The best tamales of my life!!! Located at a gas station. The food is hot and fresh. Great service. Accepts card. The filling is flavored impeccably and the masa (dough) is so fluffy! It paired perfectly in my mouth. It was a great experience. Would recommend!! Don't be shy to try a bunch. They reheat well if you don't finish. - beef in red sauce was my favorite!! so good. will be getting a bunch of these next time I come. - pork in green sauce was okay - sweet corn was too sweet for me, not a fan.

On my search for San Jose's best tamales - I found Súper Tamales. They did not disappoint definitely a thicc tamale with lots of flavor I ordered a variety Jalapeño & cheese, green/red pork, and green chicken I really thought out of all those flavors the green chile chicken was reallllly good. My family's favorite was the red pork. The service is always very good for setting up so bright and early the gentleman who's always there is so friendly and welcoming. The tamales are big and the meat is proportioned nicely. They do take Apple Pay, credit cards, and cash. I only knock down one star since sometimes the flavor isn't consistent when you choose pork. Otherwise this is a great place to come by and pick up some hearty tamales for the fam.

Saw this stand parked on the corner of a gas station and had to stop- the tamales are HUGE and delicious. Eat it right when you get them and top it with salsa and crema. I got pork tamales and it was the perfect breakfast- $3.50/tamale. Follow @super.tamales on Instagram to see where they are- I think there are three locations. You can buy them to go too!

Such great tamales! I love love love the cheese w/chili one but have tried the beef and the pork as well... and they are all amazing! Always try on on-site in the little paper container. They put crema and a delicious salsa on top for you! And... Not only does the meat have flavor but the maza is so light, flavorful and cooked to perfection! 100% recommended as a must try! They have another start as well, on the corner of San Carlos and Leigh! Flavors include: chicken, pork, beef, cheese w/chili and sweet corn. They also sometimes have a strawberry one too.

    Yummmm

Our go-to tamal spot when in San Jose! Make sure to stop in before noon and grab a variety. We've loved everything we've tried.

Located right off of N Saratoga ave, between hwy280 and Stevens Creek blvd, on the east aide of the street. You will find this gem in the evenings. This place has all the meats that a down foo was raised on, but my go to is always the Al Pastor! Perfectly marinated, huge portions, and even with the pineapple and sautéed onions deliver an amazing plate experience. Now what puts these guys a league above! You get to put your own choice of up to 3 different salsa's. Green and flavorful, orange habanero heat, or spicy red pepper goodness. Ample extras of radish, jalapeño, or onions and habanero slices for the folks who just have guts of steel. This place has such a following, there have been times when I was 10 people deep waiting in line to order. They are quick, yet always tasty. Give your tastebuds a treat!

(Roughly under $4 per taco, I had a slightly lower price at night) Tacos Santiaguito is conveniently located in a huge parking lot off Saratoga Ave and Stevens Creek Blvd. During the day around noon, there's a different truck parked here that I personally prefer. I first stopped by a few weeks ago and ordered the cabeza, lengua, and tripa. The lengua was tough, the cabeza was decent, and the tripa was bland. I went home ready to type up a review, but after reading that they're better known for their al pastor, asada, and campechanos, I decided to hold off and give them the benefit of the doubt with a second visit. Stopped by again tonight, and unfortunately, they're consistently average at best. The workers looked like they didn't really want to be there on either visit, they're pretty skimpy with a strict two-sauce-cup maximum, and none of the meats really stood out. Out of the six tacos I've tried here, the cabeza and al pastor were the best. However, the bar is pretty low. It's a textbook 3/5, wouldn't make a special trip out.

They have interesting dishes with paneer and chicken as well. We ordered two dishes- Leela lasun keema - This dish was intriguing, with cheese, grated egg, and a rich, spicy gravy. The portion size was generous; a single person won't be able to finish it with just three breads. It was very filling, we took back home the leftover and enjoyed it later with some rotis. They have another version of this- "kachu" with runny eggs instead of grated eggs.. well thought option! Volcano egg biryani- The dish is as interesting as its name suggests. The base is an omelette, and the rice is flavorful with bell peppers, finely chopped veggies, and aromatic spices. The center is with a tomato-based curry. The cheese on the side was amazing, and I loved it. The spicy guava drink is super refreshing with a playful mix of spice, salt, sourness, and the sweetness of guava. I really enjoyed it! They have music playing and the place is lit, creating a total vibe for spending time in the evening on a lazy weekend/ after work, or post-workout. The food is pure indulgence and covered our protein requirements with eggs, along with some fat to burn off. Kinda guilt free. Also, they have games, garba events and other many interesting things going on at different times. Superb vibes, never disappoints! Conveniently located in Sunnyvale - easy to find parking. Ask the owners for their recommendations based on your preferences. The spice level was pretty high so if you can't handle spice, something to communicate to them while placing the order. The vada pav was fresh and tasty. It came with tamarind and green chutney. We liked the chaats so much that we also got the samosa chaat. The portion size was good and it was packed with flavor. Lastly, we got poha.
