My sister and I hadn't eaten all day, so when we saw the Grand Opening sign for H& Chicken on Reisterstown Road, we decided to give it a try. First impressions were great! There was plenty of parking, and as soon as we walked in, we noticed how clean and inviting the restaurant was. They offer two self-service kiosks for ordering, or you can place your order directly with the cashier. The restroom was clean and well maintained. I ordered the 3-piece fried chicken that came with a biscuit, and my sister ordered the 2-piece fried fish with a biscuit. We also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese and shared a banana pudding for dessert. The food came out quickly, hot, and fresh. The chicken and fish were perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and delicious. Everything was light, crispy, and tasty. I didn't need to add any extra sauces because the seasoning spoke for itself. The macaroni and cheese was a great addition and the banana pudding was the perfect sweet ending to our meal (but a little runny). Overall, we had a very positive experience. H &Chicken - Pikesville Maryland Location I don't know how to feel about this place. I would say I am 3/4 happy with it but overall, I'll give this a three out of five. I ordered a golden honey wrap. I also ordered the four piece chicken wings with fries, fish, a lemonade and I got two biscuits. The fish was hot and fresh once I received it and it was fried to perfection. The biscuits were soft and to me all they need is some more honey to top it off because without the honey it just has a BLAND flavor to it. The french fries are chunky, they are well seasoned you really don't need as many and I got a lot of of them and they are very fulfilling. To me my favorite thing at this place was the golden Honey wrap. It was the size of a burrito filled with chicken. The only thing that I would suggest they remove is the cucumber once I bid into the wrap all I could taste was cucumber so I had to remove it or remove what I could from it. The golden honey sauce is AMAZING me having this wrap makes me want to go back and try the classic the spicy and the ranch wrap. The only thing bad thing about wraps are they come solo and not as a meal so you're gonna have to add your own sides and pay more money. The chicken wings to me were seasoned really well and they were crispy, but once I bit into the skin to me, the chicken wasn't done so it seemed as if maybe they should have been left to fry for a couple more minutes longer. My lemonade ($3.00) was amazing. It taste really, really good so next time I definitely will be trying the half-and-half. Now the collard greens to me I will NEVER get again. They taste like they were canned and they were heated up. It didn't have any meat in my collard greens and they didn't have any flavor. I had to add my own hot sauce once I got home and to be honest with you it still was missing something. Once you enter into the restaurant you have an option to order on a kiosk or you can order at the counter. You can tell by this place being so new that they do a lot of carryout orders. The store is located on a busy stretch of Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, so you have to keep an eye out to avoid passing it. The food is very good. The timeliness of your order preparation is very good. This most recent visit which was my third visit. I asked if they had my order ready. It was a lady and a gentleman at the counter. He turned around and walked away, and she began to take someone else's order. All they had to say was let us check or it should be, but they said nothing. That's not a good luck. When I told her that no one acknowledged my question. I think she thought that was funny. Update. Been back a few times. Each time chicken has tasted waaay better. So I figured out if you go earlier of course you will get freshest batches. Crispy and flavorful etc. The Mac n cheese is horrible. Would never get that again. cheese and noodles with an aftertaste of water. No flavor. Yes, I went there today. I ordered rice, chicken and lamb. It was delicious with their yesterday. Ordered Chickn french fries and two biscuits was delicious. I have one problem with this restaurant. They need people cleaning the tables more. My family, and I had to wipe the tables off because they was dirty over than that. The food is delicious. It's located right on Reisterstown Road in which used to be a Boston market. It looks like it's mostly a to go establishment because there were not any people inside eating. But there were a lot of people waiting for their orders. I used one of the self-service kiosks to place my order. It looks like they cooked the chicken in the back and then place it out within eyes view like Popeyes. I just ordered three tenders fries and a drink. That came up to $18. So it is definitely only the more expensive end. Took about 20 minutes until my order was prepared. The fries were terrible. I only ate a couple of before throwing them away. They were very thick breaded with very little seasoning. It tasted like they were not even completely done throughout. How much prefer nice crispy fries. These were very dense and still kind of cold in the center. The chicken tenders were average, not much seasoning. It reminded me a lot of raising Cane's just more expensive. The best part of the meal was the biscuit. It tasted very similar to the old red lobster cheddar biscuits with a drizzle of honey on top. Overall middle of the road not sure if I would return. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service and food quality I received during my recent visit to H Chicken. I visited your establishment expecting to enjoy a fresh meal and support a local business. I ordered a 4-wing combo with fries and a drink, spending over $20. When I received my food and opened the box, I was shocked to find that the chicken was cold, extremely hard, and appeared to have been sitting for an extended period of time. After taking a bite, I realized the chicken was so hard that I genuinely felt I could have chipped a tooth. Because the food was unacceptable, I immediately returned to the counter and politely explained the situation to the employee. I was not rude, disrespectful, or demanding. I simply wanted the issue corrected. Instead of listening to my concerns and attempting to provide good customer service, the employee became argumentative. Rather than acknowledging the problem, she repeatedly argued with me about the condition of the food. As a paying customer, I felt dismissed and disrespected. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping someone in a leadership position could help resolve the matter professionally. However, I was told that no manager was available, and the employee stated that they were not frying any more chicken. While she eventually offered to refund my money, the overall interaction was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. What upset me most was not just the poor quality of the food but the lack of respect and customer service. I approached the situation calmly and professionally, but the employee's attitude and unwillingness to listen made the situation escalate unnecessarily. It is unfortunate when a customer feels forced out of character simply because their legitimate concerns are being ignored and argued against. Customer service should never make a customer feel like they are wrong for bringing attention to an issue. Had the employee simply apologized and worked toward a solution, this entire experience could have ended differently. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and unwilling to return. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses both the food quality concerns and the customer service issues at this location. I ordered 4 wings with fries, a mac n cheese, & half n half. The fried chicken wings are small so instead of 4 wings, I received 5. First off, the ordering kiosk thing was confusing. I accidentally ordered an extra fries because I didn't know the chicken sandwich came with fries, but I needed to order a drink because it didn't come with that. The employees are rushing around, ignoring everyone waiting and there is no music, just the sounds of customers getting upset with staff and staff yelling to the back in Spanish. Once I sat down, I found out that they had put cheese on the sandwich for no reason, so I took it back and waited another 15 minutes. Was it worth waiting 15 minutes, let alone 30 for this? Thought this place was convenient because it was right next to my work but my experience had been genuinely frustrating. Order online two hours ahead of time for 11:45 pickup and get there at 12:15 not ready. Have waited an hour to come pickup get there and am told they threw out my order because I waited too long to show up. I'm impressed by how well the crew staff handled the people actitud the employees were very friendly even though they were very busy and try to give customers a very fast service, however the few minutes i waited for my order to be ready I noticed how customers treated the young people working there it seems like they forget that this place some food it's cooked to order they're so inpatient that they want hot food without even waiting. The fried chicken was really good, as were the honey butter biscuits and macaroni and cheese side.
