Always love stopping by when in the neighborhood. The food is always fresh, they have the best PICKLE BRINED CHICKEN TENDERS!!! Don't get 3, you'll wish you had 5 because they are so good. I really like Brewligins...the food is always good, and they have such fun and cool Halloween décor that gives the place a great vibe this time of year. The servers are always nice and friendly, which I appreciate. That said, the biggest downside is the wait time. The food consistently takes about an hour to come out, and unfortunately, it's not just a one-time thing......it happens every visit. If you're not in a rush and don't mind waiting, it's worth it for the atmosphere and taste. But if you're looking for a quick meal, just be prepared to wait quite a while. read more

I love this place, it has great food, great service and a lot of fun. I love that it's one of the only few bars that keep their kitchen open until close which is 2am this is nice when you want to have drink but need food to help with the absorption of the alcohol. A lot of other bars close their kitchen at 11pm even though they close at 2am but anyway. It's always a good time. Check them out whenever in the Trenton Downriver area. read more

I was so excited to try this place. Went in and read the menu- which is actually worth reading as it is very funny. Got a beer and admired the many tvs in the room. We ordered a few things. I got the Mattkin burger (added a tomato) and the truffle fries. The burger was ok. The onions on it were very fine and made it a little difficult to eat because they were hard to break and chew. The truffle fries had some good flavor and unfortunately the ey were like warm at best upon delivery to the table. He frito burrito was ordered by my companion. While the Mac and cheese, queso, and pico de gallo- he really couldn't taste the Fritos, straws, and smoked brisket. He asked the waitress who insisted that those were definitely in it (?). She offered another and or a free item. This is not in the area and the food was just ok, so probably not a restaurant to go out of the way for. read more

I've been here a few times and I'm such a big fan. Zach, the owner does such an amazing job of making sure you have a great time here. The food is cooked to perfection. I've been here for brunch, lunch, and now dinner. The food takes a little longer since it is prepared from scratch. But it is well worth the wait. It's a really fun atmosphere. We have been wanting to check out Brewligans for quite some time. I had a work event in Wyandotte so we decided to come after. We loved it here! It's hard to explain the atmosphere here. It's a mix between a dive bar and classy. They had a large beer selection so we were able to find something to enjoy very easily. We decided on Poutine, but I would say this wasn't up to my standards. He liked them though. We played an interesting game of Music Trivia. It was different than how we have played at other venues but it was super fun and we still got second place. They went team to team and played a song that fit into a category. You had to guess the name of the song and the artist. If you got.it wrong someone else could steal it. Then there's a sudden death at the end. This was more like "Name that tune" and very stressful. Haha. We had a great time and would recommend checking it out! read more

This bar has changed names a few times in the past 5-10 years. Now, it is Brewligans Public House. Decent bar food, solid portions, good service. I ordered Buffalo Cauliflower and when the food finally came out, it was good. It just took so long. They offer 15 different sauces to choose from which is pretty cool. They also offer a decent selection of vegan/vegetarian items which isn't typical at a bar, so kudos for that. Cocktails are pretty good and this spot isn't too pricey. We love coming to brewligans. It's a good environment with consistently good food. Their drinks are tasty and not too expensive either. We have liked everything we have eaten here. The BBQ pulled Mac is incredibly tasty. The bourbon Brussels were very good. The onions rings have the perfect crunch. I wouldn't get the asada fries next time though. They aren't flavorful enough or loaded with enough toppings. The Thai dye pig was good, but not my favorite. Their brunch menu is all super yummy. I'm a big fan of the brunch wrap. read more

I think this place has potential, but it just has a weird vibe. I've been here 2-3 times, mainly for their brunch menu. I love their cute breakfast shots that come with bacon-sooo good. But it's so weird that both times I've come here glass has been broken into their ice box.... probably because they stack glassware directly above the ice (that makes so much sense right) and the staff seemed very aggressive and rude to some of the bar back staff. It was just a weird atmosphere both times I've been in here. Other than their brunch, it's just a basic bar in downriver. Smells like one too... lol. read more

Came here on a Thursday at 6:00 and it was POPPIN'. First time dining here and our waiter recommended a lot of the Mexican food items on the menu...went with the nachos. Then my friend and I shared truffle fries for the table. Onto the nachos - the queso here is BOMB and the nachos are covered in their house queso. Serving size was HUGE. Could've easily shared this with someone else. Nachos are essentially topped with a salad of toppings - these are more for the topping lovers than the meat + cheese nacho lovers. So this trip sucked. But this was one experience and others could be much higher ratings.. We arrived at 610. We were not served until 630. No water. No drink. Nothing. We picked a corner table so I'd recommend not doing that. Find a spot front and center so you don't get overlooked. We were eventually served by Melissa. She was nice and prompt. We had our drinks in under 3 min. I think she out our food order in immediately. I can't imagine why she wouldn't have. At 650 she informed us the food should be out any second as it was the first ticket in the line. At 710 she came back to apologize and we asked to close out. Our bad experience means many others probably experienced faster service as it sounded like we were skipped many times. So I don't think we will be back. Melissa was nice and very apologetic and accommodating, but to us. It didn't appear to be a smooth operation so I'll wait until I hear improvements before coming back. Grand total 72 minutes with no food at all. Hard pass for me. read more

First time trying Brewligans Public House. Tried their fried mushrooms, truffle fries and a burger. Enjoyed the mushrooms which were crispy and lightly battered. The burger and fries were just OK. I've had better. The part that was really lacking was proper bar service. Ordered different beers and a boilermaker. I was brought out a can and a shot. No glass to actually make a drink in. I had to request a beer mug and always had to pour my own beer. Why have a bartender if you have to make your own drinks at the table? Beyond that, the music was so loud you can't actually hear anything and none of the TVs have closed captioning on to compensate for the fact you can't hear. Overall, I won't be back. The drinks are top notch, serving a tiki cocktail menu along with their beers on tap & bottle. The menu is vast, it was hard to make a decision. Everything sounded delicious! We started with the Canadian poutine. It was authentic & the best I've had in years! I will be nominating Brewligans for The Best of Detroit for their poutine! I opted for the cauliflower wings, which were mouth watering goodness! I had three dipping sauces, I couldn't decide on one! The side of Mac & cheese was made to perfection. The hand cut fries, whether the shoe string or the steak were out of this world. The hand dipped corn dog looked top-notch, the breading being more of a thin, crispy batter. Got the Mac n Cheese for brunch. Mimosas were spot on! Mac n Cheese was incredible! And the 90s music made the atmosphere so fun!

Really enjoyed this place. Ended up here late at night after a long day. The kitchen is open until 2am. They have a lot of different menus, some with standards, some with specials meals, some with special drinks. We opted for the footlong hot dog specialty menu, I got the Cuban, Huby got the BBQ Bacon, and we split an onion ring. The cuban had ham and pork on it, and was delicious. The BBQ had bacon, BBQ chip dust, bbq sauce and i think fried onion straws and was really good too. We also each got a beer ( or 2 in my case). I like that they offer what they call "Dad Beer" specials. Im not a huge beer person, but I'm trying to develop a taste for it, and even though i like craft beer (or the idea of it) a lot of times, I just want a basic, light lager, to wash down my food and I dont want to pay $6-8 for it. Enter in Dad Beer- and they are basic beers for $2-3 bucks, I got me a basic rolling rock, and hubs got a strohs. They even run specials for dad beers and shots togther for $5. One of my absolute favorite places downriver. The owners are so respectable in how the operate their business & support other local bars. They interact w/ guests & go out of their way to get to know the locals- if you have a complaint, they will personally make it right & earn your loyalty. The servers are always super bubbly & never let the stress of the job show, so your dining experience is always an enjoyable one. Food is creative but classic. I ordered a salad with chicken due to some current dietary restrictions and it was good. The atmosphere is pretty busy, with lots of TVs, hanging lights, and moderately loud music. It was hard to have ADHD and have a conversation here but it was a fun place to sit and chat.
