I have been to many other Mexican restaurants and this stands out because of the authenticity. Loved every bite of my Tacos al Pastor. The Tamales we ordered, both the red and the green, were outstanding. I liked the red tamales the most and my husband liked the green. I would go back and try other food on the menu. Really good and authentic Mexican food. We had the carne tacos, chicken sopes, chilaquiles, and shrimp and guacamole salad. All were amazing. The horchata is a must try- the best we've ever had. Really not that authentic. I got enchiladas with Rojas sauce and it was basically cold with tomato sauce poured on top. It was very disappointing. In addition, the salsa was very watery. I don't plan on trying it again. read more

I was bummed when a local pizza shop didn't do slices, so I bounced across the street to Chilangos for a Veg burrito loaded with all the good stuff. Had to take it to go but next time I'm in town will remember to take the time to explore the other options on the menu. Fantastic food, so so burritos. Having lived in the American Southwest for 25 years, I can certify this is authentic Mexican cuisine. As such, don't order a burrito if you're expecting it to be a Chipotle-3-pound-monster. Instead, look at all the other things on the menu, they generally pretty fantastic. I am truly flabbergasted at all these great reviews. Are you guys on drugs?? I've been here twice now. The first time was take out and I didn't like my food but I also didn't really know exactly what I was ordering so I thought that might be why. However, it still tasted like drywall though. The second time I went was just an all around awful experience. Their cheese dip was literally HARD. My 3 tacos that had no flavor were $10 and they were TINY. They wouldn't fill up a child. Speaking of children...the owner or staff had their kids there. The entire 45 minutes I was there they were playing with some toy that played the same song over and over and over and over and over again. I was going to lose it. I understand that kids make noise but if I'm going out to eat, I don't want to be annoyed to death by your children. Additionally, the place looks like a dump. It is decorated with dollar store decor (has streamers hanging from the ceiling and uses the dollar tree cinco de Mayo signs) and it looks like it could use a few hours of good scrubbing. Chilangos is a gem. Their authentic Mexican food is lovingly prepared. The restaurant may not look like much but it's packed with flavor.

The food is ok. Spending a lot of time in Texas and California and Chicago has given me a different expectation in Mexican food. Salsa is excellent. Having eaten in the building often with the last restaurant it is easy to see how much they have let the building go. Would not return with so many better dining choices nearby. read more

I freaking love this place. I always get the burrito especial...$7 for a huge burrito that easily lasts for two meals. Their takeout is fast and convenient, but it's also welcoming enough to visit for a sit down meal. Authentic Mexican in Lititz is a rare find and Chilangos does it great. Looking for some Mexican after going to the Penn Cinema IMAX. We like authentic Mexican, reasonable prices, and this place was AWESOME! I did not know of such a gem in Lititz and we cannot recommend it enough. The food is wonderfully fresh tasting and an excellent value, the staff was friendly, but the upkeep of the restaurant itself leaves much to be desired...the place needs a good scrubbing and some paint. Wife and I stopped for lunch. We ordered the cheese dip which came out in about 2 minutes. Unfortunately, it was barely warm at all. Our food took 25 minutes from order to delivered to the table. For lunch that's a little slow. Prices are good and portions are plenty. Even the to go orders were leaving very slowly. read more

If you've been in Lititz for a while, you remember this place as an old Hershey's Ice Cream shop. It still has the mirror and counter/seats in the front room. It's not a formal establishment. But you know how you know when you're eating real food? There's nothing ersatz about this place. This place is real food. I agree that they seem to tone down the spice for perhaps a more german palate, so I ask for "mas picante". Maybe the service isn't the quickest, but know that going in. You'll have a few minutes to chat or check your phone. If you need to rush, then maybe choose a time to eat here when you have a few more minutes. The food is real. It's not expensive. Best Mexican food I've ever tasted in this side of PA. I've tried pretty much everything here and it's all authentic and made to flavorful perfection. The servers are extremely attentive even if you decide to sit out in the patio, they will bring your food as soon as it hits the line. This is a place to come if you want flavor, fresh food made to order with fresh local ingredients, true authentic Mexican food and a smile.
