It was a small project and we had had a difficult time finding someone to take it on. We were incredibly lucky to find Christopher at just the right time. We reached out to him on a Wednesday afternoon and the timing worked out that he came by the very next day, gave us a very reasonable quote, and was able to start the work on Friday, and complete it on Saturday. His communication was excellent, and he was very straightforward about the whole process. He let us know exactly what he was going to do and checked in throughout the work to be sure it was what we wanted. He's a trustworthy guy, as well as just a very nice person to work with. We couldn't be happier about the work - he did a fast, thorough, and phenomenal job, and was kind enough to offer us advice and pointers on the painting (still upcoming!) that would need to be done after the construction. I hired Chris to replace my dryer vent tubing. I had a flexible vent and wanted a smooth solid tubing. It required cutting into my ceiling inside and outside on my deck. It took 3 days to complete at 2-3 hours each day. When he finished the job I realized after the fact that he did not install the solid smooth vent I requested. He did not connect it to the outside and left it coiled up inside the ceiling. He left the job a complete mess. When I called him to discuss the work he claimed in a perfect world I needed to create a vent to a completely different part of the house and proceeded to talk about other parts of my house that were not up to code like my deck railing. When I asked him how he was going to fix the job he tried to quote me more money to come back and fix it. I am at a complete loss for words for how unprofessional the work was completed and the response to rectify things. I wish there was a way to share pictures of what I am sharing. After reading other negative reviews, Chris never owns up to his work. He gets defensive and discusses only positive reviews. I am sure he will try to do the same here. I fully intend to take legal action and just extremely disappointed by the whole situation. I feel I was taken advantage of and made out to feel stupid for questioning him. We moved into our first home, an older home that had been in the same family for over thirty years, recently. There were some things that hadn't been addressed in a while, including the extremely old (i.e. very drafty!) door from the house to the mudroom/enclosed porch. We got a quote from a national brand and then decided to shop around. I'm so glad we did! Chris was able to provide a quote on the mudroom door AND outside door that was less than the national company for just one door, and suggested some modifications that have made a huge difference! When it comes to the work, it was absolutely professional from start to finish. Chris was great about scheduling and we were never blindsided by unexpected costs - he was upfront the whole time and honest. The actual work itself was A+ quality. He clearly cares about his craftsmanship and it shows in the work. The doors look great and I can already tell a difference (my heating bills will too in the winter!). Chris modified a cabinet over our old refrigerator so that a new, taller fridge would fit under it. He did a great job, working quickly and efficiently, using a vacuum as he made cuts so that sawdust wouldn't get all over the kitchen. He left the site clean and neat, and you can barely tell that the cabinet has been altered. I will definitely call Chris next time we have some carpentry work to do. read more

Can't be happier with our experience. It started with a prompt request for information and Christopher was on site the very next day to provide a quote. We had ordered our own tile prior to contacting him so he started that very next week and completed the project quicker than we had hoped for.
