I'm sharing this because I believe customers should know what can happen behind the scenes of a business they choose to support. I was scheduled only 2-3 days a week for about 4-5 hours per shift. Much of my training consisted of tests through an app that I only had the opportunity to complete a few times. I was ultimately let go because I hadn't learned the difference between UVA and UVB rays quickly enough. I understand the importance of knowing the information required for the job, but I don't feel I was given enough opportunity to practice, review, or improve before being judged on how quickly I learned it. I was putting effort into my job, showing up for my shifts and completing the work I was asked to do, including cleaning the tanning beds and other physical duties. I was also upfront that I personally did not want to use UV tanning beds and preferred spray tanning and red-light therapy. I can't say whether that influenced my termination, but it did make me question whether I was given a fair opportunity. What bothered me most was the lack of consideration and professionalism. My father had just been diagnosed with kidney cancer, and management knew because I was crying at work after finding out and spoke with one of the managers. I still stayed and finished my shift that day. Despite knowing what I was dealing with, I never felt anyone checked in or considered whether something outside of work was affecting me. I was ultimately let go while my father was undergoing surgery to remove his cancerous kidney, and I was terminated in the front of the store in front of other employees rather than being spoken to privately. I found the way this was handled extremely embarrassing and unprofessional. I'm not reviewing this because I want my job back or disagree with businesses having standards. I'm reviewing it because how a business treats its employees matters, and customers deserve to know what is happening behind the scenes of the businesses they support. For a business that has been around for years, I expected a much higher level of professionalism, communication, training, and respect toward employees. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

The technicians were super kind, but the quality of this tan was TERRIBLE. for $70 I expected to look like a bronze goddess and felt like patchy bitch and I left looking the same as i came in when i asked for the darkest shade range and to top it all off your tan rubbed off on my $200 white prom dress. Mind you i followed all the after care instructions have moisturize religiously and was tanned 3 days before my prom to avoid any issues. The website is awesome; you can book an appointment on there directly and the business is very thorough with giving you directions both to the business, directions for how to prep for your tan, what to bring to your appointment, and after care. They also email you this information. The ladies here are so nice and efficient at what they do. Both times I have opted in for a moisture locking add on which prolongs my tan. I loved my tan color both times and the color lasted several days without fading or becoming blotchy. I am certainly looking forward to returning here the next time I need a glow for an event!

Because of this, I needed time between sessions to monitor how my skin reacted to the UV exposure. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that my sessions had a 10-day expiration window ending on April 27. During that time, I experienced significant burning with the level 5 UV, and I had hoped to try the level 6 session I still had remaining to see if it would produce a similar reaction. Given the circumstances, I'd really appreciate the opportunity to use my final session rather than letting it go to waste.
