Only one other customer was in the store and she was leaving, but the chubby saleswoman could not be bothered to greet us or end her conversation to help my mom and me. The Asian woman was just as rude these people were not at all friendly, they were snooty and rude. Before I shop I usually look at other reviews and I see why this store has only three stars! Sooo to be honest, Chico's is more so for older folks and can be on the pricey end a bit. I was just in the area during the weekend and decided to drop by to check it out. At first glance, I didn't like anything! Then one of the ladies named Cynthia came to see if she can help me find something. First off, I loved her outfit! Loved the color combination and jewelry she had on and everything she was wearing was from Chicos. Cynthia was also the most sweetest, funny and super energetic worker I've ever met at any retail store! I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I did while I was at being helped by Cynthia lol I ended up staying at Chico's for over an hour and actually purchased a few jewelry pieces and outfits..honestly, I would have never guessed I'd find anything here but I fell in love with the color combinations and outfits she picked out for me! read more

I was next door at William and Sonoma frantically picking up last minute Thanksgiving items. I had extra time, so I meandered over. I have never shopped at a Chico's, so I wasn't sure what the clothes was like. Right when I stepped in, I was immediately acknowledged with a welcome. The greeting came from the gal at the register who was ringing up a client. Olivia was terrific. She and her co-worker assisted all the clients, making sure everyone was recognized and not neglected. She provided excellent customer service without being overbearing or intrusive. She explained the number sizing: 000=size 0, 00= 2, 0=4, .5=6, 1=8, so on. Hmm, it was kinda fun to say out loud that I'm a size .5 though. LOL. Anyway, the clothes were stylish, with a casual relaxed vibe. To be honest, I liked about less than 10 percent of the styles. But I purposely honed in on the clearance and sales rack in the back of the store. There were additional markdowns. I found several pieces that were over 40% marked off so the pricing was on par with the likes of Ross or a TJ Maxx. I bought a black knit jersey top with a loose waist fit and green sweater shirt with gold tone back zipper. If I am back in this neighborhood, I will carve out some time to pop in again. read more

I cannot explain how offended I was by my experience here.. There were three staff while I was there and I wasn't addressed once and there were no other customers in the store. Rather than assist me they chose to continue their personal conversations. I guess I didn't meet their required profile and as such the sales girls just couldn't be bothered. I have read the owners comments, while I appreciate a response from the owner I feel that the content of the response is very telling in it's nature. My comments of the staff being snooty were not addressed in any way nor was I validated as a long time customer who had a comment that might just provide food for thought for a business . I spoke to some of my friends about this issue, they agree with me on the snooty conduct of the staff of Chico's, they have experienced it as well and totally feel the way I do about the bony models. I almost wish I had not received a response from the owner, I just don't feel that a customer's opinion matters much to her. read more

Eight years ago I used to find really trendy things at Chico's & bought them-- burn-out velvet jackets & floaty silk tops to wear over tees with their jeans. I also used to love their Traveler's line. Times have changed but not for the better at Chico's-- the jeans don't fit right-- I'm 4' 11" and the short length are far too long unless I want to wear high heals--not really. Their traveler's line lacks quality in the material and the fit isn't the same--and it's not that my shape has changed as I still have some Travelers pants & jackets that fit just fine. Now the only thing I buy at Chico's are their t-shirts. I do like the elbow length sleeves on the tees that they've carrying--but that's about it and the 3 star rating is for the tees. I will add that the sales ladies did greet me when I entered & offered assistance when I was checking out the tees--so have no problem with the sales staff. read more

Terrible exchange policy! I shopped early for Christmas (Nov. 2017). I told the sales lady that my purchases were Christmas gifts. She wasn't concerned enough to warn me that I might want to wait closer to Christmas because they don't accept exchanges or return for credit- EVER apparently after 60 days. One of my sisters has been trying for 3 weeks to get a sweater exchanged. Of course every day that goes by takes her well beyond their 60 day iron clad exchange date. Customer service in their stores to date has been unsympathetic. One suggested today that she try to sell it to a friend!!!! Give me a break. The tags are on and it's never been worn. Why can't an exchange be made? Now she has a $70.00 gift and unable to wear it. I am so mad! Good customer service is what they lack!! read more

3 1/2 is what I would rate this Chico location. Why? When I walked into the store I was not greeted as friendly as the other women shopping. Mind you I was wearing flip flops, my workout shorts and a tanktop that revealed my half sleeve tattoo, as well as my other tats. Therefore my outside image did not portray my bank account balance. I had to ask for a dressing room (I was carrying 4 slacks and 3 tops) once I was helped and spoke to I believe the clerks became comfortable. I have a special account with Chico due to my high volume of spending with their company. Other than the misjudgment of my appearance the quality in their clothing is a 4 and I would go back over and over again to purchase chico clothes. read more

Fun place to shop for us women over a certain age. Most of the staff is very kind and helpful. A few sales ladies can be a bit snobby. But, it IS Corona del Mar, after all. Sales are great. Great bargains if you hit it on the right days. Nice shopping center - Bristol Farms, nice restaurants, other small shops. Weather is usually cooler as the location is near the coast. read more

I personally always loved shopping at Chico's though I was never able to afford to do so often even before the economy tanked. Most of my favorite clothes in my closet are from Chico's - I love how long they last and how good they look and ease of care. I never had any problems with the customer service there, and I'm just an average American woman, not wearing stylish clothing or anything when I go shopping. I do agree that I prefer to see models in catalogs that are a size 10-12, at least, so that I have some idea what the clothes will look like on a real woman. read more

This was my first visit to this location and I must say I was extremely disappointed in the service. I walked around the store at least 3 times before the sales woman said hi. She never walked over and ask me if there was anything in particular I was looking for or what she could do to help. I have shopped in a number of chicos before. Then a gentleman was goin to ring me up but he had to help another customer first while all this sales woman was doing is carrying containers of stock. My experience was not good. I attempted to make a return after 35 days with tags and receipt. The local store was unable to credit my debit card (which had been used to buy the merchandise) and I was told I would have to wait two to three days for a refund. In addition I left the store with no receipt or confirmation of having returned the merchandise other than a corporate phone number that I was to call the next day for confirmation. The local ladies were great but their corporate system stinks. If you want easy return go to anywhere but Chico's. read more
