The office is clean, bright, and genuinely cute inside, and the staff, front desk, assistants, everyone... has been consistently warm and friendly throughout our year plus here. The doctor does see my kid during appointments, so I have no complaints there. My real gripe is on the parent side. With most dentists, you're invited back to see what's going on and get a quick update on your kid's progress. Here, that never happens. Once my kid's appointment is done, we're just sent to the front desk to book the next one. No check-in, no explanation of where we are in treatment or what's coming next. I'm sure everything's going fine, but as a parent I'd like to actually be looped in occasionally instead of finding out things secondhand from my child. Great space and team, just wish there was more communication with parents specifically. read more

had an open bite, crossbit, and under bit problems with my teeth and I went to many doctors all over the world since I was 12, and finally made up my mind to get it done when I was 25. I met Dr. Kwak when she was at UCLA. I went through a 3 years brace process with my surgery done in the 2nd year. to keep it simple. I just attached my before and after pics. the result speaks it all. she and Dr.Freymiller fixed my all problems. if you have the same concerns like mine. I feel you. I been searching for good Ortho for like 10 years. I let her design the process and surgery. Everything was smooth and easy. Dr Jinny is a very talented, VERY intelleigent, meticulus, and personable. She is honest, hardworking, listen than help, and NOT afraid of complex cases. She has acquired years of lessons learned/knowledge including establishing a network of doctors (in various areas of specialties) in California. She's open to ideas, offers many options, and will provide flexible options to choose. She is experience with both ADULTs and children. (Adults are a bit harder). My medical condition is unique/complex, but she provided options and wasn't afraid of the challenge. Before I approached her, I consulted with other orthodontist, (5) TMJ experts and have (2) neurologist, (2) pain medicine, but it was her IDEA which I took serious consideration. She's gentle and careful not to minimize discomfort. Woman also have advantage of small hands for tight/delicate spaces and maneuver better. The office is new, very clean with free parking. It's on the 2nd floor. Take a left once out of the elevator (it looks like a deadend, but it isn't). Coffee, tea, water, bubbly water, and pastries are available. The treatment chairs are new and comfortable. Raffles (shoes, drones, etc) are provided to encourage kids to do their best. Keep in mind, I rarely give 5 star reviews and skeptical. This doctor is a rare exception based on the handling of the situation and what she provided during my visit with her knowledge/skills. I want doctors like her to succeed so that patients have MORE choices with GOOD doctors. She's definitely about helping patients before profits. All she needs is to find a replica of her for office support, then it'll be AWEsome. read more

Dr. Jinny and her team are lifesavers! I had a permanent retainer (installed when i was a teen) break last Friday and was having my speech, eating, and general quality of life impacted. Most orthodontists that I contacted refused to remove it without installing another one, and the ones that would didn't have availability until the next week. After suffering through it for a day, I reached out to ClearWave, and they were able to book me for a same-day appointment on a Saturday no less! Dr. Jinny was able to remove the retainer at a third of the cost of my other quotes, and educated me on my options moving forward without being pushy. I had braces in the past at a different orthodontist and I thought the care was good there. However after getting care here at Clearwave I see how much of a difference it is to have ACTUAL good care. The team here is kind and make sure you're always comfortable. It is rare to find a doctor who is highly qualified, and yet is caring and always has time for her patients. My child was her patient when she moved her location. She went out of her way to find other orthodontists in our area for us but because she was so caring, we decided to make the long drive and stay with her. She always explains what is being done, patiently answers all the questions (and I have a lot), and responds to my emails promptly. She even contacted me time to time to check on us. Her bedside manner is amazing too. My child is not usually fond of dental visits but loves to see her. Her office is very clean and pleasant. There are walls separating chairs which I like during the Covid time. The office has a very high quality air filter (Molekule). I feel safe visiting her office. Dr. Kwak is an excellent orthodontist. I had braces at UCLA where she previously practiced. Although braces can sometimes be uncomfortable, I am very happy with my experience and results. I was told I needed extractions by 2 other orthodontists prior to seeing Dr. Kwak, Dr. Kwak gave me an option to straighten my teeth without extraction and I am absolutely amazed by the final results. Dr. Kwak is very meticulous and knowledgeable. She took the time to thoroughly address my concerns. I travel a lot for work and she was able to accommodate my follow ups around my hectic schedule.
