I try to look at the positives normally. But unfortunately the only positive I can think of is we sat down right away. It took forever to get our food. Nobody refills the water we were drinking. No busboys around to clear tables of dirty dishes. My aunt had to drink her tea ( because they have no decaf coffee) surrounded by all of our dirty dishes and utensils. Our salads were over dressed, soggy, stale tortillas, over ripe black spotted avocado in salad. We saw the waitress twice, she sat on the bar side socializing. We never got a check and had to ask guy at the door to help us. Ladies bathroom had two toilets, one didn't flush. Paper towel dispenser broken. Sink cracked. The entire place is run down, employees do not know what to do in order to serve the few clients there. Neglectful, unprofessional, stale, stagnant, not clean, food was bad. We used to here and it was good, but something is wrong there now. Won't be back. It's really annoying to be waited on in your work uniform where others can see that you clearly work at a restaurant and get bad service. We sat in our booth with no one attending us for about 10 mins right next to the host stand and not even the host noticed we hadn't been greeted.. my fiancée had to say something before we were finally noticed. We sat for over an hour and only seen our waiter twice. Once to take our drink order and another time to get out food order.. my order came out wrong so I told the food runner what I needed to correct it.. only came back with half my request.. my fiancée sits with an empty glass with nothing to drink with her meal and my grandmother was missing an item from her meal as well. Service needs to get better here because the food is good but the service will drive people like me away.. my go-to is the Edison location and I guess I'll keep it that way. read more

We have walked out of here more than we have stayed. While they advertise their happy hour and football specials, most often there is no bartender and very few service staff on the floor. We go in and sit at the bar, and someone might come by and tell us they will be right back. We have a 10 minute window. If we don't get served in 10 minutes, we leave. When we have been lucky enough to get served, we have had few problems with the food. The one that happens the most is that the fries have an aftertaste, like they have been refried multiple times -- and often they aren't hot either. There are better choices. read more

I've been going to the same chilis since I've been a kid but with this new management they have everything has been down hill. They gave me a salad that was barely filled, no server came to check up on me when I received my appetizer. I've worked in the restaurant industry so I know the steps of service. Clearly no one here does. I had to flag a manager down to complain about my salad she had the audacity to say the past years I was here they just been "overdoing " the salads. The food okay but the service is horrible even when you sit at the bar. You expect a bartender to walk up and down the bar checking on everyone and then making drink for the tables but not here they make sure all the tables are set before checking on the bar and they have one person. Your place would be packed if you gave a shit about anything. Everyday at happy hour that place should be loud with people talking having fun but no it was quiet in there. Everyone looked depressed. And the bartender should be telling you about the specials they are running at the time not barely speaking and so low you cant even hear him. I am sure he was trying... maybe but the place should be closing soon if it keeps going like the other day. I will never be going back there again. Ever and I will make sure to let people know. I have been going to this location for many years and have seen so many changes. This last visit it all came together. We were seated quickly, the server was pleasant and very attentive. There is no quality check and the service here is beyond bad. We order two simple salads last night, neither came with the extra dressing we paid for. There was no quesadilla in the quesadilla salad, and when we called to say we were coming back the manager, who by the way had no manners and made no gave no apology for this very common slip up. Yes it's a Chili's, yes it's not fine cuisine, yes I know it's a chain and I'm giving it five stars. For all that Chili's is, this spot is consistent and has some great service. There are so many great waiters at this location and the service is consistently good. The food is pretty good, especially their Mexican dishes, try their chicken and shrimp fajitas! They swap out the menu seasonally but keep classic items on all the time. They switch out some appetizers, entrees, and desserts every so often and the food is good. It's sort of like comfort food here and it's a comfortable spot to go sit and relax in while chowing down on some delicious food. The drinks here are pretty great as well. Who can beat $5 presidente margaritas? They are strong and tasty! Happy hour specials and always rolling out coupons and deals online as well. Plenti card members get emails and discounts sent to use here. I hadn't had one of their molten lava cakes until a few years ago and I'm pretty hooked now. I've tried all of the different variants but the original is the way to go. Such a delicious dessert. I've even come here just to get that! I love Chilli's! I think it's a great bang for your buck and the two happy hours are pretty cool. The manager is awesome. She is v very friendly, she knows the menu well, remembers her guest by name and is just overall Awesome. The waitstaff tonight upset me to the fullest. He seemed high bc he was moving so slow, was totally not interested in waiting tables tonight. I find that service wise this Chillis in Clark NJ is hit or miss and it's usually a miss when the manager isn't there. A classic community restaurant. Have been going to this location for basically my whole life! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. It's awesome going back and seeing staff that ya been working their for a while. Everyone knows what they are doing and it's super organized. Like all restaurants when they are busy relax they haven't forgotten about you, just might have to ask for a refill as opposed to when it's quieter and they have a refill before you're even half way done. I've been a long time fan of chili's. Ike is an exceptional server and we love dining with him. However on 4/16 we had dinner here (not with our serve Ike). Our food was okay, steaks were over cooked. At the end of the meal we went to pay on the tablets, but we saw it wasn't our order, so we told our servers Kayla and Gabi and they "fixed" our order, we didn't go check it because we trusted that the server fixed it. We paid our check and as we got up to leave Gabi stopped us to ask if we paid and we showed her the email that said we paid and we left. As we were getting into our car they ran out after us yelling at us to come back in because we had paid the wrong bill, after the server "checked" it twice. We proceeded to go back in and asked if we could just pay the difference between the bill we paid (Bill A) and the bill we owed (Bill B). She said yes and charged us the difference (Bill C), but then remembered that she had already cancelled our original bill (Bill A) so we ended up paying (Bill A) a second time. They said our refund for (Bill A) would be refunded from 7-10 business day and did not provide a refund receipt. They provided a receipt for Bill C and wrote their names. I called two weeks ago as our money hadn't been refunded and spoke to a "manager." They took my name down and I explained the situation, he did not believe that we were owed that money and said that he would have to talk to the servers to see what the situation was. I was supposed to get a callback within a couple of days and nothing. Absolutely terrible service from a place we loved going to. read more

Chilli's is just the perfect pick me up spot there always fast and friendly. today my wife and I decided to come in after work and I have never been so happy with the decision to stop in. Our server Yomara was so on point, if you go I definitely would ask to be seated in her area( all the staff is great just fyi ) but she knows the drinks the food and she has a GREAT personality. The manager is still here and her employees always seem to have her great personality almost as if she has raised them all with her polite mannera and warming ways. Chili's is my very own version of The tv show cheers. I always feel welcomed and everyone seems to make my wife and I feel like we are the most important people in the building . I stand and applaud Chili's for just being able to stay consistent in their service . the service industry needs to take a page out of the Chili's playbook because they definitely have the right recipe as far as I am concerned. So we ordered to go.. keep in mind it's pouring out really bad, but I parked at 559pm for my expected 6:02pm pick up. By 6:07pm it's time to go inside, no big deal right? Well foods not ready yet, 2 minutes later it is and I'm on my 20 min drive home. I get home to discover the quest from the chips and queso was not provided. Additional the dressing for my salad is also missing. Temperature for my Cajun pasta is also way to low. Another 20 min drive in flooding rain to get my queso and dressing. With the weakest I'm so sorry about that.. and 20 min drive back.. so now all my food (since lost 40 total minutes) is cold. No way this place is worth it and I'll be writing the same review on yelp. Went to the Chili's in Clark and it was excellent!! The vibe was evident upon entering. The hostess was lovely and accommodating- she even came by the table on more than one occasion to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The waiter was informative, prompt and attentive. The food was served hot and was delicious and the margaritas were mixed masterfully. I did like the following: -Comfy chairs at the bar. -2 for $20 deal (split app and one entree each) I didn't like: -Alcohol is way overpriced for a chain (no specials) -Bar service is sporadic We opted for the chips and quac app (mind you the portions are smaller). It was good and the quac is a bit spicy which I love. For a meal I went with the Bacon Ranch Quesadilla's and my gf decided on the chicken fajita's. Portions were normal sized and they both seemed to hit the spot. Like most chain restaurant meals, food is always saltier.
