I've been in search of a go-to taco place close to my office, and stumbled upon this spot today. Hands down, some of the best tacos I've had in my life! The fish is cooked and seasoned to perfection and the aioli on top was the perfect finish. I picked up a friend from the airport after I left, and then took him right back there for dinner. Found them on Sacramento Marketplace boldly presenting this wonderful bowl of menudo with a whole hock surrounded with wonderful pieces of tripe! Called to make sure they were gonna have it and they said we make it everyday! Got there about a quarter after 11 which is when they open, asked fo 3 orders to go, waited bout 20 minutes and paid $12 a bowl! Got home and didn't find any pork let alone a whole hock, very, very disappointed, especially since I showed her the picture!! FYI This place is disgusting!!! We ordered some tostadas de ceviche and my son had some chicken wings and the wings were raw and cold! We told the young lady and she literally stuck her finger in the wings to feel them and said "oh yeah they're a little cold" and left wth!? We went to pay and the guy at the register would not deduct the wings from our bill even after getting confirmation of the wings being cold and undercooked from the waitress!! I try so hard to eat local and not go to chain restaurants but this is how some business work and that's unfortunate because they just lost a customer for their lack of customer service and food handling. Our food was amazing and authentic. Reminded me of our favorite place in Mazatlán! We had Aguachiles and Tacos de pescado. Potions are generous and the quality was excellent. i'm not the type of person to leave a review but this was just one of the few experiences that can't stay silent. myself along with some group of friends went to this restaurant on a saturday mainly because nothing else was open around 12am. upon arriving they had karaoke and there were vero few people, as we sit down one of my friends notices a dead fly on the table, we should've left since then honestly. 3 of my friends order the carne asada fries along with myself, i swear the only thing that had flavor was the avocado they put on top. i wasn't gonna complain because it was nearly 1am, my other friend however ordered Camarones A La Kora, he told me to try the rice and it tasted as if it was cooked in a clay pot, i didn't even wanna try the beans, he was poking the shrimp and built up the courage to eat some when he noticed they were mushy, they might've been rotten. we finish eating and we're all just regretting this, we should've gone to in n out or stayed home. we're all heading out to pay and 2 of my friends walk out as we're paying and as we're paying a friend of mine walks back in with a bloody nose, i ask what happened and he tells me he threw up, he asks some dude who i assume is the owner for some napkins and i can't make this up he asks him if he did drugs or something. he tells him the food was nasty and just brushes it off, we all leave the restaurant and we're in the parking lot rethinking life when another one of my friends starts throwing up, shortly after i also throw up, i check on my friend and he's scared telling me he heard a pop in his eye, i start recording him to see how his eye is and it's as if he got stung by a bee, his whole eye is just swollen, we all get worried and immediately take him to the ER where we later find out he popped a blood vessel. poor guy had to wear an eyepatch for a week, we called him the one-eyed bandit just for eating some shrimp, but on a real note, im not asking for reimbursement, they seriously gotta have an inspector get that place checked out, a food inspector or something, most of our friend group were minors, luckily nothing happened to them but if something would've, the place wouldn't be open right now. but it would've been much better if that restaurant was closed that night. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place hands down has to be the worst restaurant I have ever visited. We walked into an extremely loud kareoke contest for a small restaurant where the speakers seemed ready to blow. We asked if it could be turned down a little but were told no. Being that I have a head injury and really wanted seafood I put in ear plugs to help minimize the sound. We then ordered a variety of different dishes and although the presentation was good the flavor was lacking. The rice tasted like water, the campechana tasted like chicken stock and was half onion and the ceviche was bland. When we asked the owner Fernando if he could possibly discount some of the dinner since the majority of us didn't eat the food he became agitated and defensive, he then accused us of coming in for "a free meal" He told us that he didn't have discounts and that we either pay or leave. After trying to explain that it was not that we didn't want to pay the bill but didn't find it fair that we had to pay for food we didn't eat he got aggressive amd frustrated and refused to work with us. Being that my sister is pregnant we thought it would be safer to leave and not further escalate the situation as he was obviously offended. Instead of walking out without paying like he suggested we paid our bill and told him we were just going to share our experience. We have no issues with our server, Silvia, she was very nice. It's an unfortunate situation, but I definitely can't emphasize enough. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

Mojarra was decent. The shrimp cocktail had no stand out flavor. The camarones diabla was no good because the shrimp were old and mushy. They have a bar but for beer only. Finally it was too expensive. For the three food items above to go was $65. Plus while waiting the music was too loud and some kid that worked there kept doing Karaoke and can't sing to save his life. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Always excited to give some love to a new place that deserves it. Came out looking for some delicious mariscos, and they provided that. Seems like a family run establishment, they were kind and attentive without being overbearing. They have pride in their space and it shows. It's comfortable and clean, with some really dope paintings on the walls. But what is a restaurant without good food? While I'm sorry for whatever the experience was with the chicken wings in another review, they know their mariscos! Got the ceviche, the campechana and the elote. Beautifully done, with nice amounts and quality of seafood, really nice balances of citrus, tomatoes and other flavors. The elote was delicious if they were a bit heavy with the sauce. And the cost was totally reasonable for the amount of food. Usually either my pocket book or my belly leaves feeling a little left out, they unexpectedly hit the sweet spot. Only two points on the kinda negative: 1) They state restaurant and bar, and we came in dying to mix some beer or margaritas with the food. No go with the liquor license yet, but soon... 2) They have had some bumping music outside, with these twinkling lights all in the windows; now while I think the owners want to attract attention, the loudness of the music actually worked on the first time to detract me from coming in because it seemed like it might be a little too lit. That wasn't the case, the inside had just the right amount of vibe. Maybe turn it down outside just a notch... All-in-all, an unexpectedly great experience. I wish them well. First time here, just stopped while in town for some errands. Delicious food! My boyfriend said they were the best fish tacos he's had at a restaurant! Little bit of a language barrier since neither of us speak Spanish but the staff was super nice and friendly. 100% recommend this place for dinner on a weekend or date night. read more

I was very pleased with my experience in this restaurant. First of, I was very impressed with the service of the young lady (her name is , Marilett, I think). She was attentive and pleasant. I ordered two tacos, the fish and the chicken. It has a delicious sauce on its top, just enough, not too wet. It's tortilla is toasted which gave it a good crunch. My husband ordered fried, whole tilapia with fried garlic on top. Very fresh and satisfying! It came with lightly oiled white rice, refried beans and fresh green / avocado salad. Although this restaurant is not fancy, it was clean (including the restroom). I hope the owners will maintain the quality of their business. I will dine in this restaurant again. read more
