I have lived in Chico, CA since March of 2012, and I have to dedicate some time to praising Chico Florist! In the entirety of me living here I have never received such great customer service! I was in a panic via another florist "ghosting" me (no name needed,) and I was also overly worried that my scenerio being very last minute//COVID-19 that I would be doomed. Krista & Shey, however, went above and beyond to assure me that I would be taken care of, and now all my worries are magically gone! When my Uncle passed I called Chico Florist and they couldn't have been nicer or more professional. I was so impressed. They took my order over the phone and were just very compassionate and helpful. I had no idea what to order and their suggestions were just great. We live out of state and they emailed a short video of the arrangement they made and it was just gorgeous. My aunt was truly impressed and they delivered it quickly and for just a tiny fee. I would definitely use Chico Florist again. So here's my story. My mom graduated from college and is scheduled to walk with her class on friday. Im from the SF bay area and have to find a florist fast to get a flower Lei. After some calls I find Chico florist and they have 1 Lei left which they were more then happy to put a hold on it for me. The mission: To get from the SF bay area to Chico Florist before they close @ 5:30. I call from Vacaville to see if im going to make it on time, the incredibly nice lady on the phone (krista i believe) says she'll keep it open if Im running a little behind! I managed to make it on time and get the Lei (which was beautiful btw). I couldnt believe how awesome the customer service was, even from an outsider like me. She even offered if I was running extremely late to give the Lei to another adjacent business that is open late, for me to pick up from them. Phenominal customer service, is all I have to say!!! She sat down with me from the very beginning and helped me create my dream floral idea for my wedding. She is extremely knowledgeable about all flowers and greenery, very easy to get a hold of (email/phone), reasonably priced, and super flexible. We had changed the wedding date several months before and Krista had originally mentioned that she wouldn't be able to drop off the flowers since she had other weddings to do that day (she would have to staff do this), but sure enough she was there in person on our big day. So I haven't been to a flower shop in a *looong* time, and was a bit anxious about going into a florist like a total and complete noob, rapidly getting overwhelmed by the typical pitch and gigantic laminated book. However, Chico Florist totally upturned my perspective on the process. All I let them know when I walked in was "I don't know what I want, but I want it today." Despite the craziness of the Chico State Graduation, one of their florists patiently walked me through some options and within less than 5-minutes helped me find some potted azaleas. Actually, she by far exceeded my expectations, I was speechless when she arrived with the flowers on my wedding day. Krista enjoys what she does and it shows in her work, she is truly the best at what she does. These guys provided A+ customer service and beautiful flowers!! So, I wanted to do something nice for my mom on her birthday/Mother's Day, and since I live out of town, I figured a nice flower surprise would be perfect. I ordered the flowers to be delivered on a Friday without realizing my Mom and Dad had left town for the weekend. When I called my Dad and found out that they had already left, I immediately called Chico Florist and asked them if the flowers had already been delivered and I told them the situation. They immediately tracked down the delivery guy for me and had him pick up the flowers from the doorstep even though he had already dropped them off. They were happy to deliver a new, fresh arrangement to the house on Monday, free of charge. I was so pleased that they were willing and able to do this for me. The flowers showed up on Monday as promised, and they were absolutely gorgeous. It was the night before Halloween and I was feeling bad about not having sent my dad anything in the mail for his favorite holiday (my dad's very much a kid at heart.) I stumbled upon the Chico Florist website and was able to quickly and easily make an order. I didn't have an exact idea of how I wanted the arrangement to look, I just chose "designer's choice" and included a note with a few ideas (fun/Halloween-themed/include some Halloween candy like Kit Kat bars if possible, etc.) I submitted my online order and hoped for the best. Fast forward to the next day around 1:00 PM, and my dad contacts me almost in tears of joy. He was so excited to receive his special Halloween surprise. I never saw the finished product but it sounded fantastic. From what my dad described it was fun and festive, with orange and yellow flowers, a very nice pumpkin-shaped vase, and they even included two bags of his favorite candy--Kit Kat bars! I was inspired to write my review just now because my dad texted me just to say how nice and fresh the flowers still look (almost a week later.) Excellent experience and I look forward to using Chico Florist again for future surprises for my dad. read more
