Alright y'all. So, another late night with my girls on West 7th ended at this taco stand and I must say that I'm so glad we went here. Besides the fact that we were hungry, this taco stand offered amazing street tacos that we're tasty and cheap! Double win! My friends and I ended up having the chicken taco, breakfast taco with bacon and the chicken quesadilla which were all delicious. The quesadillas were a little pricey but it was a rather large serving and quite delicious, so definitely worth it. The food is prepared pretty quickly and definitely worth the wait. I LOVE food trucks specially when they have good quality and flavor. No doubt that here everything is totally fresh and from scratch. This Mexican food truck has a nice menu with good options to choose. From tacos, burritos, bowls, tortas and more, you named it. I had the suadero taco and the Texan. Both of them were delicious however the suadero was as appealing, in my opinion too greasy and no so much meat. Oh and no need to worry about the portions like most places, they won't play with your stomach. Service here is really good for the most. It can get crowded on weekends but in my opinion totally worth the wait. Overall: a must try. Looking forward to try more of the menu. read more

Chile Pepper Grill really puts a good front up for what it has to offer. They talk about specializing in regional Mexican cooking, but I have had some bomb grub based around that large piece of land South of the Border. Furthermore, they are cranking out tacos, which, nowadays, seem to necessitate some unique sauces or fried goodies. They are cranking out Mexican street tacos, but they are subpar, to say the least. The tacos boast nothing more than some mediocre, overcooked meat and a heavy hand of cilantro and onion, so as to make the taco look presentable. I am taking up numerous lines because tacos are so intrinsic in the idea of trailer hopping. The chicken tasted like a game meat, the beef was extremely underseasoned... and the tortillas were crumbly. Not in a good way. I don't think they were homemade. If you are going to offer mediocre meat, you gotta make your tortillas from hand, man. Maybe I just had a bad experience. Perhaps there are some items that may boast a bit more character and truly represent what they are trying to do here... As for me, I will not return unless summoned upon. There are far too many more prestigious joints around to grab a bite. read more

This is a tasty spot for some cheap and satisfying late night eats! They don't open Mondays or Tuesdays which is a bummer, but on any other day, they're ready for business from 7:30 all the way past midnight. They have meat options that you don't always see at other taco places such as lengua and tripas. I really enjoyed their asada street tacos but my favorite was the tripas, no contest. Crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside, they were cooked perfectly. You can't turn down these tacos when they're under $2 each! The salsas they have available are noticeably spicy if you're looking for that extra kick. Being a food stand, they don't have the best parking or seating arrangements, but the quality and value of their food are definitely worth checking out. read more

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing because my friend spoke about this place as if it was Heaven. I got a barbacoa quesadilla. The quesadilla itself was lacking in flavor. The verde sauce they give you saved the day for that quesadilla. I'm open to giving it another try. read more

I've been south of the border a few times. This is pretty close to authentic without being to bland to offend american tastes. I think the meat is pretty well seasoned and not over cooked. They do make their own tortillas. I've seen them. This place is outside wired willy's and the golden standard. Its across the street from Pour house. Personally I think the price for these tacos is not that bad. $1.75 a taco is pretty good considering that taco head sells them for $2.50 and they are not half as good. It's always fresh, not too greasy, and the spicy sauce is one of my favorites. The only thing I wish they offered is grilled jalapenos. Stumbled across this truck after a drink down the street. I looove street tacos so I was thrilled. Having recently eaten at Torchy's, I was happy to see their prices were more in line with a taco starting at $1.75 each. Suadero was a perfect palm sized succulent couple bites. Moist tender flavor bursting bites. One of the pricier fusion tacos that had bacon was a bit salty and not exciting, but the little brisket taco was awesome. Cool looking food truck and decent prices for street tacos. I've heard good things about this place so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the lengua taco and the tripas taco. I don't know if it was an off day or what, but my tripas taco was too salty! The texture was there, but a little too salty to my liking. The lengua was good though. Very tender and flavorful. Modern Mexican maybe, authentic? Not at all. The only good thing about this place was the tortilla. Barbacoa was very under seasoned. Pastor was just flavorless. Tripas were way too saggy. The worst I think was the carnitas, it was like putting a melted piece of lard in a tortilla. I love greasy tacos, but this one was just awful, no flavor, no texture, just grease, authentic carnitas do not even look like that. Sauces tested like water and tomato mixed in, no salt, no pepper, no spice. I guess if you're drunk after the bars this might be the best taco, but not if you go sober. read more

My first time having street tacos and it was a religious experience!! The price was decent and the tortillas were toasted to perfection; just enough to where the outside was crispy but to where it was able to keep the filling nestled perfectly so you can enjoy the rest of it. What I got were the Barbacoa (my absolute favorite meat anywhere), Carnitas and the Lengua (Beef tongue). It was actually my first Lengua taco period but it was amazing! Order it was avocado and sour cream! The chef serves it to you in a tray that's already wrapped up and ready to go if you plan on taking it home to enjoy. But they do also have seating for those who just want to dig in. They also serve the tacos with what I believe is homemade verde and red sauce. Slap both on and you're set. The meat is always tender and juicy and don't even bother worrying about getting your hands dirty; it comes with eating street tacos sometimes. Plus it's worth it here!! And you want a more neat option, you can always grab a bowl; which I recommend getting with barbacoa! read more

My favorite tacos in all of Fort Worth. Usually, I get 3 street tacos and pay only $5. Also, their barbacoa is the best barbacoa I've ever had. I think I crave it almost every week. I also like how they have lingua and tripe too, which are not sold at other places. Their hot sauces are also really good, although the red one is pretty hot. It's NOT just for 'drunk food' even though their hours are late! Seriously, the food here is GREAT. The only meat I dislike here is the brisket, and that's just because everything else is so much better. I've had everything on the menu, probably at least a few times now.
