I wasn't always the easiest I deal with throughout all the emotions and stress that come with pregnancy and the decision to give up your child. Jennifer was there for me and no matter what mood I was in she was a steady, calm, reasonable voice that I now consider a friend. I look back now and I'm amazed that I wasn't the only person she had on her caseload, far from it. I want to also recognize Becky Merryman, case manager for the adoptive parents, whom we couldn't be happier with. Becky was great and genuinely shares the excitement with the family but also was very compassionate to both my boyfriend and I.

I would reply to his emails and for some reason he wasn't getting them even though I had proof it delivered to his inbox. The same with texts... the first time I texted with him he gave off this impression that I was disturbing him? I always felt like I was catching him on his "off" days. As a business owner, you are allowed to have "off" days but you just can't show them. Thats how you lose business. His first impression on me was "wow this person is clearly overworked". We had or what I thought was a scheduled home visit. I waited and waited until I texted him 15 mins after the scheduled time but no response on his end. I waited 10 more minutes and finally called him. He finally answered and rudely stated "I emailed you two times and never heard back from you". Yes, I could have called the day prior to his supposed arrival but so could he. Then he abrasive said that he shouldn't even perform a home visit unless he has my social security number. Well....it wasn't required while I was filing out my application and I submitted with no problem or kickback. If it was that big of a deal the application should have had an asterisk next to it so you wouldn't be able to submit your application until it was filled out. I'll blame this on technology for the sake of argument but as a first time potential "client"... this was not the interaction i was hoping for. I'm not expecting rainbows or unicorns however I am expecting a certain amount of respect and basic communication ESPECIALLY with the owner of said business. I desperately want to grown my tiny family, so I can't let this little hiccup dictate with me moving forward but I won't be going with this agency. Chose carefully everyone!! First impressions never lie.

I never understood the reality of how this person was approved to be matched. We were not protected in the slightest. The process lasted several painful weeks, cost thousands of dollars that we never saw again, and turned me away from the idea of adoption completely. Absolutely no apologies were made. The communication was poor, the management was unprofessional, and in the end I felt violated.

Management and HR are liars, disrespectful, backstabbers, uncaring, horrible human beings. The first couple of weeks of working there is great. They are full of positive words and promises and then everything changes. They change you from being paid hourly to salary so they can literally work you to death, and it is never enough. There is a ridiculous amount of work that is impossible to complete in time...because there is NOT ENOUGH TIME!! They are refusing to pay me because I was unable to complete my notes within 48 hours because I was working myself to death and driving all over the valley until 9 pm, multiple nights a week. Child Crisis Arizona, you are shameful!
