I contacted Mr.White on the phone because my wife and I needed our kitchen counter tops replaced. Years of normal wear and tear! We set up an appointment to meet and discuss what could be done. Mr. White showed up 15 minutes early which I was impressed with right off. He came in and surveyed the situation and offered his expertise as to the several options that we could chose from! He gave us a quote and said he had to go and write up the contract. After all that was agreed upon he went above and beyond by fixing the leak under the sink for us free. I highly recommend this Chickys Handyman. He came to evaluate my through-wall AC unit and explained all the details and options. I decided to have the unit removed, and he did an excellent job taking it out, closing up the opening with sheetrock, finishing the interior work, and replacing the exterior shingles. He even painted them to match perfectly. The result looks amazing -- you'd never know an AC unit was ever there. He was professional, neat, and very thorough. Don't hire!! This business is completely unprofessional, incompetent and rude! We hired Chris White to do a small job of moving a short wall from my kitchen into my dining room so a new refrigerator we just purchased would fit. Chris came to look at the job and after my husband explaining to him what we wanted done , he accepted the job and gave us a quote and told us he would be back the following Tuesday to do the job. On Tuesday, March 18th, he showed up and came in and first looked around and immediately commented " I thought your husband said he was going to take out the small cabinet above the refrigerator himself". I told him that what he said was that if he got a chance he would try to do that ahead of time for him. He was immediately annoyed at that response and that it wasn't done. He was huffing and puffing and breathing heavily and loudly and making remarks out loud. I was sitting in the living room next to the kitchen working on my lap top and holding my small dog. I guess after a while and a lot of struggling he got the small cabinet out and then a few moments later I heard an extremely loud crash and him like yelling" oh my god , oh my god I can't believe this is happening " I ran into the kitchen and my main large cabinet came down with all my dishes, and a coffee canister with coffee beans in it were scattered and broken everywhere all over my kitchen floor and into my dining room area as well, I saw his vacuum he brought inside my house just sitting there so I immediately grabbed it and started vacuuming up the mess myself. While I was doing that, he was literally just like standing there holding my broken cabinet and yelling that he couldn't believe that happened and blaming my husband that our cabinets were never installed properly?? Like 15 years ago??? He never apologized for breaking the cabinet and never offered to help me or tell me that I shouldn't be on the floor cleaning up his mess!! It was insane! He finally put the broken cabinet down on the floor in my dining room and told me he was going to Home Depot to buy some glue?? I was like ok and when he left I called my husband and told him what happened and sent him a video of what my kitchen now looked like. He was like why was he even touching that big cabinet it had nothing to do with the job he was hired to do. He said he was going to call him and tell him to just go back to my house and get his things and just leave before he broke anything else. When he got back he told me what my husband said and got his stuff and before he left he had the audacity to ask me for $100 for his time he spent in my home??? Which was literally like 2 hours tops and all he did was take down the small cabinet and then literally break my other cabinet along with my set of everyday dishes, and a coffee canister containing a pound of expensive coffee beans???!! I gave him the money and as he was walking out he said" well if your husband wants anything else broken let me know"??? I just didn't know what to say!! After waiting a day to see if I would hear from him again at all to like apologize or maybe feel bad and return my $100 , I called the two numbers for him and got no answer and left voicemails asking him to please get back to me with his insurance information so we could file a claim with them to help us out with paying for a new cabinet or possibly all new cabinets because when my husband got home that night and looked at it and realized it was broken where we couldn't put it back up , he called Kraft Maid , the company we bought it from years ago , and they told him that one was not available anymore. I also emailed him 3 times asking for his insurance information as well and went on his business website chat box and did the same thing h twice there too. I still have gotten NO RESPONSE AT ALL from any of those communications I contacted him through!!! What I have to say now to anyone who might be considering hiring him, " DO NOT DO IT!!!!
