What a hidden gem. Don't be fooled, this shop is not located in Santee alley but off the street so it is easy to find. New items are stocked weekly and their esthetic is upscale trendy. Unique items at a fair even dare to say inexpensive pricepoint. Employees are helpful and attentive without being pushy and the vibe of the store is welcoming. I loved that they were flexible and allowed me to exchange sizes that were purchased without trying on -- many stores do not allow this downtown. I'm pretty terrible about remembering to yelp my favorite shops but this one is just too good to not! Been a loyal Chikas fan for a few years now and am always impressed with how much the cuteness of the clothes matches their high quality. I hate having to discard a cute outfit after just a couple of washes, but haven't had this issue with anything I buy from Chikas. Definitely worth the price! They also are famous for those outfits that look so much better on you than on the hanger -- I love when that happens! Honestly, the best of DTLA -- and even LA for that matter -- fashion!! I was shopping in DTLA with my cousin and she insisted we make a stop at Chikas because she is a regular there. I relented because I was tired but her insisting wore me down and I finally agreed. I'm so glad that I did! The selection is so much better than some of the other stores I've gone to in the fashion district. I bought a blouse and I'm not kidding I receive at least a couple compliments every time I wear it. The only downside is that we weren't able to find parking right in the front of the store but I guess that's downtown for you. Will definitely be back! read more

Love the style selection here. A little pricey for a downtown LA shop. It's mostly mall prices but definitely geared toward newest boho chic trends. Sizes are best found on Fridays when they receive shipments. Tip: TRY IT ON! before purchase they're sizes vary, not very consistent. Some styles I bought a small, medium and large so it depends what body type the outfit was made for to best choose your size. I don't know details on return policy. Haven't needed to return anything yet. I go into Chikas with one thing in mind from their Instagram account and end up leaving with about 5-6 other great pieces! I find gorgeous dresses and jumpsuits for nights out and super cute dresses, skirts, sweaters and tops for everyday! And there are the accessories, fantastic belts. The owner is reasonable with his prices, I always feels like I can afford all of the things I love, which feels so good. So someone how I totally for my sisters birthday, what a major mistake. I told her I'll make it up to her and take her to the mall let pick out some stuff from her favorite stores. She said screw the mall (what a surprise) right? Which girl doesn't like the mall. She's the biggest mall rat west of the Mississippi. She said she wanted to check out this one store I. Downtown she found on Instagram called CHIKAS. My prayers were answered, you know I wouldn't want to be dragged around some stinking mall for hours. We ended up here at CHIKAS the store she's been raving how cute their clothes are. Did she hit the jackpot or what? I ended spending waaaaaaay less I would have spent at the mall and she ended up with a bunch a girly girl clothes from tops jackets and a few sundresses. Super great prices and the staff was awesome. I found this store in instagram and it was worth drive. In thw same area as ahe ahopping diatrict so you can get ao much ahopoing done in one block. I bought three blouses and a dress for work.
