I usually tend to come here a lot but this time there service was very poor. We waited 15 mins to just get our drinks. Then people that sat way after we did got there food before us, it took us like 45 mins to get our food and it was super cold. I ordered my steak med well, as did my wife. That is what we got. The Jakc and Coke was mostly Jack (Awesome!) and both of my kids were happy with their meals as wel. The only positive thing about my last experience at this Chili's was that our server was polite. When we walked in, the hostess was talking to a friend and it took a while before she realized we were waiting to be seated. When she finally paid attention to us my father asked if there was happy hour going on and she replied, "I don't know," and just stared at us. So we decided to sit in the bar area to see what was going on with happy hour since the hostess was basically useless. The server came up to take our drink order and tell us about all of the items they were out of on the list - a total of 6 when we first sat down. We eventually ordered but about 10 minutes after he took the order he came back to tell my mother that they were out of what she ordered. So she tried to order something else and he said they were out of that too (now 8 items unavailable). She finally settled on fajitas which ended up being the saddest dish of fajitas I have ever seen. My and my dad's food ended up being available, but when I got mine it was barely lukewarm. When we finished dinner the server came by to ask if we wanted dessert, but let us know that they were out of one of the dessert items (now 9 items unavailable). We said no, paid and left. I ended up sick shortly after leaving that evening and the whole next day with what I'm pretty sure was from the food. I probably won't be eating at a Chili's for a long while, if at all, and definitely not at this Chili's if I do return. read more

This chilis service is extremely slow. I ordered enchiladas and after 30 minutes of waiting I left. The next time I went I ordered the same enchiladas and they were extremely dry. The waitresses don't even acknowledge you if you have to wait too long I only go there for drinks now, that's the only thing they do right. read more

We arrived to a half empty restaurant around 630 pm on a Tuesday, and the hostess promptly seated the couple that was behind us! Ok, minor irritation. So we won't let it ruin our night. We were then given a table by the window, ordered, our drinks and a cheese appetizer, which were served quickly. The chips were thin and crisp, the dip was cheesy with just the right amount of heat. I ordered a rib eye steak, medium- well, my wife ordered the fajita plate, and the kids ordered pizza and hambuger sliders. We were the first to be seated in cluster of tables but the guests that came after us were getting their food served to them 1st. The waitress told us that rib eye was holding up our orders and that it was being plated soon (this was at around 7:15 pm, over an hour after we placed our orders, I guess they were still butchering the cow and waiting for the USDA inspector to approve the carcass for sale) My wife commented that the fajita did not have enough spice and putting a piece in my mouth, confirmed that it was indeed, on the bland side. Now my steak was seasoned right but it had to make two trips to the kitchen because my "medium-well order came to me bloody(rare to almost medium ) and the second time, it came medium rare. For all this mostly unspectacular food, we had to wait over an hour to get our orders. The saving grace of our Chilis adventure was our waitress, who was very attentive to our needs: bringing us refills, and giving us extra chips. We received a 50% discount for our extra long wait and the botched steak order. We have not given up on Chilis yet and I hope our next dining experience will be smoother.... read more

They hustled to get us seated quickly, together, took our large order and even took care of splitting the bills without missing a beat and with a smile! Disappointed: Had soup & salad combo. The house salad was served w/ watered down ranch dressing & 1/8 " cubed tomatoes which you could not even taste along w/ a tsp of shredded cheese. Worst service ever! We made a reservation on the 17th for the 25th and they lost our reservation. We went 15 minutes earlier to make sure they had a reservation and they had to set up a new table because they lost it. They didn't seat us until 30 minutes after we were expected to be there. They gave us a waitress who was brand new and had no help. There was at least 30 people in our party. The waitress tried her hardest to make sure she got all of our drinks and food ordered. The manager was supposed to be helping her but he left her with no explanation. many people from our party didn't get their food until half of our party had already eaten all of their food. Our checks were not separated in the beginning and the manager was supposed to help her separate them at the end. We waited over an hour and a half just to pay for our food. Checks kept getting messed up and she was trying to find help but nobody would help her. Horrible management headquarters needs to be contacted! I feel so bad for the poor girl she tried so hard and they left her! The food was not even worth it! Do not come here! read more

I see I'm not alone in complaining about poor service. I wish the managers at this location would take these complaints seriously. And please don't refer anyone to "corporate" because that's just a slightly fancier way of shining people on. From nobody at the desk when we came in to a struggle to get napkins - you read that right - to slow food delivery to trying to track down someone for drink refills and plates - again you read that right - for our messy appetizer (supposed to be messy) it was a frustrating experience. My friends and I are not difficult to please nor demanding and it became hilarious after awhile but I doubt any of us will go back. I got a response from the "guest engagement team" - corporate- which I specifically asked not to have happen. Look guys, to us it's just a restaurant and we can eat anywhere. Had a hell of an experience at the Lancaster, CA location. We went there on the 4th of July before going to a firework show. First, we get a new server, but that's no big deal, dealt with that before. The drinks take forever to come out and they bring out the wrong kind of queso (spinach instead of the regular skillet queso). Tell him it's wrong, he apologizes and takes it back, then it takes FOREVER to get the "right one" out, which he says is because the kitchen is really, really backed up. Finally comes out, and it's brown! Resembles a plate of plain refried beans instead of a queso dip, and tastes old and not cheesy at all. He says he will take the queso off the bill. In the meantime we put our food orders in. Everything EVENTUALLY comes out, and the meat dishes are all dry, my wife's "fiery" chicken crispers don't taste spicy at all, french fries are kind of smashed, and the garlic pickles that come with everyone's food don't taste garlicky at all but instead just like vinegar and cucumber. Very, very disappointing and not at all like what we usually expect from Chili's. We call the manager over and tell him our grievances, and funny enough, he sees my wife's order and thinks they're the honey chipotle crispers. He then poo-poos every grievance we have, saying he was personally in the back helping expedite the food and if anything, they're "under time." We even told him that that's what his server said, that they're very backed up, and he basically said we were lying. On the subject of the queso, we tell him it was very dark, and he's all "yeah, sometimes it's white, sometimes it's yellow." When we said, no it wasn't yellow, it was brown like the color of beans and just tasted like taco seasoning, he still didn't buy it. Everything we said, he just told us it couldn't be, and then gave us a very small discount and didn't even split our bill (it was my wife and I, and then another couple and their two 4 year old twins). Very bad, and we will not be returning! Not the first time the Lancaster location has sucked, but it will be the last time for us! The Palmdale one has always been good. read more

The host was really rude and completely ignored my boyfriend when he asked if his name was called. He asked 3 times and she completely ignored him and then skipped his name. Then when we get our food I ordered the Chili at an extra charge and it was terrible I could only eat two bites and I had to stop. The steak my boyfriend ordered a 10oz at an additional charge of $4 and it was almost the same size as mine. Not worth it at all. I really don't want to give it a 1 star but zero was not an option...WOW! My wife and I have been Chili's regulars since 2002 and I before that but over the last year it seems as though they don't give a $#!7 any more at the Lancaster location which is closest to our home and the one we frequented about every 10 days until about 4 months ago when it started feeling like it was catering to those that were bar regulars. We saw food quality and care start to go downhill and we thought it was a phase or just some bad employees or something... We Visited less often hoping for a turnaround and back in August of 2016 was our last visit until tonight. We thought.... HOPEFULLY.... things might have started to get back to normal or what should be expected but WHOA COWBOY!!! Arrived at 7:30ish and it seemed as the dinner crowd may have been on their way out. By 7:40 the lounge area was about 30% occupied at the tables and only 5 people sat around the bar horseshoe. We took pub table 28 one in from the front door and directly in front of the 1st booth by the front door. None of the tables had been bussed yet and no one was to be found except the gal behind the bar. After 3 minutes I got up in search of a waiter/waitress to wipe down our table. A minute or so into it I found what was to be out waitress and she stated she would get it handed.......... 3 minutes later she found her way back to our table and realized it still had not been wiped down. 7:44 and finally it was wiped off and she was ready for our order, we asked for 2 iced teas and lemon. 7:48 she returns with drinks. Now keep in mind only 5 tables and 5 seats at the bar, all but us had been there, had their food and drinks and we were shocked that two waitresses and a bartender had a very light crowd but for whatever reason it was an extreme wait for anything. Our gal took our food order and was gone. The main dining room was at about 50-60% occupied and we really have no idea what was going on there so I can't comment but the bar / lounge area was unkept, unbussed, slow and then there was the most action in the place directly behind me at the booth next to the door which was occupied by a 35-40 yr. old mom and two boys between 11 and 13 carrying on at the top of their voice fighting over this and that often screaming. The Mother did nothing until the desert came for the boys to share.... Then the action got way out of control, they first argued about whose half was whose then even though warned by the server about it being HOT, each of them proceeded to burn themselves fighting over it. Next thing I knew Mom was gone. I spotted her outside smoking while these two juveniles took it to the next level. Every guest stared in shock but the employees did nothing (Maybe due to them hiding in the kitchen). First of all, it was a situation of unsupervised minors in a bar where liquor was being served but more shocking these two were screaming at extreme levels and nothing was being done. Back to our food, 8:37 our food comes but no silverware and off goes our serve....8:40 I get up and literally go into the kitchen in search of silverware. What do I find.................... Our waitress carrying on with other staff and not a care in the world. She realizes I am fed up and I stated fairly sternly "THE SERVICE IN THIS PLACE SUCKS". That got a few of their attentions but it was 10 minutes later when she made it to our table when my wife asked for some napkins... That's right, we never had any napkins on the table until we were about finished up. My drink was never refilled and I really hope the owner, corporate, and all managers for the 10th street west LANCASTER CA Chili's see this YELP! MORE IMPORTANTLY the consumer not only expects a decent food product but all the rest of the experience to be a pleasure as well. When that does not happen please... So just dont order online to pick up. They don't seem to be staffed to handle the business. I waited for over an hour for food that was just sitting because they couldn't have an organized line of who came first. If your super pushy and don't want to be cordial and wait in a customary line you may get your food in time. After 40 minutes trying to get through the massive line I couldn't get anyone to help me, I found a manager who said sorry we're understaffed and your food was ready a long time ago, sorry. She was kind enough to offer 50% off but do I really want cold ribs? And she also did try to offer to remake them in another 30 minutes so im not blaming the staff for situations that are beyond their control. This was just a hot mess and as another manager in customer service I hope that there's more support on a corporate level to perfect the pick up situation better. read more

I am writing this review regarding the poor service at this establishment. We had a party of 9 for Sunday night dinner and I completely understand the wait for our party. We arrived around 7pm and were seated fairly quickly at 7:35pm. We were off to a great start. Unfortunately, once we were seated no one greeted us and just dropped off our menus. We needed kids menus, but we were not given any at all. The two hosts in FOH were having a conversation amongst themselves and not being entirely helpful. I got up from our table, which was right next to the hosts, and asked for a kids menu. One of the hosts said he would give us one and never did. We waited for 20 minutes and still no kids menu or drink orders. Others were seated after us and their drink orders were taken. It seemed that they confused their servers, so when I got up a second time to ask who was our server was the hosts were confused as to who was assigned to our table. They mic'd someone to get our drink orders since they acknowledged that we have been sitting for a while. After this, we expected some service right away but still another 15 minutes of no service. We just had to get up and leave due to the poor service we received. It was irritating. We spoke to the manager as well and it just seemed that they did not care for us as guests. We are definitely fans of Chili's and a big fan of Keith's (no, we don't know him). Keith made us feel so at home and was a genuinely lovely person - Kevin was great too, as well as all the staff there - but Keith stood out. Our band stopped by there after a gig on Sunday early evening - the only reason I took away a start is because it seemed to take AGES to get our food. Our server was very apologetic though - didn't seem like there were many people when we got there. Still, Kevin kept us entertained and smiling and we'll definitely be back! read more

This restaurant needs new management and more workers! Oh and most definitely a better COOK!!! My family comes here once a year and this will be the last. Our service was horrible. We asked for things and waited so long for every single item. Side of ranch, ketchup(the one on the table was empty) , pasta sauce (pasta was dry) and the worst part, when my 9 year old didn't care for the cinnamon apples we asked the manager for mandarin oranges instead and she never came back. It wasn't until we seen our server 20 minutes later that we asked a 2nd time. Of course we waited some more. Needless to say we waited more than we enjoyed our food. We waited 15 minutes before someone even asked what we wanted to drink. 20 minutes before we got chips. The food - when it finally came - was OVERWHELMINGLY BLAND and while the fries were just out of the fryer hot, the rest of the plate was so cold it couldn't even melt butter.
