I bought a dress at whatchamacallit for a quienceanera. Magic stitch did a great job with all my alterations. Only 2 hours of wearing this dress was enough for the wires in the corset to start coming out. This of course made me very upset. I decided to call whatchamacallit to explain how upset i was about buying a $500+ dress that was poorly made. They basically told me to take it to Magic Stitch and they would fix my dress for free. Once I arrive at magic stitch (which is inside of whatchamacallit) the manager or employee tells me he was not informed about the conversation I had with the employees from whatchamacallit. Danny and his staff were absolutely incredible to work with . I've never been fitted for a formal dress. I was definitely feeling shy and overwhelmed about the entire process. Dannys staff took one look at me and immediately started pinning fabric on areas of my dress that needed to be taken in. The entire team was so sweet and I felt completely comfortable around everyone. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had to get my bridesmaid dress altered for my sister's wedding and after scouring Yelp, I decided to try Magic Stitch. I could not be happier with my decision. Everyone there is friendly and helpful, and they do GREAT work. I had to get my dress hemmed, added a slit, and they fixed the lace top to fit me better. Their prices are fair and their work is quick but amazing. I have another wedding I'm in next February, and I will DEFINITELY be coming back with that dress. I recently took 2 dresses for hemming (last week of April 2023) and I needed a quick turn around since I needed them for my bday. Danny was super helpful and committed to get it hemmed before my bday trip which definitely saved me. Not only did they get the dresses hemmed, I decided to go shorter on just 1 and again, he committed to get it done literally within the same day. Tailoring services usually charge an arm and a leg for rush services, even if you go back for additional work and Danny was kind enough as a 1st time customer to not charge extra so I'm definitely coming back for all future tailor services. read more

Great place for uniform alterations! Easy, no-fuss, affordable. Went in after the uniform shop messed up my order, resulting in skirts that needed alteration. Was in a bit of a panic as my newly-minted freshman starts high school this week. Called Magic Stitch and Danny said he'd take care of me--which he did! Two days later, I have all three skirts, beautifully hemmed and ready for my daughter to wear to the first day of school tomorrow. Purchased a final sale bridesmaids dress on a website that would not allow me a larger size as I purchased it 1-2 sizes too small. Danny and the team were great! I came in with a dress and needed next day alterations. Not only did I need the length shortened but I also had a split added in. My dress also had some beading on the bodice and they replaced the missing beads with no charge. They are awesome! I also found out they do alterations for men as well. I tried Magic Stitch for the first time on Oct. 30, 2023 and was very pleased with their work and turn around time. I needed some elastic sheet straps removed from a damaged sheet and then sewn on to a king size fitted sheet. I asked how much they would charge up front and it was reasonable. Absolutely phenomenal service to say the least! The staff is friendly, the alterations are affordable and done incredibly well. The zipper on one of my gowns broke and they fixed it in less than 10 minutes. I live a ways away from Magic Stitch but the drive is 100% worth it!
