A friend from out of town was visiting from the west coast where they don't have a chilis close by. She insisted on the trending platter. Once there, the expectations were crazy and craving the anticipation. Once the platter hit our table, we were sorely disappointed, everything was terrible, equivalent to a cheap frozen box of apps you get at a small supermarket. We didn't finish any of them but brought them home for other members of our family who may like them for snacking later on. Everyone in our party had diarrhea an hour later. A member of our family had some leftovers and had the slider, an hour later he had diarrhea. We were going to complain and go back to speak to someone but what's the point? It'll cost more to go there in gas round trip. All we could do is help them to warn others of our experience, isn't that what Yelp is about? Chili's restaurant chain has always been a favorite of mine. Some locations are better than others but Commack/E.Northport location is always consistently good in my opinion. During happy hours, it's never really crowded and I'm usually able to grab a booth or quick seat at the bar without a wait but weekends after 8 pm is a bit busier because of the AMC movies crowd. Typically I get the same dinner items and each time, it's always prepared perfectly! Regular mozzarella sticks - perfectly breaded with a great Gooey cheese pull Chicken crispers combo with Ribs is my absolute favorite. I usually don't like bbq sauce but theirs is soooo good. Ribs have a good amount of meat and the chicken is fried crisp and juicy. The original trio Fajitas (shrimp, chicken and steak) are surprisingly better than some traditional Mexican restaurants. All three meats are seasoned and tender! They raised the prices a bit but still affordable and they have some great menu deals! I'm sad they got rid of the 2 f'ers drink specials but as long as the food is consistently good, I'll give them a pass lol read more

Another fabulous time at this Chili's location. We have had the pleasure of having Justin as our server a few times but when we've had other areas and servers , the service has always been top notch. This is a great chain restaurant for just sitting back and enjoying life, it's very welcoming. You can't beat a place that has a two for one happy hour with pretty much all of the beers that they serve. Happy hour is all week! That's awesome in itself. Absolutely disgusted with the unprofessionalism of this establishment...After waiting 45+ minutes for a table (ummmm ridiculous) we were finally seated, 8 people total. Small mistake from a member of our party, he said 7 people instead of 8. Once all seated we were harshly denied food and told that only 7 people can sit at this table (making a big deal out of nothing smh). They said we would have to be put at the of the waitlist again!!! Meaning we would have to wait another 45 minutes! Are you kidding me?!?! We decided to take our talents to millers ale house instead. @Chili's you just lost 8 hungry and valuable customers!!!! I also got a tortilla soup which wasn't as good, but that's just my taste preference. The place is usually pretty clean. The last time I went to Chili's about a year and a half ago it was meh. This time it was just plain awful. The food was just tasteless and overly fried. The menu consisted of cheap fried food at higher than cheap fried food prices. My son said his meal was over fried and tasteless. They did away with the white queso which was one of the things we really liked there. We used to really like their tortilla chips, this time the chips were so thin every time you dipped your chip you lost half of it in the queso or guac. I enoyed Chili's in the days when it was mostly tex-mex type food. The only redeeming quality of this restaurant was the people. The service was very quick and attentive. Unfortunately, I learned a $75 lesson that should have cost me $30. I'll never be going back to Chili's. Sorry Chili's you lost another customer. I am very disgusted. I order from this location all the time through take-out, or even just to dine in. I've had no problems before.. until now. Ive recently (December 13th) ordered the crispy chicken tender combo with french fries and broccoli. And today (December 15th) I was going to eat my left overs for dinner... as I was looking through my food I see something odd. As im looking at it more clearly.. i figured out it was a fried Bee in my food. Yes. A fried bee. I am highly disappointed and disgusted. I just wanted to enjoy my leftovers for my dinner. I regularly go to the AMC right round the corner from this place and had no idea they existed. I figured I'd try the Three for Me special. Comes with a fairly decent cheeseburger, a humongous amount of taco chips, a side---which in my case was the "loaded" mashed potatoes---and a drink. As I said the cheeseburger was decent and the taco chips came out in a huge bag with salsa. They did give me a lot of those. The mashed potatoes left much to be desired. The major problem is there isn't bacon on them. It's that fake bacon. And they didn't give me a drink at all. That I didn't find out until I got home. Has got to be the worst service and food I've ever experienced. First the lemonade tea tasted like dish water. Serving sizes are hilariously small. Restaurant is always empty. WOW! IS all I will say. I was here for dinner a few weeks ago and had a bad experience w my food. Under cooked burger and overcooked fries. Bella fixed everything right away. But this is not the reason for my review. At my last visit, Bella and I were talking about our love for Xmas and she shared w. me that they were hosting a paint and sip night to raise money for St. Jude's. Lo and behold, we came tonight and it was such a magnificent experience. She actually ended up being the one that served us again. We had a blast!! Everyone has eaten at a Chili's at some point in their life. And gosh darnit, I don't know what it is. but I've been here four times in the past two months. The reason I used to come here back in the day as a broke college kid was for the 2fers - two for one all day, every day. Yay! And that includes stuff like Sam Adams and Blue Moon. Are you going to get super crafty beer? No. Pumpkin beer? Negative. Watered down and too sugary sweet margaritas? Yes. But I'm a Blue Moon kinda gal many days, so it's cool with me. Though on my most recent visit they were out (boo). I miss the days of the bottomless tostada chips for $1.50. Now it's about $3.00. I mean, there really aren't any healthy appetizers here - everything is deep fried. But it's a chain restaurant, beer, TV's, friends, families, I get it. Then why rate it a 4? Honestly - it's a cheap meal, the food is decent and 2fers! They have a 2 for $20 deal that has some healthy options so that's good. Last time I was here I got the avocado burger black bean style, and added buffalo sauce (since I need to spice everything up) with mashed instead of fries (a typical Mandi maneuver). The mashed weren't as good this time, but the black bean burger with Swiss and avocado with the hot sauce on a whole wheat bun - yum. Not bad at all. Better than your average Morningstar Farms variety from the grocery store, and at $8.79, not a bad deal at all. The boy had the grilled chicken margarita style, which is served over black beans and rice and he finished his plate, not a morsel left. The Sam's winter ale (currently on tap) was decent too - and served in a cold frosty mug. The service was also decent, and was the other times I came here as well. I like this place better than Applebee's, but I think it might be a tie between here and Friday's - pretty much on par with one another. I've had the grilled chicken here too and it was good. Nothing too much to complain about, really - other than maybe get at least one healthy app Chili's! Also, sometimes you wait a bit to get your food, but nothing else to really gripe about. read more

Great service. I sat at the bar. Went in for the first time today on a Saturday afternoon. Clean, relaxing location. I ordered the Hennessy margarita which was great. I got the triple dipper: big mouth bites (little too salty and lacked flavor, but wasn't the worse--still edible; cheese bites (also too salty-- would've been great if it wasn't for the salt overdose, and then there were the boneless buffalo chicken which was good for the chili's version.
