I cannot say enough good things about this daycare. I have been taking my kids to this daycare since 2013. My children feel at home here and I have created great relationships with the ladies who work here. We left Valley Child Care for a brief period of time because we moved to the Gilbert area. I was not able to find any daycare that equaled the quality and service. I decided to bring my kids back to this daycare even though it was out of my way! One of the amazing things about Valley Child Care is that the people who work there truly care about the kids. Some of the teachers that work there have been at Valley for over 20 years! This is not something you encounter often in childcare settings. Other things that I really love about this daycare are that you only pay for the days you actually attend! So if you only attend for 1 day a week then you just pay the daily rate. This is SO rare! Also, all diapers and food are included in the daily rate! You cannot beat that! The kids are provided with nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks. My kids honestly eat better than I do during the day! I am also very pleased with the education my kids are getting. My pre-school son is doing great job with learning his letters and numbers. He also participates in extra-curricular activities such as jiu-jitsu and Snack Attack. My 1 year old daughter has also developed so much since she started attending. She has learned social skills and has even learned to say please and thank you! Both my children also bring home daily artwork. I am very confident in my decision to send both my children to Valley and I know they will be thoroughly prepared for Kindergarten once the time comes! read more

I first want to apologize to everyone at Busy Bees for taking so long to give my exit review. You guys are truly the best and really made a difference in my life and my grandsons life. You all have helped me through so much ( my good days and bad days). You also helped my boy grow into a very confident little man. He is a very smart boy and is proud to share all that g he e has learned at Busy Bees. But, unfortunately, Oct 31, 2024 was my grandsons last day with Busy Bees. It was a sad day for both of us. My boy was confused that he wasn't coming back to his school. My grandson had been attending Busy Bees since he was 16 months old, now he is 4 years old. He learned so much during his time with you and made so many friends. To this day he ask for his best friend. He and his BF were in separable. I know he misses Busy Bees and so do I! Sadly, once we adopted my grandson DES terminated our daycare discount program, which helped me tremendously. I was left on my own to pay daycare expenses at 100%. unfortunately I just could not afford Busy Bee fees. I found a preschool who offered me a scholarship that did help with lower fees. The unfortunate thing is I do not think he is learning nearly as much as he did at Busy Bees. If Busy Bees had a scholarship program that could help low income grandparents like me, who make little money, I would bring him back in a heart beat. I've been bringing my girls here since July and I couldn't be happier. The worst daycare ever. Save yourself the trouble and don't leave your child in the care of the staff at this facility. They made serious accusations and false reports against me after I witnessed my granddaughter being treated poorly and left to cry in a crib. The director Ann is very unprofessional and poor management skills. Trust me when I say this. If you love your child you will not leave them at this unsanitary day care to be cared for by dishonest and poorly trained lazy people. I have two boys 3.5 yr old and 1.5 both go here. The staff is wonderful they treat you like family. Our boys have learned so much. Each day my son tells me what he did at school and how much he loves his teachers they are his best friend he says. I work close and was able to breastfeed my infant when he was in the infant room. My older son dose snack attack with miss Val. He has made friends at school that have allowed me to stay in contact with the other parents for play dates. We truly love it here. read more

A friend of my son goes to Valley Child Care & Learning and loves it so we picked it out to be our preschool, too. We like the big outdoor playground, the nice teachers and the healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks they serve. My son often comes home with colorful art, learning projects, or telling me all about the music/reading/fun things they do. My two kids have developed so much better due to the amazing staff at Valley Child Care on Ray Road. Staff members over the last 3 years have left a lasting impression on my kids beyond words. Would NOT recommend bring your child here unless you don't care about how their day went, etc. We spoke with the director numerous times about communication amongst the teachers and other staff and it would be fine for a couple days then back to zero communication. We want to know how our child's day went and the daily sheet was hardly filled out correctly so we would have to constantly ask at pick-up questions about whether he ate a snack or what time he woke up from a nap. The other issue is the computer when you check your child in and out for the day. It'll tell you what room your child is in and that is where your child should be...wrong. There were countless times it said my child was in a particular room but when I would go to the room nobody was in it. Then I would go to the next room where he might be and nobody would be in that room. It took me looking in three rooms to find my child, that should not be the case. The next issue is an illness that was going around for a week before they decided that they think my child had it, which in fact he most certainly did not, and they did NOT post in the front for all parents to see and be aware of. The director felt that she didn't need to overwhelm parents with countless messages on the computer of every illness that was going on in the daycare whether it was related to their child's room or not. By law you are supposed to post an illness in the front for everyone to see. Eventually the director was tired of us constantly asking questions as to why things weren't filled out correctly or not done correctly, etc. and told me that we needed to find another place. How professional, you aren't doing your job correctly so you tell the parent to go elsewhere because you're tired of being questioned why you aren't doing your job. Please save yourself the time and hassle and go somewhere more reputable and professional. read more

I absolutely love this Childcare Center all of the staff are so AWESOME, Loving, and Kind! I can honestly say I was a bit nervous starting out as a new mom of 3 and having to leave my baby with the center as a first time experience for me and my family. I thought the worst lol about Daycare centers lol but as time passed the staff and myself became very comfortable and I felt safe being that my kiddos always had Gram Gram and Mema as their nannies but they assured me that we would be okay and made growing together easy as well as being welcoming to my thoughts and fears. My family and I love the care that they show to each child and time they spend getting to get to know you and the child for a better development. They are always engaged in mAking sure your child is learning not just being watched. Not only are the teacher and staff amazing but they offer so many extra activities that we can sign the kids up for. My daughter loves the days when she gets to dance or do tumble town. Sending my first child to daycare for the first time was... daunting. Dealing with "working-mom guilt," general anxiety about him being away from us, the cost, etc. A friend recommended Valley Learning Center, and this was the first and last place we considered. This location offering part-time options was a life saver, but more importantly than that you can just tell how much they care. There was that warm, welcoming feeling from the moment we walked in and I've felt the same every time I've dropped him off and picked him up. They don't mind me calling multiple times a day to check on him, they provide detailed reports at pick-up, and went above and beyond when my son wasn't feeling good until I could pick him up. I also love that they provide diapers and food/snacks throughout the day, especially when the cost is so affordable (compared to other places) to begin with. Our time with Valley Learning Center has just begun, and I am already so glad we found them! read more

I took my daughter who is 18 months old here from January to April and wow that was far too long!!!! Every time I'd pick her up she always had a full diaper, she always had snot running down her face and she constantly got bruises all over her!!!! What finally deterred me from this monstrous place was when I came in and realized the teacher didn't even know my child's name!!!! Oh and every day they were well over the state requirement for kid to teacher ratio, I believe it's suppose to be 6 to 1 and it was more like 14 to 1. We had an absolute terrible experience with this daycare center. I would advise any parent considering enrolling their children into this center to stop GET OUT, STAY AWAY, and look at accredited schools. The staff, mainly the assistant director and director have no idea how to work with parents or toddlers. The teachers do not know how to teach in an early childhood setting and do not keep an eye on the children nor know how to handle toddler behaviors. This school was terrible at writing incident reports and labeled my son who was only 2 1/2 at the time as the bad kid in class. We worked very hard with this school to help redirect our toddlers' behaviors but instead of them helping us, they made us feel like we were failing and what other schools consider normal toddler behaviors, this one made the children out to be bad and parents out to be incompetent. I caught this center not following their own requirements as well as the state mandated requirements for a healthy childcare center, I spoke with the Director about this on the phone and she caught herself in a lie and when I said I was going to report them to the Federal Trade Commission she became extremely defensive, said she was ending the call and I was not allowed back into the center until she spoke with her boss. I pointed out to her that I have done nothing in this call for such action, she said I was making a threat about going to the National Trade Commission, and I pointed out that I have every right as a consumer to do so, and this is in no way an action worth keeping me from picking up my son. She quickly recanted her statement and apologized about changing her story and that the center had been keeping things from us about concerns coming from the teachers as they were not reporting them, just complaining to one another. Earlier in the day I asked the director to let me see the video of the room where the teacher was claiming my son was trying to find all the sensitive kids in class just to make them cry, which is a very shocking accusation as my son is very loving and kind and plays well with others. In the morning she said she would call the owner about the video, and then when we spoke later in the day she said the camera in his classroom is broken, I asked her if she knew this when we spoke this morning and she said yes, which I pointed out was odd, as she was going to look for it. I asked her how long it has been broken and she said since she had started which had been over 4 months! They never took the time to notice my son was never trying to make kids cry, his favorite toys at the moment are dinosaurs and he likes the pretend like he is a dinosaur. He would go up to the children who would give him a reaction, not knowing he was really scaring them or trying to make them cry. He is only 2 1/2 and they had no idea about any of this. We have since moved our son to Tutor Time where in only one months' time was absolutely flourishing. The teachers instantly noticed he liked to pretend to be a dinosaur and the director said no kid should be labeled and they all have different personality and needs and it is the teachers and the staff's job to figure those needs out and help the child grow. Also, Valley Child Care & Learning Center refused to use a stern voice when redirecting and the assistant director basically told me I was a bad mother for using a stern voice with my son when he is doing something he shouldn't be doing because it hurts his self-esteem. I was very offended by that as my son is one of the happiest children I have seen. But as I explained to them, he is strong willed, when told with a soft voice he doesn't take it seriously or laughs, I explained this would benefit him and she said "That's how you can do it, but we do not do that here." I honestly could go on and on about the awful experience at this school, but to sum it up, GET OUT and STAY AWAY!! My son used to be sad about going to school, especially with their very small classrooms, old toys, small and dangerous playground, and teachers making him feel unwanted. Now he is excited to go to class every day and is learning more in a couple months than he did in a year at Valley Child Care. They use an application on your phone and send updates and pictures throughout the day so you can know what he is doing, learning, eating, potty training etc. The classrooms are large and colorful and they make learning really fun. When I explained to the director of Tutor Time about the stern voice she said there is no issue with that and she has a Master's degree in early childhood and the other school had no degrees. Tutor Time welcomes parents input and will consider what is needed for each individual child. They do not make a huge deal about a toddler boy not sharing or throwing toys, they redirect but do not make us feel like he is a bad kid. Final note: Do not put your children in the care of this place, or take them out immediately! read more

We first started attending VCCLC in 2013 with my daughter for daycare and eventually enrolled our 2nd child when I had to go back to work. It was a very nerve wracking experience to leave my baby with "strangers" but Ms Val was so great! I loved that they provided diapers and all meals/snacks! We had really great experiences with both children back then! My oldest graduated preK here and still talks about all of the fun she had! Our 2nd child is now 4 and we enrolled him in the preK program after a little hiatus from VCCLC. It was amazing to bring him back because so many teachers remembered him from when he was in the infant program! He is now getting to experience everything my oldest did-even with the same teachers! My son Matthew has been attending Valley Learning Center since he was 2. Now 4 years old, I couldn't think of a better place that my son can prepare for Kindergarten. He has learned so much and his vocabulary has expanded so much that my husband and I are shocked he knows so much for his age. We r so proud of him and will definitely credit Valley Learning Center for most of his advancements leading up to Kindergarten. He has made so many friends while there and every night all he talks about is how he cannot wait to go to school tomorrow. The teachers there are great! Nope. So, I started my son planning on an approximate 2 days a week here. His 3rd day, he was bit. It's going to happen with 2 year olds. I was notified and told that I would be receiving an incident report. The next time, his aunt picked him up. She called me and told me that it looked like he had bite marks on his wrist. I went to get him and he was starting to swell. The teachers had said nothing to her. I went to the school and no one even knew he was bit. They took no responsibility saying that he must not have cried. I will post pictures, but the bite marks were so deep I would have cried. Obviously, there was no disinfection or documentation. To make it worse, there was no documentation from when he was bit the first time. They kept trying to tell me that it's natural for 2 yr olds to bite. I am not worried about what the 2 yr old did. I'm worried about what the adults did not do! No accountability. I don't care about the state laws on ratios- there are too many kids in the room (17 I found out later) for the 2 teachers. It is not safe. I am disgusted at their responses to a concerned mother. read more

Tried this place based on fellow employees that brought their children here. I liked the fact that we weren't paying for days that our children weren't attending. It was also nice that food and diapers were provided as well. However, based on how my children were cared for, doesn't make up for these perks. The class ratios were typically high. My baby wasn't being cared for on the level that I would have hoped. His head was becoming flatter with each day he spent here. When we picked him up, his onesie would be so covered in spit up/drool that is was hardened and white. He also managed to pick up pink eye which then spread to the rest of our family. We quickly started dreading dropping our children off because the lack of care was concerning. My four year old would tell me that her teacher would let her watch movies on her phone. She also picked up saying "what the hell" which she learned from her teacher. She was spit on by a classmate and when she told the teacher, they did nothing. We've dealt with strep multiple times now since bringing her here which was never an issue at our prior care center. She hadn't been sick in a year and a half until attending this center. Cleanliness is a big concern for me and it wasn't apparent here which really bothered me. I'm sure this only encouraged the spread of germs. On one occasion when I picked up my daughter, there was a pile of dirt laying on the classroom floor with kids playing in it. Overall, I'm glad we found new childcare because this place is not somewhere I felt comfortable leaving my children. read more

Don't send your child here. My grand child was hit by other kids, the staff just allows it without putting a stop to it. My grand child is filthy when she gets picked up. Children are always crying while staff ignores it. Yes you can save money with drop in rates but if you want good care don't take you child to valley learning center. read more

I love this school. They are so good to my children. The teachers are so patient and polite. I love that they focus on teaching life-lessons. The things our kids will need for the rest of their life, whether it is sharing, playing well with others or handling a situation when someone does something you do not like. My son told me yesterday that we walk away when someone is being mean. It was great, at home he wants to agrue with his sister that she is mean. This is such a great place. My daughter is shy and introverted before coming to this place. We had some bad experiences before Valley Child Care and Learning Center in Chandler - but they took care of us and help my little miss grow out of them. She's happy there and refers to the daycare as her "good school" and her "good friends". I couldn't be happier with the teachers, and kids. read more

I will have to agree with Sharon M. regarding how great the teachers are at the school. They are all involved with the children's learning and interact very well with the children. However, it's only the administrative team I don't think is the best. In the 5-months that my child attended this center I had inquired three different times regarding my child's change in classes (to Pre-K). Each time I received an "I don't know" from the front office staff. I also inquired about receiving any progress reports or information regarding my child's development, the answer I received was that they usually do those once a year prior to the standard school year beginning. This exercise never took place, instead we walked into his class one day to be told, "Oh...your child is in a different room now". My child was left confused and scared go into a new room with new children and a new teacher. That day was the first and only day he did not want to stay in school. Obviously unhappy with the lack of organization, I went to discuss this issue with the front office staff. I asked what was going on as well as where I should expect to take my child for future days. I was told, "Well, we're trying him out in this class. If he doesn't work out, we'll try another class." This response, along without receiving further explanation, was not acceptable to me. This incident probed that day to be my child's last morning (I didn't even want to finish out the day) at that child care center. Another incident was when I had arrived 2 minutes past 6pm (when the center is closed, yes I did call to inform the staff of my tardiness) to pick up my child due to traffic issues. I walked in to find my child, along with 4 others, left to sit and wait in a small room with a seating space of about 4x4 area until the other parents arrived. They did not have anything to occupy them during their wait just to sit and continue to be sternly instructed "be quite and just wait". Upon arrival I apologized more than once only to receive a smirk and silence in response. I have no idea how long the children were in that small area. I did have a tour ask me what I thought of the facility and I chose to comment at a later time giving them my business card. I'm not trying to be vindictive and I'm sure a lot of other experiences will differ, but I wouldn't suggest this facility to others. read more

My son attended Valley child care for about 6 months. He does need a little more attention as he has special needs that the teachers and director were informed of the day we toured. They should of told me that day it would be a problem because clearly they are not trained to deal with any type of special need.! They would let him sleep till 3:30/4pm because they did not want to deal with him. They have lost at least two blankets(with his initials on it) I was told "they did not have enough staff to tend to him or chase him out of the classroom when he runs" My thought was, Why are you letting a two year old get the door open in the first place.? I was getting phone calls 1 hour after dropping him off that I need to come back and pick him up as soon as possible because he keeps running out of the class. Besides the 1 teacher my son did LOVE (Thank you Toni for always being there for him!!) The other classroom teachers are only there for a paycheck, they do not care about our kids... Maybe if they didn't switch teachers around so much it would give them and the kids time to form bonds and have a better experience... Do not take your children here! I picked up my one year old yesterday around 4 pm. The teachers were bringing them inside from playing outside. Normally I wouldn't mind this. However it was 55 degrees and rainy outside, and none of the babies had jackets on!!! My daughter was crying and the teacher said oh its because she didn't want to come inside. I picked her up and she was freezing cold! It took me over an hour to warm her back up! I asked her where my daughter's jacket was and she said oh let me find it. How do you not put her jacket in her cubby which has her name on it? She comes back with her jacket that she had worn the day before, I asked for the one she had on that morning and she had no idea where it was. Completely irritated and angry I said whatever and just left. I asked the girl at the front desk if it was normal for them to take the children outside without jackets on. She replied well it depends on the weather. I looked her straight in the face and said it is 55 degrees and rainy outside right now. All she had to say was oh OK I'll talk to her about it. My daughter was already getting over an ear infection and I had to take her to the emergency room last night because of how bad she felt. She was getting better until I took her there. She only went there for 2 days and I refuse to take her back. Please do yourself and your babies a favor and DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

My daughter, Arya, LOVES her teachers! She can be quite a little princess, but her teachers are very good about engaging her as I drop her off so that she doesn't make a fuss. She has really connected with them. I love the curriculum too. There is never a dull moment in her class. It seems like whenever I drop her off they are learning something, singing songs, playing outside, doing artwork, etc. It is amazing how organized her 1 year-old classroom teachers are. They never miss a beat. They are sooo good at redirecting all of the children and getting them to participate. This center is affordable and flexible. Valley is a wonderful place to drop my children off each day. When you enter there's an excitement in the air as the kids greet their friends and the teachers prepare the daily curriculum. As a working parent, I require full time daycare, but I also wanted to have a place where my 2 sons (ages 4.5 and 2) were engaged in an age-appropriate curriculum. Both children have attended since infancy and have been nurtured by wonderful teachers through everything from cup drinking, potty training, letters, numbers and life skills like sharing and empathy. My kids attend extra curricular classes as well such as Snack Attack and Tumble Town and I'm regularly pleased by the curriculum offered. A monthly theme allows for teachers and kids to explore new things. The food is also fantastic. The lunch provided and cooked in house is not only nutritious and well balanced but diverse! I would recommend this center to anyone looking for learning through play opportunities, full time care, and a wonderful and caring staff. read more
