Spicy Miso Ramen with bok choy and corn added

This place is good for happy hour food mon-fri 4:30-6pm. Happy hour includes a little bit of everything! Saki, beer, sushi, hand rolls, appetizers. It's cute inside with friendly service. It's a little non-fussy when it comes to specialty rolls options, but they are presented nicely.

It had been a while since I had been here and can I say. . . I don't know why?! Well they're a little far from where I live but def. worth the drive. Walked in and saw as greeted and sat down quickly. Pretty full on a Thursday evening. Server was kind and quick. Karage Spicy miso ramen Sushi rolls that I can't remember the name of? All 10/10 Though I do wish we had more spicy ramen options as I don't prefer miso. Nonetheless all great. Can't wait to grab some sushi again! For ambiance I will say I enjoy th lighting and music. And would enjoy this place as a solo date as well. So relaxing.

My sister has talked to me a few times about Sakana and always spoke so highly of their food. I used to drive by this place on my way home from work nearly every day and thought each time that I needed to stop by to try it. My first visit happened only recently, and now I wish I would have made the effort to stop in all those times I drove by lol. Sakana is in a small-ish strip mall type area and readily visible from the street. There is a fair amount of parking, as the lot is shared by several businesses, so I didn't have any problems grabbing a spot. For reference, I came in on a Friday night (though it was the day after Thanksgiving) around 6:30. The entrance and dining room have such a welcoming feel and the decorations are super nice; my sister said they must have remodeled recently, and it looked great! We were sat right away and all the staff we interacted with were unbelievably friendly. We started with an order of tofu, and all three of us ended up with different kinds of ramen for dinner. The presentation of everything was great, the broth was delicious, and everything tasted so rich and fresh. Their menu is fairly extensive and has a lot of variety so there are options for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and am looking forward to my next visit(s) and all the different things I am planning to try!

Being in the center of the states, sushi can be pretty meh. However, Sakana was quite delicious. It was quite busy when we got there but found seating quickly. The sushi tasted fresh and it was delicious. The unagi and fatty tuna were tasty. The fried chicken was nicely crisped so it's quite crunchy with each bite. The takoyaki was super flavorful and you can taste a nice blend of the sauce with the batter and the octopus. Just delicious little bite. The ramen was pretty good. It wasn't a standout. My bf recommends the curry ramen next time so if you're looking for a recommendation, I would try that. It's quite spacious and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly. Food comes out quick. Can't complain much.

Service is always good. Food is IMMACULATE, fresh good sized sushi portions for a good price. Ambience is nice, I always enjoy the music they have playing. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area wanting some good quality sushi.

After a long hard week of moving into our new place, we stopped at Sakana. First things first, do not let the exterior fool you - the interior has such a cute, neutral, clean and foresty vibe. It is warm and inviting and even the music that is playing is pleasant. On a Thursday evening we were sat almost immediately and our serve was at the table within minutes taking our food order. Our server was Jared and he was absolutely delightful! He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, anticipated our asks and for the one small mistake that did happen (our daughter's tuna roll had wasabi on it - it comes that way and we didn't know) he was very quick to have it adjusted and so kind. Now onto the food: We ordered: - Pork Gyoza 5/5 - Spicy Miso Ramen 3.5/5 - Spicy Tuna Rolls 3/5 - Crunch Spicy Tuna Roll 4/5 - Tuna Roll 5/5 The Pork Gyoza is just as everyone says, amazingly delicious and cooked to perfection. It had the perfect balance of flavor. The broth of the Spicy Miso Ramen was delicious, we have been searching for a good spicy ramen, and while the broth on this one met our expectations, the other additions (egg and bok choy, pork and noodles) did not retain the flavor well. The spicy tuna was not spicy at all, I almost thought to ask if we had accidentally received the regular tuna. However, it was extremely fresh and still had good flavor. The crunchy spicy tuna had a bit more flavor, not so much spice, but flavorful in its additions. Lastly - the tuna roll, again very fresh, but it served with wasabi if you do not ask for it off - not my cup of tea, but could be excellent for the target audience. For all of this we spent less than $100 including drinks. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would come back for the service alone.

I've been to this place twice now and had really good experiences! I've never had the sushi here, but I love going to this spot for Japanese comfort food. Entrées are $11-$17, so it's a great place to have a nice dinner without breaking the bank. I would recommend coming early since the restaurant is small and tends to fill up quickly. The appetizers are great, most notable are chicken karage, takoyaki, and gyoza. I absolutely love the Ramen here! The broth is flavorful and noodles are never overcooked. You can tell they put a lot of love into their Ramen! The curry beef bowl is rich in flavor and so hearty. To make it more filling, I'd recommend adding a cutlet because it's mostly curry sauce over rice. They offer competitive pricing for drinks as well. You can get sake for $4-$7 and large Japanese beer for $7. They have wine, but I don't believe they serve cocktails here. Overall, a lovely tucked-away spot where food is made with a lot of love!

Delicious food at a super affordable price! It's a small space so there might be a wait for a table but it is well worth it. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful and the food came out quickly. The sushi was fresh and simple, which is the way good sushi should be. Don't sleep on visiting Sakana if you're in the Denver area!

The sushi roll, nigiri , and ramen all great tasting. Prices and service is great too

What a find! Came here last night based on Yelp! reviews. This is a true hidden gem and so glad I found it. Inside very quaint, clean and well lit. Staff here is awesome and for sure 5 star! Super friendly , knowledgeable and really made this a 5 star experience. For food I started off with the karaage chicken and while a little different than what I am used to but regardless it was delicious. I had the spicy miso ramen with added chayu, seasoned pork and added egg. Normally most ramen comes with an egg but this is a little $$$ either way this was so delicious! Can't even explain how fresh and amazing is was. What a great experience on a hidden gem located in a non obscure strip mall in the corner but it was worth every bite. Will for sure be back!

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and we were able to get a table right away. We got the dragon roll California roll and a specialty roll plus Unagi Nigri. Everything was tasty. The service was really good. Prices were OK and restaurant had nice decor. Good sushi if you're nearby but nothing to travel for.

The gentleman working the register, who then cooked our order, and served us Our food was very accommodating. I could tell he appreciated our business and respected My husband-who was at first hesitant to dine there. Uncle Henry's personality and communication changed that and made him feel comfortable and at ease. Thank you, I really appreciate you for that. My Husband enjoyed everything I ordered. The combination fried rice, lo mein, and chicken wings were made to order...hot, fresh, and delicious. It isn't a large restaurant, it's more like a take-out joint, with dining in as an option, we dined in and got to enjoy the warmth present of this family run business. We needed that. They ran out of roasted duck so if you're looking for that recommend not coming in late. Got the double meet dish with char siu pork and roasted pork belly. Tasted good, but pretty fatty for both. Not sure if they already used up the good parts of the meat and that's what they had leftover, but this is what's keeping them from being a 5. Otherwise it tasted good, I could see the potential. The stir fried beef noodles is as classic as it gets. No notes , adding sriracha is a personal touch for me and it tasted familiar. Otherwise, open to trying it again if their meat isn't as fatty.
