The store is located on a busy stretch of Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, so you have to keep an eye out to avoid passing it. Update. Been back a few times. Each time chicken has tasted waaay better. So I figured out if you go earlier of course you will get freshest batches. Crispy and flavorful etc. The Mac n cheese is horrible. Would never get that again. cheese and noodles with an aftertaste of water. No flavor. They give a lot of fries and biscuits range from soft buttery to hard rocks - different chile I have ordered. Counter help always polite and store pretty spotless. Employees are always cleaning each time I have come in and wiping down counters and food area and drink area. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service and food quality I received during my recent visit to H Chicken. I visited your establishment expecting to enjoy a fresh meal and support a local business. I ordered a 4-wing combo with fries and a drink, spending over $20. When I received my food and opened the box, I was shocked to find that the chicken was cold, extremely hard, and appeared to have been sitting for an extended period of time. After taking a bite, I realized the chicken was so hard that I genuinely felt I could have chipped a tooth. Because the food was unacceptable, I immediately returned to the counter and politely explained the situation to the employee. I was not rude, disrespectful, or demanding. I simply wanted the issue corrected. Instead of listening to my concerns and attempting to provide good customer service, the employee became argumentative. Rather than acknowledging the problem, she repeatedly argued with me about the condition of the food. As a paying customer, I felt dismissed and disrespected. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping someone in a leadership position could help resolve the matter professionally. However, I was told that no manager was available, and the employee stated that they were not frying any more chicken. While she eventually offered to refund my money, the overall interaction was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. What upset me most was not just the poor quality of the food but the lack of respect and customer service. I approached the situation calmly and professionally, but the employee's attitude and unwillingness to listen made the situation escalate unnecessarily. It is unfortunate when a customer feels forced out of character simply because their legitimate concerns are being ignored and argued against. Customer service should never make a customer feel like they are wrong for bringing attention to an issue. Had the employee simply apologized and worked toward a solution, this entire experience could have ended differently. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and unwilling to return. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses both the food quality concerns and the customer service issues at this location. Underwhelming and overpriced. I arrived in the area for a appointment early so stopped in to H and Chicken to grab a bite to eat. It's located right on Reisterstown Road in which used to be a Boston market. It looks like it's mostly a to go establishment because there were not any people inside eating. But there were a lot of people waiting for their orders. I used one of the self-service kiosks to place my order. It looks like they cooked the chicken in the back and then place it out within eyes view like Popeyes. I just ordered three tenders fries and a drink. That came up to $18. So it is definitely only the more expensive end. Took about 20 minutes until my order was prepared. The fries were terrible. I only ate a couple of before throwing them away. They were very thick breaded with very little seasoning. It tasted like they were not even completely done throughout. How much prefer nice crispy fries. These were very dense and still kind of cold in the center. The chicken tenders were average, not much seasoning. It reminded me a lot of raising Cane's just more expensive. The best part of the meal was the biscuit. It tasted very similar to the old red lobster cheddar biscuits with a drizzle of honey on top. Overall middle of the road not sure if I would return. I ordered 4 wings with fries, a mac n cheese, & half n half. The fried chicken wings are small so instead of 4 wings, I received 5. They should do a better job of cleaning the chicken as long feathers were still on it. The chicken was okay, fries were nasty & thick for that type of cut. Biscuit was soggy & soaked with butter?? I went yesterday (Sunday). The place is CLEAN and the service was great. The food (chicken and waffles) was simply amazing. The wings were seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The waffle was more like a pastry :-) It was a delight to find good old fashion fried wings and you can taste the Hilal difference! The taste and they were of NORMAL size (if you know what I mean). I'm impressed by how well the crew staff handled the people actitud the employees were very friendly even though they were very busy and try to give customers a very fast service, however the few minutes i waited for my order to be ready I noticed how customers treated the young people working there it seems like they forget that this place some food it's cooked to order they're so inpatient that they want hot food without even waiting. First off, the ordering kiosk thing was confusing. I accidentally ordered an extra fries because I didn't know the chicken sandwich came with fries, but I needed to order a drink because it didn't come with that. The employees are rushing around, ignoring everyone waiting and there is no music, just the sounds of customers getting upset with staff and staff yelling to the back in Spanish. I waited 15 minutes for my fried chicken sandwich, soda, coleslaw, and 2 fries. Once I sat down, I found out that they had put cheese on the sandwich for no reason, so I took it back and waited another 15 minutes. Was it worth waiting 15 minutes, let alone 30 for this? No. The chicken was stringy and dry, probably because it was so thin. The mayo was non-existant. The coleslaw was probably made by them, just based on it tasting fresh albeit watery. Everytime I order in advance from this place my order is never ready. This had happened 4 times to me. Thought this place was convenient because it was right next to my work but my experience had been genuinely frustrating. Order online two hours ahead of time for 11:45 pickup and get there at 12:15 not ready. Have waited an hour to come pickup get there and am told they threw out my order because I waited too long to show up. Service is genuinely terrible because I only have a 15 minute break and when I ask how long it will take to finish told like 5 minutes and then I spend the time waiting for my food and don't even get to eat it. A restaurant new to Pikesville (with a DC and Hyattsville location, and named for their DC street location), that took the place of the former Boston Market. The fried chicken was really good, as were the honey butter biscuits and macaroni and cheese side. I got the weekend-only $19.99 12 piece chicken, 3 biscuits, and 2 side special, getting this as a carry out order, which order we placed at the restaurant and not in advance, and was really pleased.
