They make you do threading three times so you can remember well. I was not interested in the glitzy / "gown" fabrics for the most part, but the selection is wide and there are amazing silks, wools, and even some cotton and linen. The folks on staff when we visited were super nice and helpful at showing us around. Agree with the reviewer who shops the remnants room - that was me as well. Beautiful finds there! They also have a really nice selection of buttons that you won't find elsewhere. My only regret is that I am not made of money, but if you are shopping for high-end clients you will find amazing things here with no regrets!

All surrounding stores were sold out. I went to shop in the aisles first and looked at the ornaments but didn't see a possum. I thought if they were really cute I might pick up another one. But didn't see one. When I went to the counter to pick up my order, the manager so kindly apologized that he spent at least 10 minutes looking for the possum ornament. I thanked him so much for trying to find it. I did end up buying 2 different ornaments because they were marked down to $2 which was less than the price when I shopped online. Although I was unable to get the item I ordered I really appreciated the managers excellent customer service.

The staples were there and reasonably priced...but the prints were all pretty awful. I found a much better spandex/lycra selection at Golden D'or down the street. There wasn't any wait and the guy who cut my fabrics was friendly. The bolts were huge and I guess you're supposed to carry them yourself to the table...which would be a challenging task for a lot of people. The place was kind of a total mess and finding what you need is going to take time. I suppose it really comes down to WHAT you need. This place may be perfect depending on what you're looking for. I felt like if I were making a prom dress, there were tons of options. If you're making kids stretch clothes or swimsuits, you might not find what you need.

So once I was done, I knew I wanted to go to a fabric store to recreate the candlestick photo I shared. While searching Petra's came up over and over. I now know why - their selection is incredible. They have their fabric clearly marked - detailing the type, uses, price, and dimensions. I ended up finding four fabrics that were perfect for the task at hand. The only downside to Petra's is that when you go to get your fabric measured and cut, it can be a tad confusing because there isn't a place to stand in line. Which can be a little chaotic when trying to get what you need and then purchase it. I would ask for a sign to be placed on the cutting table. Other than that small "issue," I loved shopping here and will absolutely be back!
