    Street corn crab nachos
    Jessica S.

I made reservations for a family dinner on Thursday night. We were greeted promptly and shown to our table. Although the rest of my family had been there before, this was my first time. Our server Matthew was friendly and helpful. They have an extensive bar menu as well as Coke products. We had the Street Corn Crab Nachos, boneless wings, cheesesteak, and the chicken sandwich classic. We split an order of crab fries. The portions are not huge and are appropriate sizes. The food was delicious. There are many TVs playing sports. There's a good vibe. There's also a parking lot because the restaurant is near a shopping center in Drexel Hill. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped by because I was in the area and thought it would be a good lunch! Sadly, I think this location is suffering from what all industries are dealing with and that is being 'understaffed'! This shift seemed to be run by all the new summer hires and they were frazzled to say the least! There wasn't any silverware or napkins offered..had to ask for it; our drinks came out separately and the request for additional condiments took at least 10 minutes to receive! Once the food arrived it was Chickie's and Pete's taste profile ..just lukewarm! The server was doing her best and she was tipped over 20%...this is not of her doing...way beyond her control! Overall, I wasn't pleased..but the juggernaut of Chickie's and Pete's will not be stopped by my opinion!

Not a great experience! The food was just OK. The service left a lot to be desired. I had to flag down the waitress for more water. We had to ask for napkins and utensils. It was not busy so I'm not sure why the service was so bad. They were training a new waitress so there were 2 people technically serving us but that didn't help. The soup was not hot and they put oyster crackers in my soup without asking. I did not want them. My husband didn't get any and he would have liked them. Our French Fries never came - again we had to wave down the waitress to ask for them. I would not go back.

This was my first time at a Chickie and Petes and came here with some friends The service was good. The burger was ok but not for me. The crab fries were tasty. Probably won't be back

Pretty good service, food was okay. We went on Fry-Day where they were doing a fundraiser with $1 Crab Fries. We saw the sign driving past and decided to stop in. The girls outside were nice and welcoming, and when we went inside, we were seated right away. Our food came fast, was hot and good. Nothing too fancy, but good, it tasted as described, although the Buffalo Chicken Nachos had a "movie theater food" taste, but still good. Big enough servings for us to share. Our server was nice, attentive, answered all of our questions and we were pretty much in and out. The place was pretty empty when we went but was picking up as we were leaving. They do have a upstairs because I could see winding stairs in the inside. They have a really huge TV as well as nice size others where you can pretty much see the screen from wherever you are sitting. They have table tops and regular seating

The first time I visited this establishment was for the all you can eat crabs. They did a great job. I then went again to another location and had the crab nachos...dramatic pause...they were so good. I used to attend another spot fir crab nachos but Chickie and Pete - you have my allegiance (unless someone else knocks you out the park). Love the atmosphere. Keeps you updated on sports and allows you space so you don't feel crowded. I'll take an order of crab nachos please.

I like coming here for the crab fries and mussels; once in a while I will order a Philly Cheesesteak but today I strayed from my norm and tried something dIfferent - Limoncello Seafood Bake... Bad choice, it was so bland. It was made with jumbo lump crab meat, shrimp and mozzarella cheese - the presentation was great but the flavor was underwhelming... Was also disappointed when I noticed that my silverware was not clean :-(

We love chickie and petes. The crab fries are to great. Try the shrimp. Cold or hot. I like the hot. The cheesesteaks are good as are the cutlet sandwiches. The crabs are excellent. You need to try the lobster roll. Gets really crowded around game times. Only other thing is I wish that they had some vegetables to make the dinner a little healthy. We finally tried the lobster roll. I thought it would be good but it's not. All claw meat and mushy. Not good flavor.

Now I know why Chickie and Pete's is known for crab fries and not lobster cheesesteak. You can see in my pictures there is not much meat. The meat that is there is not the greatest. It was not cut in half so my pictures are not be as good as @phillyfhoodgod. Bloodmoney beer from Conshohocken brewing on tap. The roll was good and the cheese sauce is pretty amazing.

One dozen oysters. Kinds small, but oh so good!

She is very picky about what she likes and luckily for some reason PJ's has several things on their menu that she enjoys and will actively order. It's actually one of the only places I have ever seen her put real thought into what she is going to get because she is attempting to decide between the different options available to her. I am also a big fan of their Cobb salad. There is nothing all that special about it; I am just a fan of their flavor spread and mix they choose for their Cobb and I love that it comes on a long rectangular plate. Everyone else is also always able to find something here that they will be happy with, which is also a big plus. There is nothing great and there is nothing bad about PJ's and it sits right in this Goldilocks zone where you can always know you'll simply be satisfied with your order, regardless of what it is. If you're one of those people who nitpicks every little detail in a chain restaurant, then I expect you to be right at home here, ruining the lives of the staff who are mostly younger, simply trying to make their way on to something else in their lives with a stop along the way in foodservice at this upgraded sports bar, tchotchke type restaurant. The menu is extensive and I have never had a problem in the multiple times that I have been to any of the multiple locations they boast. If there is a PJ Whelihan's near you, which there probably is, you should go. It will likely be a good experience and the food is good. It could possibly turn into a place you end up going frequently. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. They also have a rotating draft beer menu that isn't ever going to leave you enthralled, but it's enough to keep you entertained and coming back for a meal every once and a while, and that's good enough!

Shots were sufficient, no real issue with that. Maybe another bartender would help. The place is spacious, vibe is great. This night they played American Music and Caribbean music so great blend. We would have loved a side cup of it for dipping. Still a solid appetizer. For entrees, I had the gnocchi, one of my favorite pasta dishes. It did not disappoint! The sauce was a great consistency, and the gnocchi were cooked to perfection. I wasn't used to the portion size though. I ended up taking home enough for probably another two meals. Great value here.
