I recently pulled my kids from this dentist office. Our first appointment with them went fine, but my youngest struggles with a bit of anxiety at the dentist. She was very comfortable with our previous dentist but unfortunately they stopped taking our insurance so we were referred to this office. They seemed to rush her through the cleaning and X-rays regardless if she was nervous or not. So during our second appointment she was very apprehensive and upset and they continued to rush through the cleaning which was clearly causing her to be upset and she was crying. The dental assistant asked if she had been "traumatized" by a previous dentist and I told her no. It was a horrible experience and my daughter cried the whole time. Instead of being any type of comforting they just continued to rush and finish her exam and cleaning. Once it was done and we got her to relax they let my oldest daughter go to the "treasure chest" but denied my youngest and the DENTIST HERSELF told my daughter that because she cried she couldn't have anything. It was rude, sad and unprofessional. Needless to say we have since switched dentists and my daughter has gotten past her very cold and ridiculous experience with this office. We are very disappointed because they came so highly rated and we recommended them to friends after our first appointment and then had one of our children treated so poorly. read more

I've been coming here since my daughter was about 6 months old and now she just turned 2. She's not very good with doctors so when she comes to the dentist she automatically "assumes" she knows where she is. Regardless, she cries and cries so much, the staff are all so calm and patient always. I can not stress this enough but the dentist Patty is so patient with my daughter and in the end she makes her feel better, i would not go anywhere else for a dentist. My son had to be there at 6:30am so we could fill out 5 pieces of paperwork. Doctor doesn't arrive until 7. I had questions about the procedure but had to wait for the Doctor to arrive. I apparently asked too many questions because then I was told my son wouldn't be seen that day. My husband then spoke to the Doctor and she said they wouldn't see him and next available appointment isn't until October. I waited several hours to call the office back and ask what happened. They let me know that because my husband and I didn't "agree"/were talking to one another about the procedure they wouldn't do it. The reviews are right! This place is wonderful! Just went for Baby's 1st Dental Appt. He is 14 Months old and our pediatrician at TLC Pediatrics recommended we get in here for the first appt. Called and booked within a couple days. They take all insurances; including Cal Optima/Medi-Cal. The team was bright and cheery, their face masks had designs on them (unicorn horns), which made baby smile. Dr asked about our at-home routine, if I had any concerns, and checked/brushed his teeth (all 6 of them )! She ended with fluoride, after asking if it was ok, and giving us a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a ball from the gumball machine. Suggestions were given, and ability to follow through with advisements were signed off on. Baby cried, but only a little bit, and he was back to good. New patient experience is not a "wow" factor, the initial phone call was ok, scheduled an appointment same day(good service, the only plus), upon checking in I signed new patient paperwork, however I did not sign the "mandatory" $50 agreement for missed appointment (I am not a patient to flake any appointments) and was told that my son would not be able to be seen. (Keep in mind my son face planted and was swollen on the lower right side and they knew that as I had expressed it). I was going based off the 5 star rating on google, but definitely not a 5star, def a 0 star. read more

First time visitor for my son's dental check-up and cleaning and it wasn't at all what I expected. Staff was super professional-- efficient and thorough, warm and friendly. Doc Patty was a delight to consult with. She put my son at ease, spoke to him directly and reassured him about the procedure, and was gentle yet firm in reminding him about keeping good dental habits and hygiene upkeep. Doc Patty also explained to me the next steps and procedure, to ensure that my son's upcoming Orthodontic treatment will naturally jive with his regular dental checkup and procedure, while making me feel I did alright as a parent, and not like a neglectful mom.
