    Side of their truck

This is some legit and hearty birria. We loved how generous they were with the fillings where both the tacos and ramen were loaded with tender meat and other toppings. The consomme on the side was deep and flavorful with the right amount of fat to coat the tacos well. Great amount of melted cheese in the tacos too. Definitely recommend if you ever run into this truck in your area!

I've seen TaKoz Mod Mex a few times and really didn't think anything of it. Let's be real, there is no shortage of trucks dishing out the same kind of foods. Thanks to my daughter's school event, I was able to give them a try. The menu has all the items you would typically expect: quesadillas, tacos, burritos, & nachos [but made with fries]. Purchases: *Mexican Soda [Jarritos- which flavors sold out quite quickly] *Quezadilla w/ Carne Asada *3 Takoz Your Choice- beef, chicken, pork Food was good. Meats were seasoned very well, meats were not overcooked/dry, and portions were absolutely generous. Cost is kind of on the higher end but you are not being served food packed with cheap fillers. As a fair warning, once you start to eat it becomes very hard to stop. 5/5 stars. The lines were long but for good reason. I'd easily eat here again. The Nacho Libre Fries looked soooo good- I might have to try that next time.

These guys were outside of Pour Decisions today so we grabbed a bite. The line was short which was nice so our order was ready in under 15 minutes. Here's what we got: PIZZADILLA - this was smaller than I thought but ended up being large enough to feed the 3 of us who weren't starving. The meat was super tender and the tortilla was crisp and yummy. I wished there was a little more heat and a bit more tang to cut the richness of the meat and cheese. The fresh lime squeeze was nice. It was also pretty greasy but that added to the flavor. BIRRA FRIES - These weren't my favorite. Kinda one note IMO but cooked well. Would have liked more gooey cheese and again, something to brighten it up a bit. Maybe a lime cilantro crème or something and more of the mango salsa. It was just a lot of fries under the meat. Overall the service was great and quick for being made fresh to order. It would have been nice to have had paper plates and lots more napkins because there is no real way to share without making a mess. I also would have liked more salsa but it sounded like they were running low so no extras were available. This would be outstanding bar grub so maybe next time I'll try it with a beer!

Melita with chipotle Sriracha sauce on the side

First time trying this food truck. Also first time trying the Melita which is braised beef with cheese stuffed between 2 toasty crispy tortillas. It's like gourmet quesadilla. Really good seasoning on the braised beef. It had the flavor of roasted chilis and maybe cumin. The beef looked fibrous but so soft and not dry at all. The tortilla's crispiness was the perfect compliment to the saucy beef. The tortillas had some charred spots which added another layer of flavor with slight bitterness and grilled smokiness. Lots of cheese which helped balance the savory taste of the meat. A very slight spicy kick from the meat. If you prefer it more spicy, you can drizzle the chipotle Sriracha sauce that it came with. Price was $8, so reasonably priced. It was filling and make the taste buds happy and satisfied. Didn't wait long for the food. The staff who took the order was nice. Will definitely try the other items on the menu next time.

Love the birria tacos! There was A TON of meat in them, and definitely filling for my husband and me. Comes with limes and radishes plus lots of cilantro and two salsas. We liked the creamier of the two. The tacos are red corn and pleasantly crunchy...check out Strike Brewing's food truck lineup to plan your visit around this place :)

Yummy yummy Birria tacos. Order of 3 for 11$. Plenty of meat, slightly crunchy tortillas, onions and cilantro. Comes with 2 different sauces/salsa. Flavors were on point and I just wanted to keep eating them. They also have a Keto option made of cheese which I didn't get to try - but I will next time. My coworker said they were so good she devoured them. You definitely want to try these tacos.

    Birria Ramen! so bomb!
    Jerry Y.

Pros: - Food is amazing! The Ramen, the tacos, and the fries... so amazing! The tacos was the highlight for me with the amount of meet and the hard shell. So good! - Price is very fair and not outrageous like most food trucks - Friendly service - They give you 4 different salsas and generous amounts of food that comes out quick. Cons: - Got the food at Clandestine! So it was great to be near a brewery to drink and eat their food. However, could be hard to find if you don't catch them at the right place - Mainly have Beef- Would be great if they can expand to chicken or pork (carnitas or al pastor would be awesome!) Overall - Place is awesome and would definitely order from them given the opportunity!

Wow their fries and tacos were really good. Fries were $10 and 3 tacos for $10. The fries had a spicy kick which I loved. Great customer service and staff were really nice.

I came here with friends on a Saturday Night, we got 2 burritos and fries. The birria burrito was delicious although it was a bit too oily and the fries were good. Everything was reasonably priced and I can definitely see myself going again!

Had a free Saturday and saw that they are where strike brewing is at and figured it would be a great day for birria and beer. I got tacos, a burrito, the fries, and birria ramen. Fries I dropped off to a friend but she said they were bomb! The Birria ramen and a few tacos was for my roommate who never had birria before and he loved it as well. The burrito was huge! And I have to say one of the best things about this place is their salsas! Just got their pizzadilla today and it was delicious. I think their price range for their food is really good.

These days birria tacos are all the hype and with many places selling them it can be a little overwhelming. To make it easy for you, the birria tacos from Takoz Mod Mex are where you should get your birria from. The tortillas were crispy, the meat was tender, and the consomme was sooo flavorful. I didn't try the quesabirria because I wanted something a little bit lighter but I still felt like I wasnt missing out. These were delicious.

Final Thoughts: 4.33/5…read more They were our caterer for a work party. This is a food truck and they seem to have everything ready to be served to us. Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

It was pretty calm during the day and didn't seem to get a crazy amount of foot traffic, which I actually enjoyed because we were able to sit down, relax, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere without it feeling crowded. Between our food and drinks we spent around $46, so I would say it's moderately pricey, but everything we had was good. I had a birria taco from Mi Lindo Apatzingán, my husband got four tacos, and we also got rice and beans that we really enjoyed. Our food came out pretty quickly, definitely in less than 10 minutes. We also got sour apple drinks from Las Cherry's. The drinks took a little longer, over 10 minutes, but there was only one girl working at the time, so it was completely understandable. The drinks were refreshing and I definitely want to come back and try more of what Las Cherry's has to offer. I really like the whole concept here because there are so many different food trucks in one place. There's plenty of covered outdoor seating, TVs to watch while you eat, and colorful decorations that make it a fun but still calm and chill place to hang out. Even with some of the trucks being closed, there were still plenty of options. I would definitely come back, especially to try more from Las Cherry's and the potato food truck that caught my eye!

I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. It is a little pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries, but when you see the size and quality of what you're getting, I think it's worth it. Scratch is easily one of my favorite hot chicken spots.

It's actually nice they they're not as sauce heavy as other pizza spots (I can't actually partake in tomato anymore, so the fact they had options for me was neat too). We settled on the Chorizo for a more cheese-heavy and tomato free experience. Toppings were very fresh and the bottom/crust had a nice airy crispiness that made it worth eating to the last bite.
