In business everyone is trying to survive. Loyal customers have followed you around from location to location. Yet your policies don't reflect that appreciation, in my opinion. You're trying to offer a membership.. the deal is not great. Most ppl don't tan every month, all year. $30 bucks a month is steep for a weak discounted tan plan that customers still have to shell out money for a "membership." The cancellation policy is a huge problem as well. You should absolutely let ppl reschedule if an appt can't be kept for illness, or funeral. I came down with a serious illness & she kept my whole payment. So unreasonable. I get you want to fill your appts, but that's just crazy. Would you rather ppl come sick & get your staff sick? You should charge $10 fee, providing they commit to a reschedule at the time of cancellation and stick to it. If they don't immediately book a reschedule, then keep their money. So u know you're getting paid, but that also shows that you're reasonable & you understand some things can't be helped. So many ppl have lost a lot of money over this & it's left a lasting negative impression that I've heard more than once. You're not the only business who has to feather their policies between themselves, and fairness to the customer. Is it worth the reputation of your business? Part of it is just the nature of business in general.. seems you expect perfection and it's simply unreasonable.

They offer a ton of add on services that look interesting, but they're definitely not going to try and upsell you just to upsell you. I had actually elected for an add on treatment here and there, but when I went in and began the consultation portion of my appointment, my esthetician took a look at my skin and told me that they actually wouldn't recommend that add on and gave me the reasons why it wouldn't benefit me the best, which I really thoroughly appreciated! Ulta sends a birthday email on the 1st day of the month showing a list of all the birthday items you can choose from to then not have them available in the store and cashier says "They go fast." Its the 4th of August! She then says we should request it online to get the one we want. She then says they get a 3mo supply and most were gone at the end of July. Nothing special about this birthday gift promo. Walked away with the tiniest sample of a liquid blush. It took more gas and time than what this birthday gift and store experience was worth. If by the 4th day of a birthday month, the inventory is that low and I receive whatever is left, I won't bother with it. I think its time to change the process.
