They are organized, professional and courteous! Great Teachers! And Staff! The place is clean too!

My 2 kiddos grew up at Whistlestop station (Hickox)!!! We love the family at WSS- they are all the things any parent would look for in a day care. The staff are helpful, attentive, and they have so much love to give to our little ones. My two littles started at 9 mos / 1 year and they're now 5 and 3 y/o. My 5 year old graduated the Pre K program but uses the after school bus rider program and gets picked up at WSS with his sister - another AWESOME perk that WSS offers! This was formerly Whistle Stop Station but under new ownership (The Pillars) now. It was already a great school but now there are some great improvements and upgrades to the building and classrooms. The teachers and Director team are also just fantastic! read more

We love this establishment. It's not just a daycare. We have had our daughter there since she was a baby. The development is crazy. Whistle Stop Station has been everything we could ask for and more!! Having our daughter and son go to whistle was the best decision we could have man. This place really treats you like family by not only showing how loving they are to your kiddos but also by just remembering your name when you walk in the door. All three of our little ones love this school and their teachers. Administration and staff are genuine, sweet, and caring. Our three year old has done very well with counting, letter recognition, and his colors at a young age. It is obvious our infant twins are loved and doted on throughout the day. They are excited to see their classroom every morning and in a good mood every afternoon when picked up. There is great communication, a variety of fun activities, and wonderful family involvement throughout the year. read more

My son has been attending WhistleStop for 6 months, since he turned 1. He always lights up when he sees his teachers, Ms. Rebekah or Ms. Raquel. They do a wonderful job caring & loving on him every day. We were able to get a fair rate for tuition & plan on keeping him there until he is school age. My son and daughter both attended Whistle Stop for many years. Ever since my son was under 3 and my daughter when she was less than 3 months. We loved the director that retired last year but ever since hiring someone else, we had issues. The last straw was when my daughter's teacher changed. I would get a call from the daycare that my daughter (3) was needing to be picked up because she was "aggressive". Her teacher just couldn't handle the age group and keep control of the classroom. She was very passive with directing the kids as I saw in the video. Upon watching the video I saw a teacher that was giving little effort to correct a 3 year olds behavior and honestly boredom. The director had the nerve to tell me she was afraid to get down on my 3 year olds level! wow! It was completely laughable! What it came down to was my child was not liked and the teacher could not gain control. All of the kids would follow her. The owner and director only cared to keep teachers and want children that will easily fall in line with little effort - In other words not be 3! The second suspension(!) we were told being she was a "flight risk". I was called at work because she left the gym and ran to the classroom not listening. I was told they've had several kids jump fences and go to the street! Ashley and Rusty have proven to not care about the children. This was enough for me..and we went to another daycare that was highly recommended by several friends. Now my daughter is thriving and loving going to school again. It's night and day! It's sad because there are many teachers at WS we loved but my 3 year old was being pushed out by the incompetent director and the owner's son. I hesitate to write a review like this but seeing as how they are obviously campaigning for good reviews lately, I need to share my story to warn parents that there are people with bad experiences. I know of other parents stories that have left as well. They are also much happier at other places. read more

We've had both of our kids going here since they were old enough to attend. Honestly couldn't be happier with how they've taught and led our kids. Staff has always been kind to our kids and us. They keep the kids busy with onsite activities and on field trips. Love this place. read more

Whistle Stop has always been fantastic for both of my kids. We started out at a different daycare that forgot to feed my 3 month old several times so we had to make a switch and Whistle Stop took the best care of both of my babies since then. We feel so trusting and confident in the care they get there, especially knowing what kind of care our first got from the first daycare we tried before. Our girls LOVE their teachers, especially Miss Taylor!! Every day we walk in and my 3 year old points to all her friends and all the teachers there know her even though she's not in their class. They decorate for every holiday and come home with fun artwork all the time. They also seem to be cheaper than the other daycares nearby somehow!! read more

This daycare use to be the best and I would have recommended them over everything. Now they have a new director and they have had a huge turn over rate and it has definitely gone down the drain. There only a few select teachers that are great there but overall, it's awful. They definitely don't have the kids best at heart. The director only cares about her few favorite staff members and her select few favorite kids. They have become so unprofessional! They singled out my kid and pushed us out over every little thing. They are cowards and way overpriced for what you get. They say it's a Christian based school but they are what give Christian's a bad name. They only care about the money in their pocket, not your child! read more

my son has been going to whistle stop for about a year now and began in the infant class. he is our first and only child and I never grew up around daycares. I can truly say we love it here and so does my son. sure we have had some bumps and I have voiced my concern to the director and things were addressed and we continued on. I'm usually the kind to not complain and just brush it off and move on but I honestly feel this is something I can't keep from expressing specially because it's about my kid and the momma bear in me comes out. Now I know my 2 year old may not be the best behaved kid but he is JUST TWO. He recently got expelled from Whistle Stop-Chiesa, and I want to note that before this we had him at the Hickox location and never had any issues nor complains. It started with biting complains which to me where concerning because I am big on keeping your hands and mouth to yourself but when dad went to pick him up he was told the reason was because "they can't handle him" and the "class is too big for him" along with "biting is not our concern". So which one is it? And personally I was taking the biting more of a concern instead of the him not staying still and running around because again it's 2 year old behavior to me. I came to the conclusion that at the end of the day they where just trying to get him out of the school since their classrooms are OVER capacity with only two teachers in them and there where many many times I went in there to pick him up and there was was only one teacher in the class, and every time I would pick him up the teachers would tell me he had a great day very few times was I told by the actual teachers if he had a bad day. So I'm sorry Whistle Stop - Chiesa that YOU don't have the capacity to care over a typical two year boy and have your staff overwhelmed. Definitely don't recommend for anyone to choose this day care for their kids. read more

Putting your child in daycare can be a hard choice. Whistle Stop makes it so easy, my son LOVES going here and is excited every day to get to go to "school" I love the staff and owners. Everyone is friendly the second you walk in the door and makes you feel at home. read more

I moved my son here a year ago from a nearby school we have had a great experience. He has learned so very much and comes home saying new things/singing new songs all the time. Mrs. Jeanne has been great for him in pre-k B. It makes me feel good he is learning and not just playing. The staff had been responsive any time I had a concern which I appreciate. read more

I love this daycare. I felt like the teachers really cared for my kids. We switched because we loved. My oldest went there from an infant to age 4 years and youngest infant to 2.5 years old. I am considering making the drive to put them back there. I haven't found another place that compares. Sloan, Whitney, Shelby, Courtney, Vina are all wonderful and the director Leah Taylor is also awesome. read more

My child has attended Whistle Stop Station since the infant room. She just turned 2 years old and has since been cared for, nutured, taught to, and loved on at this school. This isn't just a "daycare" where kids run freely and teachers simply babysit all day. It's a school where there are teachers (who are trained with numerous hours of up to date guidelines, regulations, and CPR certification) who truly love and care for your individual child. The standards are set high. The school has a set schedule for each class that is appropriate to their age group. They have a state approved educated curriculum so that they are learning new things each day. Each class has age appropriate toys for their scheduled play time and the school itself has 3-4 separate playgrounds that are also appropriate for specific age groups. The school is very clean and well manicured. My daughter is now in the "toddler room" and gets excited to go to school to see her teachers Ms. Alison and Ms. Carly. She knows her ABC's, can count to 20, sings countless songs, and knows a good amount of sign language. I can't take credit for ANY of that. We absolutely love this school, the teachers, the office staff, and what the school standards are. read more
