Since my last visit a few years ago, this location has gone the way of other Chico's. The store is filled with lots of bold prints, clothing embellished with embroidered (hello 70s), studded jeans and bling. Their demographic is women older than 50, but their clothing selection is trying way too hard to say, "I'm still young." They would do far better with natural fabrics vs polyester, and basic layering pieces and wardrobe staples in solids and neutrals. So that everyone feels like they are wearing a small size, they did away with the standard U.S. sizing of 0-32, and created their own size range of 0-4. The rationale being that with just 5 sizes, no one is labeled plus size. Ridiculous. Everyone knows that size 4 is larger than size 0. And for those that don't shop here frequently, it's challenging to figure out what size pants or top to bring into the dressing room. With just 4-5 sizes, it means that each size fits a variety of sizes and shapes, so the item is either too big or too small. Not a fan. Chicos is big on accessorizing. Their signature style is big, chunky long and short necklaces. Lots of bling, plus belts, scarves and hats. The associates are friendly and helpful. If this is your style, it's a great place to shop, just doesn't work for me. read more

I have shopped that the LO Chico's for several years. But my last experience may be my last. I had the rudest person talking at me. I told her several times To leave me alone To the point I finally told her I did not like her and she should be fired. The store manager is Kristen, that I thought cared for her customers. I find out she does not care. Just told me to let it go. I have had a week to think about it. There has to be other stores to shop in. I have been a loyal Chico's customer since 2007 and have spent many thousands of dollars there. Their current owners have largely ruined the brand and their product line has gotten worse. I sure hope somebody at Chico's sees this. read more

On December 28, my daughter and I went shopping at your Chico's store the minute I walked in I noticed there were two ladies neither approached me or my daughter so I started up a conversation with a lady who had dark hair she turns out to be very sweet, unfortunately I can't say that for the lady with red hair she was so rude and unprofessional upon asking her a question I felt that she was a bit racist and didn't want to help us, but as soon as another customer walked in the door she went right up to help her which made my daughter and I feel really disrespected! My prayer is that the lady with the red hair would get some counseling courses on how to treat people of color and not show how ugly she really is read more

Very disappointed!! My wife (in her mid 60's) has had a series of strokes over the last 10 years that has left her in a wheelchair and often home bound. She has to cancel many outings as she does not feel well, or there is no wheelchair access. It breaks my heart as she goes through this. Always a smile and positive attitude. Her caregiver received a call from the Lake Oswego store last Monday regarding a fashion show on Thursday from 1-3pm. She was being personally invited to as she was a "Very Special" past customer. My wife was beyond excited! She rescheduled an at home appointment so she would be able to go. The day before the event her caregiver called the store to verify there was wheelchair access and could she also attend as her companion. She was put on a short hold and was told that it would be fine, and they look forward to seeing them. It takes several hours for my wife to get up in the morning and ready for the day. Thursday morning, they made sure to get her up by 9am to be ready for the 1pm show. She was having a good day and looked forward to the event. When they got there, it became apparent there was no show, and they were deceived. There was nothing scheduled. It was just a normal day. While there, they heard one of the people working talking on the phone explaining to someone there was not a fashion show per se. How many people did the call for this ruse? Chico's has been my wife's got to store for years. Usually very attentive. Very disappointed with this store. She may shop Chico's in the future, but it will not be at the Lake Oswego store! I am very sad for my wife. Two days later it still makes me sick in the pit of my stomach. Shame on them. read more

Let me say at the outset that I know nothing of women's clothing but my wife is the best part of my life and I want to surround her with whatever is beautiful, whatever pleases her. It is pointless for me to ask what that might be, but I observe that she puts some catalogues or advertisements aside for closer review and one of these was from Chico's, so I stopped in for a gift certificate and the staff was very pleasant, very helpful. My wife is better equipped, more knowledgeable in making an assessment or providing a critique, but I appreciated being treated like a gentleman and I hope they treat my wife like the lady she is when she stops in to use that gift certificate. read more

I love this store. The Chico girls are helpful, but not pushy. I am independent and don't need some one following me around. They are perfect and always there when I need help!. This carries what I like. I'm glad it's in Lake Oswego. Shame on poor reviews...a great store with great help. I spend money there and my husband buys me gift cards from there!!! read more

This store is tiny compared to most Chico's stores. There just isn't much there, and yet they are understaffed. The good news is, there is free parking nearby. read more

In the past the service has been great! Always hello can I help you! My partner and I have spent lots of money in this store. However the last two times I have visited the ladies working here have lived up to the LO snobby stereotype. I have gone in to find outfits for different events. Both times I had just finished a workout and came in on my way home. Perhaps they felt I was not appropriately dressed or maybe they thought I did not have the money to spend or who knows why not one person said hello how can I helped you to me but as soon as some other lady came in they were on her like flies on manure. I guess I will go to Columbia or title nine or Nordstrom and spend money on something that fits my taste for my Johns Hopkins alumni lunch at a vineyard tomorrow. I have been shopping at Chico's for many years. They have wonderful sales and I often find great pieces for a good value. What is missing in recent years is good customer service. The staff used to be very helpful to you personally when shopping. For example, a sales staff actually looking for items you might like. That seems to be missing at this store. At times I have witnessed sales staff trying on clothes instead of paying attention to me---the customer. Perhaps they don't want to risk being "pushy". The current store manager is wonderful and a hard worker. Instead of sitting around chatting amongst themselves they may wish to actually track what a customer needs. I only continue to frequent the LO store because it is so close to where i live in PDX. read more
