A pretty good chicken box and fried seafood spot on this side of town. When I visited the business had recently changed ownership. If you've tried to visit this place recently and experienced closure, give them another try as the old owner had to sell because of a legitimate personal matter that made it difficult to keep the restaurant open and honor posted hours of operation. In the last days of the old ownership I visited multiple times and they were unexpectedly closed. The new ownership is friendly. The chicken and fried food is about as good as it will get for Baltimore. The style is consistent with many other good chicken box restaurants. There is no dining in, so take-out only. Price: Affordable, There was only 1 staff member when I walked inside and he was really nice. Prior to leaving as I did a pick up order he showed me everything I ordered which was nice since most places just give your food and you leave. There isn't anyway to sit even if I did want to stay inside. I ordered a catfish plate with 2 pieces however I wish I would have seen a reference picture prior to getting the 2 piece because boy was that piece of fish big. Other than that the calamari was fried nicely, not too crunchy or chewing as well as the oysters. The restaurant was nice and clean but for ambiance ... it's a carryout lol. One fish dinner can literally feed 2 people. First visit food was awesome.chicken wings and onion rings. Second visit, yesterday was awful. Cheesesteak sandwich and chicken wings. Wings were not freshly cooked. They were very brown and chewy.I suspect they were cooked previously and reheated to sell yesterday. The cheesesteak sandwich had no cheese, mayo,lettuce or fried onions as requested. The food here is awesome. I ordered through door dash and the food was still hot, and came very well packaged. I ordered the lake trout combo, and a 4 piece wing combo . The wings were very well seasoned "just right" with a perfect crisp. The lake trout was pieces were huge , and the flavor was amazing portion size was enough for 2-3 people. I tried this place a few weeks ago because I've seen a bunch of reviews that show these huge pieces of fish and a pizza box with fries scattered all around the box. I was excited about the idea of getting such a huge portion of food for a decent price, it looked really good. So I went to order takeout for my family and I. My sister was visiting from out of town as it was my niece and we made a pretty large order. We needed a larger order because we were feeding six people. So we ordered three chicken boxes. One small one large one kids, and order fried shrimp and a order of fried whiting. To my surprise, the portions weren't as big as they were in the picture, this may be because I ordered whiting and not the lake trout. I'm not a native Baltimorean, so I don't love lake trout as much as many of my peers do. I tend to order whiting when ordering from a takeout establishment. The food I think was just okay. My wife thinks it was just okay as well. It wasn't bad but just regular. Nothing really stood out as particularly good, nothing was bad but nothing was good. I don't live particularly close to the restaurant so I made a specific trip to make it there so I can experience the food and I'm not sure if I would make the same trip in the future. I will say the staff of the restaurant are truly some of the kindest easy to talk to people I have ever met in a take out establishment. They had casual conversation that seemed like they truly cared about the work that they were doing and the people that they were serving. If I needed to find just one reason to return it would be because of the staff at the restaurant. They were truly amazing. Other than that this is a through and through takeout restaurant. There are no tables to sit. There are few chairs to sit while you wait but it's a small waiting area so I would suggest ordering ahead so that you can just walk in and pick up. read more
