The owner provides both salsa as well as crema for the tamales, which were nice accompaniments. There was lots of seating around the food truck, a couple of coolers with drinks, and a salsa bar. The food for me is a solid 3/5. I wasn't impressed by their hot cheeto elote or menudo. The elote was dry, brittle and lacked the creaminess you get from local street vendors. As for the menudo, they left out the tripe that was advertised in their display and there was only about 3 pieces of tiny meat floating in the broth, it wasn't hearty at all, the best part was the caldo and the handmade tortillas it came with. Overall it was warm and did the job on a cold night, but left a lot to be desired. I may have just ordered wrong because it seems like people come here for the baked potato so next time I'd like to give this food truck a second shot and try that. Also, we ordered a quesadilla, it was tasty and a decent size for everybody to share. It wasn't the best but not bad! The strawberry horchata was also good, it was refreshing and you can really taste the cinnamon and strawberries. Service was really great, they did shine in that area, after letting them know the elote was dry, they offered to top it off with more toppings. It didn't really make a difference but at least they offered. I know I shouldn't expect a 5 star experience from a food truck but this day in age there are some really boujee trucks out there. I'd skip what I ordered this time, but will update this review if I go back to try the baked potato.
