It's lunchtime, the place is full, the servers are overworked and the mood of the staff is stressed. There isn't a lot of food places to choose from if you're on a west Texas trek like I am. Went to Chili's with wife and two sisters. The service was good and the waitress prompt. When we went to pay she helped me pay for mine and my wife's meal with card. My two sisters paid cash for theirs. We got up and left and while walking to our car two employees came up to me and said that I was walking out on our bill. I told them what we did and they told me to come back into the restaurant with them. To make a long story short they didn't even ask the waitress if we paid and there I stood looking like I skipped out on my bill in a packed house. To say the least was very embarrassed for everyone looking at me for skipping my bill. We got the waitress that waited on us to come over and she cleared it all up. My husband and I always go to this Chili's as it's the closest to our home, but last week was the last time. We walked in and weren't greeted by any of the waiters. The food at this chilis has become increasingly poor with each visit. The waitstaff needs a kick in the rump. Seems they are more interested in joking around in the kitchen than taking care of their customers. And with the addition of the pads on the tables it gets even less personable. Last time I checked I didn't work there. I don't want to put in my own orders nor do I want to ring up my dinner. That's what I pay for. The last time I checked, when you go to a restaurant you are to be greeted and seated. Then you are greeted by your server and drink orders are taken. Drinks are served and apps or meals are ordered. Food comes and drinks are constantly refilled, and server checks if everyone is happy. Meal ends with server taking your payment and thanking you for your patronage. Not here. You walk in and get ( How many ) not hello. You get seated with ( your server will get to you shortly ) not enjoy your meal or experience. You get ( what can I do for you ) not hi I'm so and so and I'll be your server. Then you wait forever for your drinks and count your lucky stars if you get refilled. Food orders come slowly from the kitchen. No doubt because server did a few other things before putting your order in. Then when meal is over server points to terminal on table and pretty much says do it yourself. Not what I expect when I go to what's supposed to be an upscale restaurant. I have noticed managers change more than you change your socks at this chilis. That should tell you something. read more

I miss the Chili's of the 80's. Went here sat because my mother in law wanted chili. Once we ordered, it took 30 min for our food to arrive (it was between 5-6pm so not that busy) my oldtimer w/cheese came out with no cheese and cold fries-sent it back. The chili came out with cheese (asked for none) waiter started out ok, but was not around much later. The other 2 orders were fine. Not awful, but not great either. read more

I've visited this location a few times and while I love Chili's Bottomless Express Lunch, I need to just get the clue that this location is NOT good at providing the express part of the meal. It took a half hour just to get refills on my salad and soup, mostly because it seems our waitress had more interest in playing with a baby at the table next to us than checking on our table. If you want to have a nice date with your girlfriend go to the bar. Otherwise you'll be subjected to all the terrible parents in the area who don't know how to be good ones. What that means is you'll have kids bouncing up and down on their seats and because the center Furniture is so bad it bounces your chair up and down and you'll end up in a fight with some of the local color parents who don't want to hear that their kid is a brat. Or like tonight you'll have some brat using her plate for a drum beating the hell out of it with her silverware and the terrible mother sitting across from her on her phone oblivious to the fact her kid is ruining the evening for everyone else. We got up and moved and the horrible mother followed us bitching at me because her excuse was her daughter was supposedly deaf although she heard my exclamation clearly, which apparently means it's okay for her to ruin everyone else's evening because the mother is a pathetic excuse for one and doesn't know how to be a proper mother. Parents don't train their kids how to behave in public properly anymore and it's sad. It's the restaurants responsibility to tell them the child needs to behave or they will be asked to leave and Chili's doesn't do this unfortunately so we won't be going back anytime soon. Nothing but conflict because of all the poor parenting from today's generation. If I had behaved like that when I was a kid my parents would have sent me to bed without dinner or I would have gotten a a whipping which is what a bunch of these kids need. Go elsewhere if you want to have a nice evening where you can not be harassed by brats because this place has turned into McDonald's with a playground. Ate there last night and got there "Alex Burger" it's a local menu item, as suggested, brought on by there local chef, "alex" anyway, it was poorly put together, and looked somewhat displeasing to the eye, it tasted ok, but with no class! Poorly put together, some ingredients didn't make it to the burger! A bad over sight for a burger they pride there chef on! Also, I left a 1.00 tip for my waitress l, my daughters suffered through there meal without a refilled drink to consume during the main course. Another child dropped their fork on the floor and she said, "let me get you another" that fork never came! Kinda hard to eat a chicken fried steak without a fork! I heard about this little down home place from a rusty ol' cowfellah outside a 7-11, just like mom used to make. We drove on down and decided to check this little ditty out. We were instantly greeted by a big red chili sign, and I knew we were about to indulge in a culinary experience. Right as we walked in we were greeted by a charming young man, dressed all in black and with a spry attitude and a desire to impress! We sat at the bar and were delighted to learn that at 10PM on Sundays you can get a special signature cocktail called a "Classic Margarita" for only $4! I ordered mine with salt and knew I had a winner! Their menu beheld numerous culinary masterpieces such as the "Fried Cheese" and "Cheesy Potato Skins." Absolutely terrible experience. We frequent this restaurant ALOT. Over the past couple of years, it has went down hill. They currently still have a "few" good servers. The person as the seating host was not ready for that position. After arriving at the location we had 7 total people. The store was a little under half full. Were told that 20+ min wait time. Asked about splitting us up into 2 groups at different tables, and the response was that is "too difficult". Asked about seating in the bar booths that were empty, told that section was closed. They seated 7 parties before us, most of which just walked in without being on said list. Finally after asking for a manager, he seated us immediately. To make things worse, as soon as we were seated, the host seated guests at the bar area booths that were supposedly closed. This person's attitude was terrible, and should not reflect a company like this. There were several other issues, but I am out of space to comment here. read more

Service was great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. To start, I was able to grab a seat at the bar, order a drink and some food pretty quickly. After I got an appetizer I began to smell smoke. I figured the guy next to my just came in from smoking outside. Then I started to see smoke. A group who finished eating all began to light up. The entire experience was terrible, The kitchen absolutely sucked tonight, yet because I used to wait tables in college I still wanted to tip the server because she did not screw up that much. I had a $10 coupon and my ticket was $60 which means I should tip on 70. The little kiosk machine said that to being $14 was only tipping 17%. That's new math. VERY Unhappy with our visit tonight. We live out of town, but the rest of our family lives near by. We rarely get to have meals together and we decided to go to Chili's for dinner. I called the store earlier this morning and asked if it would be a problem to be seated because there were 7 of us. I didn't know if there were any restrictions with COVID-19. I was assured that they had tables large enough to seat us and it wouldn't be a problem. I called and had our name added to the list for a party of 7. When we arrived we were told they were waiting on two tables so they could put them together. They called our name and had us sitting at completely different tables. The lady who was working the front decided to get an attitude when we told her that we had called earlier in the morning and was told we would be seated together. She proceeded to tell me "I don't work mornings and they told you wrong. I am here to fix things and that's what I'm doing. Now here are the two tables for your party to sit at." They weren't even close enough together that we could speak. Had they asked us when I called to put our names on the list or when she had come out to tell us they were waiting for tables, if it was okay for us to be split up, we would not have eaten there. I gave two stars because the food was good and the server was great. However, your hosting staff needs some work. I won't be back anytime soon because she ruined our family dinner. read more

SUCKS. absolutely SUCKS. service SUCKED. food SUCKED. we go to chili's in denton all the time. i had to go outside and read the sign to make sure we were actually in a chili's. we were seated WAY far away from the rest of the people. perhaps because i am not white? we had to wait forever for someone to take our order. and forever for our food to arrive. it was WAY too salty. i have ordered the same tacos in the denton restaurant, and they are excellent. maybe they had "special sauce"? all they did was drop our food off, then they left. except one of the servers sat down at a table next to us, and was eating her lunch. i know she heard our comments. i would give this place no stars. read more
