However, in the last year, this place has completely turned around. The new Brewer is fantastic and is making some very well- crafted and tasty beers on their system here. Honestly, I don't think I've found one that is in a style that I prefer, that I don't care for. And there are some real gems on the menu. Lately I've been enjoying the sweet toffee notes on the Oogie boogie and I highly recommend it. I also come here pretty consistently for fun trivia and might come here for other events down the road. I like the staff, I like the owners, and I love the Brewer.

The broth was deep and aromatic and the portion size, especially with the beef rib, was massive. Everything was so impressive that since that visit, this place has been on my regular rotation for pho. Beside Pho, they have a few other offerings, one of which is rather unique. For the more adventurous, Faifo offers a spicy beef pho. This is a dry-style pho serves with all the fixin' and a spicy sate style sauce that makes for an amazing meal on a hot day. It also comes with a bowl of pho broth for satisfying sips between bites. This is easily one of my favorite dish on the menu and a must try here. Beside that, I've also had their Bun Bo Hue, which is pretty dang tasty. The broth is very tasty, though not as funky or spicy as ones I've had in Vietnam. Nonetheless, it's a mighty tasty bowl and something to get for the colder days here in Denver. Both the Bo Kho and the Banh Canh are also very good as well, though not a must compared to other dishes on the menu. Overall, Faifo is a great Vietnamese restaurant. The value is also tremendous given the portion size. This is an easy 4/5 for me.

It's a bowl of distinct and complex flavor profile that balances savory, sweet, spicy notes, with a vibrant brick-red color from the annatto seeds. The cuts of beef shank, flank, and chuck were soft so you know they spent hours simmering to achieve this level of tenderness. The deep beef profile is highlighted when adding bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime juice to cut through the richness and carrots provided a natural sweetness to the savory broth. Bánh canh is a Vietnamese noodle soup featuring thick, chewy noodles made from tapioca flour, rice flour, or a mix, served in a flavorful broth with various toppings like pork, shrimp, crab, or fish cake. The broth is clean from the hours of simmering bones to create a savory, collagen-rich base. You can taste the freshness of the soup garnished with fresh cilantro, green onions, fried shallots, lime, and chili oil. Plus you get a boat load of proteins and garnishes - shrimp cake, imitation crab meat, shrimp, quail egg, mushroom, tapioca noodle, onion, cilantro and black pepper. It tasted great! Can't tell you what tasted the best because everyone thought something else was the best! Rib meat fell off bone; the baked beans had a flavor all its own; the Mac and cheese was devoured in minutes and even the apple slaw was eaten by everyone. If you like BBQ give this place a go. The brisket we got was some of the driest I have had in many years, and that is with home cooks. Never would I expect this from a BBQ place that is championship level. Brothers has never disappointed me this much. In short, sad. Bread had more moisture than the brisket.

They also offer plenty of gluten-free options, which I appreciate (though I'd love to see non-dairy milk available at no extra charge!). During my visit, I overheard the owner discussing some of the area's better known coffee shops, but honestly, I think White Rabbit compares very favorably. In my experience, it offers the same quality coffee, along with better value and friendlier service. We'll definitely keep coming back.

The staff? super friendly and quick with your order. I didn't order food so can't really comment there. My drink was great though - I typically get a standard vanilla latte cause that's usually my bar for new places. If you mess up a vanilla latte, definitely won't come back. Spaces that are premium around these parts so I'm glad they were able to find a storefront but if they're able to make it work, it'd be great to see them down in the new Westminster downtown area. ;)
