Ordered the Steak and Mashed Potatoes Not sure what I did to receive bad service I think it was the manager that'd served me but it didn't matter people serving you should always be friendly. Instead, he looked at me like I didn't belong there. When I received my food it was lukewarm and looked like it can off of someone plate. Maybe he thought in his mind I was a non tipping customer . I don't know but my experience was very cold. He didn't even talk to me and looked me straight in my eye while almost slamming the plate down. Anyways, no one should be treated like that. A cultural icon from a bygone era, Sizzler continues to both delight and whelm... I was enthused enough to stop by, thinking that if this was still around then surely they're doing something right, and so far that's a little tough to discern for myself. I had the Malibu chicken and the cilantro lime rice and I wasn't particularly excited about the size of it, or the flavor of the rice. That being said, this is very much a place to rest and recharge before continuing onwards so I won't be too harsh there. My husband and I had quite an experience at Sizzlers last night. We were minding our own business, looking at the menu on the wall when I saw a disgruntled customer arguing with the manager. We politely went behind him and ordered our food. It looks like the guy was trying to get out of paying for his food behind us., got pretty loud. Poor wife & kid he had. Evidently he was high on something or just ghetto! Props to the manager and staff, he calmly listened to the guy The manager looks like Benito de la Torre to me . Lol I called 911 just in case. Again the waiters, waitresses cashier, bus boys were always professional and polite to this jerk! A+ training Btw, the food was excellent. We've been coming here with family and friends since the 80's. So great to see this location still thriving as a strong staple to the community. New renovations throughout the restaurant. Service was friendly. Orders for entrees took a little longer than usual but eventually arrived. Salad bar is always a solid choice for a good variety. Create your own salad, hot foods, soup and dessert. As tastes change with age I can now always enjoy a good bowl of soup. No matter how hot it is outside. The entree selections were satisfying and just the right amount for one person to enjoy. read more

We were visiting family and friends and I met my friend here for lunch. We are from Seattle and all of our sizzlers closed. We had a nice cashier and ordered salad bars. Produce and fruits were fresh the restaurant was clean not too busy. Easy to find parking located in a huge strip mall. We asked for a refill of ice tea asked 2 times and was ignored both times. Ordered the 14 ounce rib eye steak in medium, with sautéed mushrooms on top and garlic mashed potatoes as the side. Not only was the steak almost rare, they gave almost no mashed potatoes with the dish, only enough for three maybe four bites. The steak also tasted burnt in some places and had lots of fat in the cut. Took a bite and felt it was all fat, almost puked. I was on work travel going through Palmdale. Our local Sizzler's closed down many years ago so this was my chance to have one of my favorite dishes - Malibu Chicken. It did not disappoint. It was the same as I remember except maybe the chicken patty was a bit smaller. Still had the ham on top along with the mustard sauce. So good. It was lunch so I got a side of baked potato, bread, and a trip to the salad bar. I love everything about their salad/hot food bar. The chicken wings are amazing. Unfortunately, I did not have enough room to try everything. I would love to try the soups but it is just too much food for me and I don't like to waste. I also got the seafood (krab) salad. Yummy, big chunks of krab in a mayo/dressing (?) sauce. Not sure but it's wonderful. The salad bar had plenty of items to choose from including breads (cheesey bread!), pastas, soups, salad of all types, a nice selection of toppings, etc. They still had the self-service ice cream machine also. I did not try this though. The service was nice although they were a bit busy so I did not mind just sitting there and eating. The place was clean, tables were cleared off, parking was plentiful, and salad bar was kept up. I think I may have paid around $16 for all that food. If you have teenagers, this is the place to take them to fill up. I will be traveling again in November and will stop by again. read more

The location is convenient and the inside is well-maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. I do believe they were slightly understaffed for how busy they were at the time of our visit. Several of us ordered steaks medium rare they were delivered overcooked and slightly chewy. The baked potatoes we ordered were excellent, and the lobster tail ordered by our group was cooked to perfection. If I were to visit again, I would not order steak and stick with the buffet items, or try something else. It's a shame because Sizzler was known for its steaks. Hello childhood memories. This Sizzler has been here forever! This use to be the place to eat back in the early 80's and 90's. We were turned away from another restaurant down the street so we ended up coming here. The food was ok for the price. My husband had the all you can eat salad bar. You can never go wrong with that. I had the Shrimp, Shrimp, Shrimp and it was ok. The pictures on the menu always looks nice until you get it and in person, it's super small and everything looks like it's "tv dinner". We were just hangry and needed sustenance. I was with my parents and siblings so we had a good time. Service was great. I'm so dissatisfied with the cashier Dlenda, I had already order a steak dinner and a salad bar and a drink I had already my meal and I went to ask for an extra set of silverware sense I had used my fork on my salad (because they only give a knife and 1 fork only) when I asked the cashier dlenda she said she can only give me one because I paid for 1 silverware only. I told her I didnt want to use the same fork for my salad and my steak, she said that it doesn't matter because I only order for 1 meal. Then I was super upset and telling her that that doesn't even make sense and as a manager came out of the other room he gave me the silverware without asking me. So at this point I was highly upset and shaking because of what she said that my appetite was gone because of this cashier. So I asked the manager for my money back and left. They need to train this cashier better if she doesn't like working there she shouldn't work in Costomer service field I've have never in my 29 years of going to this named restaurant have ever experienced such a dumb rule of getting 1 silverware.(to be honest I don't think that's a rule) to say that I can only get 1 silverware because I only paid for 1 That's insane. The food was all frozen or banquet type food, no taste, it was nasty. The service was so bad when it was time for us to go. We asked our server for extra napkins. We never got them. We had to ask her 3 times and we still didn't get him. But she did have time to stop at the table next to us and visit for twenty minutes. Go figure. When it was time for us to go, I had to go find the server to get to go bag for us to take the nasty food to the dogs, and they didn't even like. I had to get up and get it myself. The food in the service bed, it only equals one thing the atmosphere is horrible. And they expect you to leave a tip. Why would I tip someone for me doing their work? My last review of the Sizzler in Palmdale was over three years ago. They still do not have ambrosia salad. They need to bring back their delicious -- and it really was the best tasting -- burgundy colored jello. Like a black cherry maybe. This Sizzler is sparse compared to other Sizzlers like in Bakersfield. This location can do so much better, but they don't try. This is my first time dining at this establishment. The service was superb. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Fast service even when I ordered the steak and lobster the wait was decent. They have plastic options for your silverware. We dined indoor and there is plenty is seating. Very clean and the music made me happy! All you can eat senior buffet for $10.49! I got my hopes up when I saw they had salmon on the menu, but it turns out they were out today. I think it was due to increased demand for Lent. Okay, I forgive them. It turns out that the salad bar was an excellent alternative. There are tons of different veggies and other healthy food there. Yes, there's lots of junk that you could fill up on as well. But I resisted the temptation. They offer a senior salad bar which includes a soda for about $12.49--what a bargain! I tried to get them to make my drink a beer, but they wouldn't fall for that ruse. I had to settle for a soda. Oh well. Meals also includes cheese toast. I also recommend the vegetable beef soup. Surprisingly tasty! The restaurant was immaculate, the service was excellent, and my meal was also very good. This is all obviously a popular restaurant for the locals. Wow!!! We came here with the family we are mourning my father in law just passed. We come in to order food and we noticed we r standing around for several minutes waiting to Order.... the cashier Veronica is starting at us not saying anything. We are also unsure if she is ready for us or we r waiting for someone else? Finally we asked who do we order with???? With an attitude she said with her... Then we come with a big group and she doesn't give us enough utensils. We go back to the cashier to ask for more. AGAIN WITH AN ATTITUDE TELLS US WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH IN OUR GROUP??? My husband & I went here for dinner tonight. I ordered a steak & Baked Potato. After waiting 20 minutes for my meal, the server brought me my meal. I asked him why it took 20 minutes. He said it was because I wanted my steak well done. When I cut into my steak it was almost raw. I asked him why he had told me that it took so long because I wanted it well done. His comment" I'm not the cook" and walked off. I got a refund for my dinner because my husband was done eating. What a terrible dining experience.They used to be really great at everything...Times have definitely changed. I had to use the ladies room and it was a mess. I let one of the employees know that they need to clean the ladies bathroom. We sure didn't leave a tip. Tips are for good service. This server was the worst. read more

We started going here after the Souplantation closed but I'm done with this place. The ranch is so thick and gloppy. Sometimes the ice cream machine works, sometimes it doesn't. The cashiers are very tricky with upselling -- they'll ask "and what would you like to drink" without mentioning that the drink is not included with your meal. Our server made sure our drinks were refilled and promptly brought us cheese bread. We came for the salad / hot bar. Everything was super clean and stocked well. All of the plates and bowls were clean. The salad bar included other salads such as seafood salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw. There were three types of hot soup. Chicken wings, potato wedges, pasta with sauce, and a full taco bar. The chicken wings were fresh and tasty. Soft serve and banana pudding for dessert. We will definitely be back. read more

They used to offer stations with pasta, pizza squares, things to make tacos, a little kids station. The only good thing about Sizzler is their cheese bread they serve as we are waiting for the food. Horrible food and a very sad salad bar. It used to be so good but now they cheapened out. Their potato salad is not even freshly made. I literally saw them refill the potato salad container from a Smart and Final potato salad tub. And I bet most of the salad bar items are frozen foods. Had been almost 5 years since we ate at a Sizzler, but that specific one was permanently closed during "the pandemic." Staff kept coming by and seeing how we were doing and picked up our used dishes. This place is good. The salad bar is great again and has so many choices. The hot bar is really not good or bad. They have chicken nuggets not wings so that's just not good. Mini corn dogs are OK but I miss the corn poppers. They have taco fixings but no tacos. The dessert bar is not great. We had the shrimp skewers which were very good. I had all but given up on sizzler, I felt this chain wasn't what it used to be in the 80's and 90's.... The Sizzler in Rosemead (on Rosemead!) had sadly gone "south"! Then we moved to Glendora, Ca and would eat at the Sizzler in San Dimas which was good, fresh food and good service. However, I was sad that the enchiladas were taken off the buffet AND the chicken wings weren't the same!! Batter was not good!!! Now we live in Lancaster and I have to say, this Sizzler is very good!!! Fresh salad bar, good chicken wings (just like the OG ones!!!) and very kind servers. We love this Sizzler! read more
