One of my favorite dishes is a really well made caprese salad; here they offer a perfectly marinate/blended Portabello/Caprese on Sourdough!!!! Also try the grilled Salmon Sandwich on brioche!! Love the vibe of this place. Had the chillest atmosphere for a friday night in woodland. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our waiter kept our glasses full the entire time my friends and I were there. The food was delicious. We ordered the fried ravioli to share around the table and we finished it before I could take a picture. The mains had too good flavor and not over powering. I ordered the tri tip dip and it was delicious. The bread was fluffy, soft and perfectly toasted. The tri tip was soft, flavorful and falling apart. The fries were fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. E erything was perfectly seasoned. The maybe disappointing dish I tried was their house made Andes mint ice cream. It was all mint and no chocolate flavor. It reminded me and my friends of mint toothpaste. The taste of mintiness after brushing ones teeth. Friendly service as soon as you walk into Morgan's on Main! I came here with my family of four and the kids menu and regular menu did not disappoint. While only 3 options for kids, the buttered noodles were a hit! The kids burger with fries was also a hit with our older son. Hubby and I shared the tomato bruschetta. The bread was toasted with melted cheese (new for me when it comes to bruschetta) but the flavors blended so well with the balsamic reduction and heirloom tomatoes. The happy hour menu is also a little small, but we enjoyed the draft beers that were available. I ordered the penne alla vodka with grilled chicken, and it was a generous portion and very good! This place has everything a bar, pool tables, booth seating, outdoor seating with misters and to top it off great tasting food. The fall of the bone ribs are great just spicy! We visited Morgan's On Main on 3/21/26 with family after celebrating our wedding at a local church and had a wonderful time. I don't know why it has taken me so long to visit this restaurant for dinner when it's easy walking distance from my home. I appreciate the high booths for privacy and we were pleasantly greeted and seated as a party of 5. Our server was very welcoming, kind and attentive. We started out with the pecan encrusted brie and bruschetta for appetizers. Absolutely wonderul! Beautiful presentation and a wonderful combination of flavors. I will definitely be returning to have this again. Meals were great. I ordered the brady flank steak and other folks within the party ordered chicken rigatoni and the prawns dish. Solid 5 stars! Food was amazing. We ordered pasta, Asian salad and prosciutto with asparagus. All were tasty. Between the garlic prawns and bolognese, I'd definitely go with the bolognese. Came on a Tuesday night during holiday season. Got seated quickly. Interior was dimly lit but very cozy with cute holiday decor. 4/5 bruschetta was tasty! Got the cheese on the side as our friend was vegan and they were generous with the mozzarella. Cheese had an awesome smoky flavor. 3/5 ahi poke nachos. Could've been heavier on the poke and less on the sauce. Chips were light and flaky but I'd prob pass on this next time. 4.5/5 14oz CAB ribeye and garlic smashed potatoes were DELICIOUS! I swapped out the asparagus for balsamic mushrooms which were different but tasty. 3/5 butterscotch crème brûlée. I had high hopes for this! Sadly the sugar layer had a bitter burnt after taste and the strawberries weren't sweet. Bummed. 5/5 service. I wish I caught the servers name but she was absolutely phenomenal. It's so wonderful to get good service these days and she took great care of us. This is usually my go to in Woodland for steak dinners & tonight was no exception. Morgan's on Main is my favorite restaurant in Woodland, California. We live in Reno and visit Aunt Pauline about every six weeks. Last weekend we enjoyed dinner and drinks at Morgan's on Main. As always, Ambience was perfect, beautiful booth, great looking bar and friendly staff. Kindle our server was fun, friendly and treated us like old friends. She remembered what wine, a great Cabernet Sauvignon, I had the last time we were here. Cindy, my girlfriend had a perfect Vodka and Cranberry drink. For dinner we enjoyed the 'fall off the bone ribs.' Dinner was Delightful. After dinner, Kindle suggested a Sunday that we shared, which was also delicious. I wish I took a before picture because the presentation was great. The taste of the salad though was not. I was expecting the chicken temperature to be made hot but its prepared cold. The salad dressing had a weird aftertaste to it also was kind of spicy which did not say on the menu. Service though was good. Server was friendly. I left that whole salad and did not take it to go. WOW FACTOR? Lovely restaurant and good service. HAVE AGAIN: Fries were very good. The lunch half salad + fries + soda for $17 was an attractive offer and the size of the salad was just right. Too late was the half burger lunch special for the same price, which I would have preferred (a half pound burger is just too big). NOT HAVE AGAIN: However, the Cali Cobb salad was just OK, mainly because it was just Romaine lettuce and, though it had blue cheese crumbles, it did not have blue cheese dressing. Also, I like my cobb salad mixed, which makes it more attractive than having each ingredient separately on the plate. read more

I've been to Morgan's on Main on several occasions for department lunches. Personally, it wouldn't have been my first choice. While the location is gorgeous right on Main Street, the food and service have been lackluster. In the past I've had their cheeseburger, tri-tip dip and Cobb salad. My group has shared fried raviolis and baked brie appetizers. The menu selections are pretty limited and really expensive. The Cobb salad was $13.50 and an additional $6 for chicken. When it arrived, it was a lunch sized salad for $19.50. While it was good, it didn't feel like it was a $20 salad. Service has been unimpressive. During our last visit, our server didn't tell us about the lunch specials and we didn't know until we saw another server walk by with it. When we asked, he said that was their lunch special. Had we known, we would have ordered it. When we asked our server why she didn't tell us about, she just gave an insincere apology and served our appetizer. If it was up to me, I would choose another local establishment for our next group outing. Lucky for Morgan's my coworkers like them enough to return. read more

Happy New Years! First review of the year for my last meal of 2024. A tad late but. Nonetheless! : Yet another place with interesting music, a common factor I am noticing as I peruse the food world. I did not expect to be listening to 34+35 in this restaurant with my grandparents, but no one else noticed besides me and my sister. Amen. We arrived, ordered water with no ice in a very complicated manner (apologies to our server) and quickly decided what we would get for dinner! We started off with the calamari steak strips, which were so soft and yummy. I am a sucker for seafood! I chose the Steak and salad entree and my god. The steak was bomb. It was deliciously juicy and the lemon dressing on the salad complimented the steak so well. I am just meant to be a carnivore! Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal as well. The staff were all very friendly and dressed up for the holiday. We love supporting our small town businesses! Morgan's Mill is my favorite spot in town, so I knew this one would be pretty good too. This is a very good restaurant! We were in Woodland for a quick business trip from SoCal. My husband was craving for a good steak and what he got was a huge piece of rib eye, flavored and cooked perfectly with roasted asparagus on the side. I ordered the salmon, delicious and beautifully presented. We quit drinking alcohol so trying the mocktails were perfect with the meals. We both had a cup of cream of mushroom soup, definitely made by scratch and my husband kept raving of the mushroom aroma from the soup. My husband ended with homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream which he said was onolicious! Our server Leslie was very friendly and did a great job. We had high hopes for this restaurant, but were disappointed with the menu. Ambiance was nice. Lots of comfortable booths. Made reservations same day and were seated right away (party of 5). One of the cocktails ordered had to be returned to be remade. It was way too sweet for a gold margarita. We ordered- Two Tri Tip Dip sandwiches. Both enjoyed it. One C.A.B. 14oz Ribeye Steak dinner (cooked perfectly). One Fall of the bone Ribs dinner served with mashed potatoes. The Rib dinner was too spicy so switched a friend for a French dip sandwich. One Bourbon Street Prawns (bland no flavor, not enough sauce on noodles). Unfortunately 2 of the 5 ended up with horrible stomach issues by midnight. (Ate the ribs and one of the sandwiches). We were all attending an event in the area for 2 more days. No more eating out after that night. We attend paid events every couple months in Woodland. Apple turnover was boring no flavor. Two different Creme Brûlées were enjoyed. Sadly we won't be returning. We'll stick with our favorites. read more

Apparently they don't actually serve food until closing on Friday or Saturday. Showed up at 9pm (they close at 10pm) to be told they stopped serving food and only had drinks available. Waitress was super sweet; unfortunately, 1 order was wrong and had to be sent back, which already came out significantly later than 2 other meals and the 4th meal (which was a salad) came out so late that the other 3 people were already almost done eating. Food was average, at best. Waitress was kind & apologetic, but even our drinks sat unfilled. I was very disappointed as I'd heard so many good things about the restaurant from friends. This is an update from my last review a 7 years ago. Things have changed - again. It is very inconvenient to walk into the restaurant to get a seat. They tell us to go next door to sign in. When we ask for a booth, they take us back to where we first went in (What's up with that?) After being seated, a server brings the menus and takes our drink orders. There is a little bit of a wait (Almost 10 minutes) to get our drinks. Only 2 drinks arrived, so I had to ask twice to get my iced tea, when it arrived, there were only 6 small ice cubes in it, I had to ask for a glass of ice. Service is very very slow. Another 15 minutes passes before they come to take our order. While waiting for our food, we run out of drinks, none of the staff checked on us so we had to flag someone down. New drinks were ordered, and they forgot my tea again! After 30 minutes our food arrived (This time we ordered (2) - Wed. night burger special and (1) - Tritip). I ordered my burger medium rare (Supposed to be pink inside) - it came well done, and I was not about to wait 30 more minutes for a replacement burger, so I ate this over-cooked tasteless meat. When we ordered, we asked if fries came with the $17.50 burger and the server said yes. After 15 minutes from ordering, the server came back and said "Sorry, fries do not come with the burger" So we had to spend $2.50 each (x3) for fries. The fries came cold because they sat at the window too long, so I asked for them to be taken back, and I want fresh cooked, hot fries. They came 5 minutes later. Now for the food flavor and quality: 2 of the burgers ordered (Wed. special) were to have brie cheese, bacon jamb, and bacon. The bacon was burnt (Black) and had no flavor left to it. The Brie cheese was about the size of 1/8 teaspoon, and we could not taste it. If there was bacon jamb on the burger, we could not see it or taste it. After dinner, which took 90 minutes from time of sitting down, and to eat our meals, we ordered 1 dessert item. It took 25 minutes to arrive (Peach tart and a scoop of ice cream). Overall, we were very disappointed in the flavor and quality of the food. When it was time to leave, we were given the wrong tab. We gave the server our payment, when she brought the receipt back, I noticed it was about $40 too high, so I looked at it again, she said ooops I charged you for some other table. She took it back, and 10 minutes later she came back with the correct tab. I will say that all of the staff that we had were all great workers. They were friendly, pleasant, and nice. This was the best part of the evening. Overall, from the time we sat down, until we walked out was 2.25 hours! This place works very slow. It will be a long time before I go back. For a good and better burger, go across the street to the Burger Saloon. They have faster service and better quality and flavor of food. read more

I dined at Morgan's for a pharmaceutical event. We were seated in a private room. The food was delicious. The drink was mixed perfectly with whisky and pineapple. The NY was prepared to a perfect temperature of medium rare. I enjoyed the jalapeño and spinach dip as well. It was nicely spiced. My only complaint was that it took a really long time for the drinks, food, and dessert to be served. I opted to take my dessert home since it was a long wait. The speaker for the event completed his presentation prior to the food being served. Overall, I had a pleasant dinning experience as the quality of the food was worth the wait. read more

We often pop into Morgan's for date night or happy hour, tonight I enjoyed my bday dinner and everything was delicious! I started with an old fashioned, a perfect way to start things off and the best birthday drink! Then we shared the Crab tots which were like little crab cake tater tots, they had a delicious sauce with just the right amount of heat. For dinner we shared the brandy flank steak, it came with lots of sautéed mushrooms, yummy mashed taters and the meat was really tender and flavorful. We had the pleasure of dining at Morgan's today for an early dinner and had our dog with us. The quality of food and the service level were outstanding. Our server, Janelle, was amazing and attentive to us and our dog who dined on a freshly cooked patty. The patio outdoor area is a breath of fresh air and they have misters! Who else does that? After a long day with 85+ degree weather at the dog show, we were greeted with fabulous martinis and a heirloom tomato salad with pesto and balsamic. The main entree of garden salad with a small steak was great! I would be inclined to try the ribeye or salmon next time. The service was truly exquisite! read more

We've been to Morgan's roughly 4 times in the last 5 mths. Usually we sit at the bar, (the one bar-waitress is super friendly and attentive). or we sit in 'The Bar' area. It's always been too loud for our preference-though the food has been good. This last visit we thought we'd try sitting out in the back patio since the weather was so nice. Our waitress was very nice, but we waited for what seemed much longer than normal for our simple order. We did have a couple staff check on us to make sure we didn't need drink refills during that time. The meat in the tri-tip dip was very dry. The dry bun didn't help any-luckily the wait staff brought another dish of au jus. I ordered the Thai salmon sandwich in a lettuce wrap/no bun. The menu states 'Asian carrot slaw' and sweet chili sauce- I'm thinking perhaps since I had a lettuce wrap, they didn't want to do too much slaw? there was practically none - the salmon; however, was good, and the fries were hot. Just not a very exciting meal. . We'll try again-some time. read more

It's time for an update, All we wanted was a decent glass of wine and a delicious steak.... that's all... The ribeye cut was a great cut and wherever that beef came from deserves a shout out. So this is what you get $44 = a 7 ounce ribeye prepared to your perfection of steak with a baked potato and 4 asparagus spears. A demi glaze is served in a little container, just in case you choose to ear your eat naked. It turns out the demi glaze was a bit too bland for my taste so I asked for the A1 Steak Sauce. Ordered my preparation of steak to be medium rare. (and those who know me will attest that when ordered medium rare, it best be served medium rare) Well, 50% of my steak came in perfection of medium rare; the rest of the 40% was rare.... I need not say anymore on this point. $2= for a piece of cheese bread... okay, it was okay.... Why 4 stars? I mentioned to my server (I think her name was Joslyn) the steak was underdone and I got two things. 1) they normally prepare it a step down as it will cook even off the flame and 2) ok- I can give you a courtesy discount of $11 and 3) "I hope you come back again to visit us...," So, in short the 4th star belongs to Joslyn. Hey, I think Morgan's is the only place in the Woodland to stop at IF you want steak! The ambiance and atmosphere is so very laid back; you cant get upset with things as kindness and courtesy is in the air.
