a door, wonder what is it used for. I then saw employees coming out with orders and was like great, I may not need to wait for everyone else's order before getting mine. I was right, got my order and was on my way. I ordered the wings and things so I can try what they got to offer. It comes with 3 wings, 3 strips, toast, and fries. Wings and strips were good sizes, I didn't care much for the toast but enjoyed the fries. Our order was two grilled chicken wraps and two strip meals, everything is put together as a meal. I just wanted water but was charged for a drink on two meals, no big deal.
