Honestly every bite across the nigiri and small plates earns its place. The fish is clean and fresh in that way where it just melts. And the drinks hold their own, not an afterthought. The room was quiet when we went, but the warmth was immediate. It was just one chef and our server who knew the menu like a friend's kitchen, so the whole thing felt somewhere between neighborhood gem and special occasion. Kin Nori may be my new favorite sushi spot in Denver, edging out some heavy competition. If you've been sleeping on Tennyson Street for sushi, wake up.

That said, it's…read moredefinitely not a sushi restaurant that I would recommend to many primarily because of the price point and value, especially when compared to places like Temaki Den. The quality of the fish is good for sure, but the price is far too expensive, especially when compared to Temaki Den, which both has more options and better quality for lower price. While I understand other good reviews Kin Nori Bar receive, it's just not a place I would return to or recommend simply because it's too expensive for what you get. Taking price out of the consideration, I would give Kin Nori 4/5. However, considering the price, the competition, and the limited options, unfortunately, I can only give a 3/5.

5 star food and service at Mizu Izakaya! Our experience made for a perfect, fun Friday Date night…read more I came for the crispy spicy tuna and it was easily the best I've had. We also really enjoyed the chili wontons, pork belly skewers, and Kobe beef buns - all were super high quality and packed with flavor. We didn't care for the cucumber salad - the large chunks just didn't take on any flavor and felt like eating plain cucumber. The ambiance is very high energy and can be loud (there's a live DJ), but we had a wonderful experience on the patio.

When I walked in, it felt more like a club than a traditional restaurant. The music was loud, the energy was high, and the crowd was definitely on the younger side. Honestly, I've never really experienced anything quite like it--part restaurant, part nightlife vibe--but it was kind of cool in its own way. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered sushi along with a seaweed salad and an Old Fashioned. The food was actually really good--fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot after the show. That said, if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing dinner, this probably isn't your place. But if you're open to a lively atmosphere and something a little different, it's a fun experience. I enjoyed my food, soaked in the vibe, and left glad I gave it a try.

Our incredible Alex was somehow able to keep up with us and all his other tables. I usually stay away from chain Japanese/Korean BBQ spots because of price and quality, but my parents wanted to come here, and it was delicious! We got a beer tower to start and kept the food dishes flowing. They have quite a large menu with various tiers. Lunch is the best deal, and we got here right when they opened to avoid crowds. Parking can be a challenge, being in Downtown Denver, but I'd definitely come back for another AYCE experience with friends! Or the next time my family is in town again.

The service and atmosphere felt comparable to a visit I had at one of their NYC locations. I was specifically there for the A5 Wagyu Kalbi Short Rib slices. At $59, this is likely best shared and supplemented with other cuts. Since it was a special occasion, I ordered one plate, then decided on a second since I was still hungry. There was a noticeable delay, and when it arrived, I was told it is usually limited to one per party, but they made an exception that night. I appreciated that, though I probably would have been fine stopping after the first plate. I paired it with rice and salt-seasoned edamame. I was slightly disappointed that my birthday was not acknowledged despite noting it in my online reservation, especially since another table received a birthday song. Overall, still a good meal and a fun splurge.

Waters and menus, including the happy hour menu, appeared shortly after we were seated. We didn't order everything on the menu, but by the end of the meal it certainly felt like we had! As the food started arriving, the restaurant quickly filled up. By 5 p.m., there was already a line at the door, and soon after, out the door. After sampling most of the dishes we ordered, the reasons seemed obvious. The food was nicely executed, very tasty, and quite reasonably priced, especially the happy hour offerings. Standouts included the Rainbow Roll, Red Dragon Roll, Gyoza, Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Yaki Soba, and cucumber salad. That said, we ended up enjoying just about everything that came to the table, and we'd happily reorder all of it again. Service was friendly and efficient despite the rapidly growing crowd, and dishes arrived at a steady pace throughout the meal. For a party this size, the kitchen handled timing impressively well.
