I had an extremely frustrating experience trying to diagnose an issue with my Jeep Wrangler. It had to be towed 4 times to four different mechanics running me hundreds of dollars, and none of them could figure out the problem. If I could give no stars I would. Wife's car broke down in Oroville on her way to work. Called Chico economy towing. A gentleman answered he was very polite and said he was able to do the tow, he had 2 jobs ahead of me and would call me when he was on his way. It was 12:30pm. So I let my wife know that he would be on his way but it might be a bit. Never received a call back from him. I would not recommend at all. Very polite on the phone just not reliable. read more

I was involved in a car accident on Friday 11-27 from a driver that ran a red-light. I suffered a concussion and was told the day after the tow service that towed my car (Chico Economy Towing). The lot was closed for the weekend so I waited til Monday to go get my belongings. I arrived mid-afternoon and was promptly helped by the lady at their front desk. I Opened my car to realize I had money missing from the console of my car. Gary is the tow truck drivers name I believe. Needless to say I'm disappointed that he felt the need to go through my stuff and have the audacity to steal from someone who had been injured. I didn't receive any apology. The WORST service from anyone EVER!!! We placed a call at 11:00 AM to our insurance for a tow for our stranded car. We were told it would be 90 minutes. After several hours the guy says he's at the car (we were not); he was supposed to call us when he was on his way. Just when he finally gets our car on the truck, he receives an emergency call. He then lowers my car back off the truck and says he has to leave but will be back later. WHAT?!? Just as the previous review said, he left me for a better paying job! Hours later he says he's on his way back to our car. He never shows up after waiting 40 minutes!!! He said he had to get another car. Our car was finally delivered to our house at 11:00 PM!!! TWELVE HOURS LATER. He just kept saying it was a very busy day. Pathetic. read more

I've used several towing companies throughout the state of California, and I have to say that Chico Economy Towing provides a service without equal. My forerunner died in the driveway, so I called State Farm to arrange a tow to my mechanic via my road side policy coverage. The tow truck arrived within ten minutes, and Len (the driver) asked what was wrong with the vehicle. I explained that it felt like a starter issue and he offered to check it out. We popped the hood, he tinkered with it for a second and he got my forerunner started quickly--confirming that it was indeed a bad starter. He offered to follow me to my mechanic and give me a ride home after, which was above and beyond--but definitely appreciated. He even gave me an in depth summary on the ride back of how the street grids break down in town, as I'm new to Chico and still finding my way around. This place doesn't even deserve a star. the owner of this place treats customers like crap,I can not image how she treats her workers! When my car got stolen and the police found it they called Chico economy towing. I dealt with Cathy the owner .She was rude from the start.
