Been a few years since I was last here. The food is consistent and delicious. Met up with a friend who I hadn't seen in a while so we had A LOT of catching up to do! Soooo you know what that means!!!! MARGARITAS! Here is what we ordered: - fried calamari: deep fried calamari. Served with homemade Saratoga and tampiquena sauce - guacamole al molcajete: freshly made in front of you! Avocados, tomatoes, onions, lime, and cilantro. Served with tortilla chips and salsa - pollo margaritas: chicken on bone, marinated in their secret recipe. Then fried and baked with white wine, lemon, garlic, and cilantro. Served with rice and black beans - Margarita's Skillet: grilled and seasoned shell steak, pork chop, skirt steak and chicken, topped with cebollas. Served in a sizzling skillet with rice, black beans and flour tortilla - pitcher of Specialty Margarita We wanted to order a bunch since we had a ton of catching up to do. It was a great night with great food!

I'm not sure why but it's been a while since my husband and I returned to this beautiful, clean, chic establishment . We are so pleased that we decided to visit for a late lunch. The staff is lovely and always pleasant. We were so delighted to have meet sweet adorable Crystal while we sat at the bar. Crystal is very personable, welcoming and a very hard working young lady. An absolute breath of fresh air and truly an asset to your restaurant. We ordered a tasty empanada appetizer, refreshing cocktails and chicken skewers. Everything was amazing and we were 100 % satisfied. I was always impressed with their specials, here's some examples to choose from - Tapas menu at bar only Lunch special Mon -Fri $8.95 Monday dinner specials for $24.95 Tuesday is beer or house margarita $2.95 after 4pm Wednesday 2 for $25 chicken or beef fajtas. From 11:30 am to 10 pm you may order to pick up or delivery from DoorDash, Ubereats and Grubhub. Team members follow the CDC quidelines for workplaces regarding Covid-19. Safety and health are very important and practiced by staying 6 feet from others, wearing face coverings, handwashing, sanitizing and disinfecting. I highly recommend. We had a nice experience and look foward to our next visit. Thank you!

Very attentive, the best guacamole I have ever had. Raspberry Coconut Margaritas were amazing! I will be returning!

    Steak enchiladas

This was our first time back since the restaurant reopened. We ordered the steak enchiladas and chicken chimichangas. Our food was amazing. Our waitress was great. I don't remember her name. She recommended the pr punch and Caribbean drinks for us and we loved them. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. They play nice music. Definitely a good spot.

Awesome and authentic mexican food and some great gluten free and vegan or vegetarian faire the cheese and etc can be left out. Very well done and prepared. My sides (rice and refried beans) could have been a lot hotter but not too bad. We will be back nice work! The misic trio were also very entertaining and not too loud, fairly good musicians.

Different but a must try. We ordered the carne asada, ahi tuna, jerk shrimp and the Baja fish tacos. The jerk shrimp and the carne asada were the stars. Shrimp was sweet and spicy and the carne asada melts in your mouth. The ahi was our least favorite, but the baja was pretty good as well. Great place overall

I ordered a margarita and it was great, not too sweet and the right amount of alcohol. All the food we ordered was tasty and cooked well. My kids loved the Baja fish tacos (didn't get a pic) and I especially liked the carnita taco. Highly recommend that you make a stop if you're in the area for friendly service and easy, tasty food.

But if that isn't available, you have to find a spot in the lot and then find the inconvenient sign with a QR code at a $1/hour. The bar was busy when we arrived. We were seated at a table near the windows and were able to see the amazing sunset, as well as the ferry, which both arrived and departed several times during our meal. Our server was Destiny, who was very nice and did her job well. We had ordered some cocktails which took a very long time because there was only 1 bartender attending to the crowd. As for appetizers, we chose the mozzarella steak, the garlic and herb mussels and the cauliflower bites. All were served beautifully and tasted good as well. We also asked for bread and a loaf was served warm with olive oil and a half WELL roasted garlic bulb (most likely used for decoration) but it should have been roasted a lot less for it to be used as a spread. Dinner was the steak frites, twin lobster tails and golden glaze salmon. The steak was served with a salsa verde, the lobster was accompanied by a small gravy boat of drawn butter, a half corn cob and 4 roasted baby potatoes. The salmon, was my dish and was crispy and tasty, served over broccolini stalks and purple forbidden rice. Dessert took a while to come out and we were worried that we wouldn't get back to our car for the expiration of our time. It worked out. 2 of us ordered chocolate cake and I had the cheesecake. The portions were huge! I think what took so long was that they had to open up a new cake because 1 slice was warm and fudgy, while the other was more solid and dense. Not a problem, still delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

My cosmopolitan was delicious as was our fried calamari. My penne a la vodka lacked some taste. I normally like it when it's a little sweeter. I saw it at another and had to ask our waiter for one. The chocolate cake was fine. I feel like this restaurant changes around a lot. Glad I got to eat here.

The restaurant was packed, but people were also finishing up their meals so we gave it a shot. We were able to sit outside and the outside dining area was set up really nice and comfortable with bistro lighting and even some potted palm trees. Felt more like San Diego than Port Jefferson. Inside was also tastefully done up in the nautical theme which is good to know if it's a rainy day or in the colder weather. I've read some reviews about the service and we had the exact opposite with super attentive service. Our server, Brianna came over right away and took our order in no time. I mentioned doing a dish gluten free and she asked if I had celiac. She went above and beyond making sure that my meal would be safe to eat and offered substitutions so there would be no cross contamination. I've had the condition for 18 years so I know pretty well what I can tolerate and that most places let you down and I just deal with it. That wasn't the case at all here and Brianna made sure of it. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip and this was one of the best versions I ever had. Like in the top 3 really and one the other two was home made. It was that good. I had plenty of carrots and celery to nosh on with the dip and they kept the bread on a separate plate altogether. Like I said, they really understood my condition I also had bariatric surgery back in the winter and I'm slowly venturing out in the world of solid food. So I picked the surf and turf steak and lobster sandwich. I figured I know I can handle steak if done right and I wouldn't be too bummed if I couldn't tolerate the lobster. Brianna had it served to me on a really good gluten free bun. This sandwich really worked out so much better than I thought it would. The steak was exactly to order and the lobster was super tender. I was only able to have maybe a fifth to a quarter of it. That's equally because that's all I can physically have these days and because the sandwich was beyond huge. The rest of the family's choices were home runs too and included a killer wedge salad, a perfectly cooked burger and salmon. Those were devoured so no complaints with those as well. It should be noted by the reactions by everyone at the adjacent tables were having a very similar experience and it was just a really enjoyable time. Our family is getting older (aren't we all), so diners and moments like this are so special. Castaways definitely held up its end of the bargain. I'm so glad we stopped in, and I can't wait to stop back the next time we're down port.

What an amazing place, they made our night perfect! The service was impeccable, the bus boy so attentive my husband gave him a $5 tip at the end of dinner. To start, you are served some toasted buttery like pieces of bread with hummus. I do not like hummus but my husband said it was the best he's ever had! They did bring me plain bread with homemade butter which was delicious! I chose the chicken spring rolls that came with a mango type sipping sauce as my appetizer. Outstanding, I can't say enough about how delicious the spring rolls are. Filled to the brim with a filling loaded with chicken! I was so tempted to order another serving but I wanted to save room for dinner. I absolutely will next time! Unlike many restaurants, at Fifth Season,, you can choose other side dishes if you're not happy with what your dish is served with as noted on the menu! I wanted the chicken but chose the coconut rice and organic carrots as my sides instead and I have to say, its a MUST for you to try as well. The flavor of each is so perfect, the rice is like a risotto consistency but hard to explain. Just trust me on this, over the top delicious! The chicken was very tasty and flavorful, just needed a little more sauce (that's my liking though! I love lots of extra sauce on my food), but I highly recommend trying this dish! We did not order dessert, my family wanted to get some ice cream in town but I will try dessert next time. The Fifth Season is now in the top five favorite restaurants for me! Unfortunately, I'll have to wait for a weekend to dine there again as I wouldn't make it home in time for during the week but I plan on returning very soon! This is a restaurant to absolutely add to your bucket list! I seriously can't rave enough about it!

I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. The cheesecake I ordered, it was also just a standard dessert. I didn't finish the fish or my dessert. Review is over, Fifth Season Restaurant? See you in another 5 years.

He really tried to make sure I had a good experience and invited me back to enjoy the dining room atmosphere. Because of his excellent service, I left him a 45% cash tip and told him I hoped to return. Unfortunately, the entrée was a big disappointment. I ordered the Linguine Vongole. While the pasta itself was good the kitchen had forced most of the clam shells open split. Having to guess which shellfish might make you sick really ruined the meal. Based on the entree I didn't stay for dessert. Unfortunately not being seated where I originally made a reservation for lead me to an atmosphere of rambling of a drunk sharing some pretty wild ramblings. Between the entrée issue and the drunk distractions, I skipped the rest of the meal, though I really hope the service on a return visit matches the kindness of my main waiter.
