They started as a striking jazz trio, but I have since seen them cover an astounding array of popular music and styles ranging from 50s lounge music, to 60s rock and folk classics, to 70s new wave, to 80s power rock, to 90s disney songs, to 00's indie rock, and everything in between. Band leader Josh Hegg is also one of the most professional and hard working musicians in town right now. I would not hesitate to book these guys for any event, wedding, party, or engagement.

This past week we happened to hear a group that really sounded great! Sitting down we found 4 young men playing jazz with such a great sound, enthusiasm and actually were enjoying themselves! We stayed up past our usual time we go to our room...we clapped, smiled and they responded like wise. We ran into them throughout the hotel, by the pool and in the gym working out...they are friendly, outgoing and truly nice men! The group consist of a bass, piano keyboard, drums and violin....this combo sounded so great together the violin adding such a soothing sound....they play classics, new releases (Adele/Hello) and all around MUSIC you want to continue hearing. They are REFRESHING, fun and REALLY VERY TALENTED they don't play just the typical jazz sounds they have an INCREDIBLE RANGE of notes, sounds eclectic play lists overall if I had an event wedding any celebration of life THEY WOULD BE MY GO TO BAND. We live close to Chico where they are based out of....WE WILL DEFINITELY FOLLOW THIS GROUP...if needing to hire a CLASSIC, AWESOME GROUP w/skills that vary greatly HIRE THIS GROUP or seek them out when in RENO at the end of the month or anywhere you are lucky enough to find them WELL WORTH FINDING their next gig...

Movies like The Goonies (win), Ghost Busters, Super Troopers, Hook, etc etc. Movies you know every line of and always wished you had seen in the theater, now you can! They show movies more than one night a week, but Tuesday is the day my friend, as it's $2 for the flick, $2 for Sierra on tap (yeah boyee!), and $2 for movie food and candy. The early show is less crowded, the late show rambunctious as hell. You want to get faded off cheap delicious beers and yell out the lines to your favorite 80's movie with a bunch of other fun-lovin' hooligans? This is the place!!! Also they have $3 Thursdays, if Tuesday is a no-go. Plus they have a list when you pay to suggest future movies. Also: Don't bring the kids, there will be swearing I can guarantee it. AND: DO NOT come to this if you want a quiet movie experience, this is all about INTERACTIVITY! And bless 'em for it!!! The El Rey is a WAY better place to see live music than The Senator, because they actually have good acoustics.

We moved to Chico about a year and a half ago. My daughter immediately started taking classes at…read moreHype. While she liked her instructors, they changed often. The waiting room is full of caddy moms. They talk bad about the owners, about each other and even about the young dancers. It is a appalling. The facility is filthy and extremely disorganized. My daughter learned dances, but absolutely no fundamentals. If you are not part of their Fusion Dance Company (competition team) you basically don't matter. The recital is simply a money maker for them- 4 shows over 3 days, if your child is in more than one class, or if you have multiple kids taking classes, expect to make a weekend of it, and plan to purchase tickets for each performance, so they can show off the fusion team.
