I first worked with Michelle during the birth of my oldest child in 2020. As a first-time mom, I…read morefelt excited about giving birth but also overwhelmed by all the unknowns. I wanted someone who could help me understand my options, prepare for labor, and provide support beyond what I expected from my medical team. Hiring a doula gave me the reassurance that I wouldn't have to navigate the experience alone. Knowing Michelle would be there to guide, educate, and encourage me made me feel much more confident and prepared going into my first birth. After that, having a doula, for me, was a non-negotiable. Michelle has been by my side for the births of all three of my children, and I can't imaging a birth without her. Each experience was so unique and different, but her support, knowledge, and encouragement were invaluable every single time. I wanted unmedicated births, and Michelle gave me the confidence, preparation, and tools I needed to achieve that goal. During labor, she knew exactly how to support me physically and emotionally, helping me stay focused and calm through some of the most challenging moments. When I doubted myself, she reminded me of my strength and helped me trust my body. What sets Michelle apart is that she doesn't just show up on the day of your birth. She invests in her clients, provides evidence-based information, answers questions, and helps you feel empowered to make decisions that are right for you and your family. Her presence brought a sense of peace and confidence that benefited not only me, but also my husband. She helped my husband understand my needs and how to be a source of strength. She guided him through ways to encourage and comfort me during labor, which allowed us to work together as a team and made the experience even more positive. Because of Michelle's support, I look back on all three of my birth experiences with gratitude and pride. If you're considering hiring a doula, I wholeheartedly recommend the Modern Momma team; they are compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and truly passionate about helping mothers have positive and empowering birth experiences.

I want to share our experience honestly so other expecting families can make an informed choice. We…read morehired this doula for full birth and postpartum support, and we came to them through a trusted family referral -- which makes what happened even harder to understand. When my wife's water broke, we let the doula know and headed to the hospital. She was also told my wife was contracting. Despite knowing all of this, the doula never came and never once called to check in. We went through the birth of our son without the support we had paid for and counted on. What happened afterward was just as disappointing. Rather than taking responsibility, we were told it was our fault for not explicitly instructing her to come -- even though she knew we were at the hospital and in labor. Instead of accountability we were blamed for not "telling her to come" -- as if a laboring mother at the hospital isn't signal enough. When we asked to speak with the owner, no one had the courtesy to call us directly.

If you are an actor at any level in your career and need a qualified acting coach then Cara Alvey should be on your list to train with. She knows the AZ market and is seen out often networking. If you live in AZ and can make it in person that is best but if not thankfully you can do online. Directors looking for an on set acting coach should hire Cara since she will work wonderful with all ages. Finding a good acting coach is key to success and Cara is sure to get you on the right track to success. I've personally signed some of her students and some are booking jobs within the first 6 months of signing making over $1500+ a day on set. I will not sign anyone who has not been in on-camera acting classes so that is the first step and you are not done you will continue to train over the years. These are fun by the way and this is a great industry so enjoy the journey, keep smiling, work hard and make some friends along the way!
