I think I last visited a Chili's almost 9 years ago. Back during our university days we were regulars at Chili's and always made sure to order their chocolate lava cake (such a guilty pleasure!!). Anyway, we were passing by this town after our visit to Yosemite and our group of friends wanted a safe option for lunch and I am glad we chose this place because the staff was extremely accommodating! ***Service: Outstanding! We were a party of 21, when I requested for tables I thought we would be seated at 4-5 separate tables but they instead proceeded to combine several tables to form an extra large table to accommodate our entire group! Also, though their max card limit is 3 per party, they allowed upto 4 cards in our case. ***Ambiance: very large restaurant. Most locals seem to show up here to celebrate special occasions. We saw almost 3-4 tables getting the birthday song sung at their tableside. Restrooms were decent which was a relief as we were on a long road trip. ***Food: standard Chili's fare with a kids menu in addition to regular menu. Food was pretty standard with a mix of Americanized Mexican food, some Italian items etc. We were thankful to be able to find dishes to satisfy all the picky eaters in our group. We stopped here on way back up to The Bay from LA. Our server (I think her name was Stephanie but I can't remember and I'm so sorry) was super friendly and on it. The food was standard Chili's and the drinks were good too. We couldn't leave without the molten cake. A staple. They had plenty of TVs and were showing the 49ers game while we were there which was nice. The restaurant itself is pretty big and the parking lot was was to find empty spots in too. We would definitely stop here again on another roadtrip. read more

It was a wonderful event. We had a party of 11. We had a female that served us, but didn't have the patience to listen to our request for our drinks but she bought our drinks to us. She called Dr drinks and we said oh this one and this one goes here and she put all four of our drinks at the end of one part of the table and we had to serve ourselves and fight who had what and if she walked away, I didn't like that I told my main server which was a guy get her before I get her because I had a long day and I need to make sure everybody listen to what our requests are and where to get a garlic allergy in our menu and she was taking orders on one and he was taking orders on the other end it was not a good thing He must've told her because when she came back, she was a little better server, but the beginning it was not a good thing. Food was ok. Better than I expected actually. Service was good. Atmosphere was good. In today's culture, the franchise restaurants just don't keep up with the fresh to table places. Chilis has good chips and salsa! Their chicken tenders with honey chipotle was really good. The southwest eggrolls with avocado dip are always one of my favorite favorites. The restaurant is fairly automated and I feel like sometimes that takes away from the personal interaction of a good server. Our server was kind in more attentive than other visits to Chilis. My wife and I were on the road all day, and starving. Driving home passing through Los Banos, we saw a Chili's, and they've always been good, so we stop. Never again! We ordered ribeye steak medium. My wife's was medium rare to rare bloody and my was medium well to well done. Vegetables were under cooked and mashed potatoes were cold. Spent over $40 on order for pick up. Your host is extremely rude, unfriendly unhelpful and he is not welcoming at all. I haven't been to Chilis in a while, stopped going because the food was eh, same with the service. Tried it out again, and had a much better experience food and service was appreciated. We came in on a Saturday and sat at the bar. We received excellent service at the bar. We got the boneless wings and the garlic parm and lemon pepper. Lemon pepper was so salty couldn't eat it. Didn't tell them so that is on us we were in a rush. I would come here again just based on level of service at the bar as they were very attentive. read more

I went to Chili's last Sunday; a few days after having rotator cuff repair surgery. What a treat to get out so I could enjoy their delicious chicken quesadillas & refreshing lemonade. Oops, I almost forgot about the fresh chips & salsa we had while checking out the menu choices. Since we went late afternoon/early evening, we didn't have to worry about being in an overcrowded place. The service and food were as great as I remembered. Several overhead tvs placed around the restaurant had different MLB baseball games on, so there was entertainment for those who wanted to see their favorite teams. Came on a Sunday at dinner time because I just didn't feel like cooking. So the fact that there is a Chili's here is a God send. Real easy to get to. Conveniently located on the main strip AKA Pacheco Blvd. They have a parking lot dedicated to them and is nestled in the same parking lot as many other food options as well as Home Depot. Please is pretty clean as are the bathrooms. We were seated immediately. Waiter came promptly and took our appetizer and drinks order. We've been to this particulay venue and on this particular night it was just my husband, son and myself. We ordered their bottomless chips and salsa for starters. We each ordered an arnold palmer as our bevvie. Great lemonade to tea ratio! My husband and I ordered from their featured "Smokehouse Combo" deal. With this deal your sides are fries, a corn on the cob (prepared roasted street corn style) and texas garlic toast. Then you can choose either 2 or 3 items from their protein list. I chose the 2 option and opted for their brisket and 1/2 an order of dry rub ribs with their house bbq sauce on the side. My ribs were falling off the bone I didn't even need a knife to tear each rib. The brisket was delicious and was served on top of another slice of texas toast and drizzled with sauce. My husband also chose their 2 item and chose brisket quesadilla and smoke brisket and was happy with his choices. Although he WAS kind of eyeing my ribs so I had to share to be nice. My son ordered their grilled chicken salad with avocado slices and was happy with his choice. Our server was apologetic since it seemed as if he was the only server on our side of the restaurant an in the middle of our dinner the hostess sat a party of 18 in his section. We told him he didn't need to apologize as we were never in need of anything and everything came out promptly. It seemed to put him at ease. It's always nice to see a server that takes pride in their job and really wants the best for the people they serve. Of course we will be back. We like Chili's because we have our usuals and we like that they offer an array of items to choose from so that there is something for everyone. One of these days we will have enough room in us after dinner that we will get to order that lava chocolate cake that always calls my name...lol! read more

We frequent our Chili's BUT this night was different. We wanted to take our family to dinner for our son's birthday. During the pandemic everyone has cooked and cleaned a million times and we commute for work. We just wanted to enjoy eachothers company and were too tired to cook. We called earlier in the day to say we would have a group of 20. Jennifer, the manager my husband spoke to kindly took our name and said she could not guarantee us sitting together but will try. We understood, it was a dinner rush so no problem. We arrived to find that they had already pulled several tables aside for us and there was a dedicated waiter to our table. Drinks were refilled steadily, food came out all together, and we brought not 1 but 2 cakes that we asked to cut. Our waiter was super patient and attentive. We cut him some cake as well as a neighboring table that had children. Who doesn't want some birthday cake? :) Just amazing service and I know it's not always the greatest to wait on a giant party, but they did it with smiles. Food is definitely better than most other restaurants in Los Banos. But. If im being honest the service is honestly beyond mid. I went in for lunch as soon as they opened at 11 being the only customers inside i was happy because I wanted some privacy to hold a convo. Long story short they seated multiple people near us out of all the places they could sit in an empty restaurant after I personally asked to be reseated for more privacy. They disregarded that and seated a group of right next to us after finding a quieter spot. Petty is an understatement. Our server completely disregarded us once the bigger groups came and even waved us off in order to cater to their demands even though we were seated much before them. All in all the food is amazing but id avoid visiting in person unless u have a big party ik this is the case because weeks prior I came in with a party of 9 and they treated us like royalty so obviously there is bias. I never really had bad customer service problems and I only been to chili's 4 times with family or just to have some appetizers and drinks. Or I'll just share with my husband because the food here is not the best. I was here with a party of 10 spent more than $300 I don't care about paying at all. But wish the food didn't make me sick. Previous time my in-law got sick from a chicken salad. I ordered the "SHRIMP SALAD" didn't finished it so took it home they tasted a bit weird but didn't think much of it. The waiter,Juan, was very attentive and pleasant. Top 10 % service....We ordered the soup and salad and the bacon Burger. Everything we ate was excellent. The hamburger was perfect size, the regular bacon cheeseburger I added 100% grass fed meat, with a few fries. I was surprised when we pulled up that chilis was only a 2 1/2 star, but then again if it wasn't for Juan I probably would have score it a 3...keep up the great service Juan! Never disappoints here. We are down to just a few places in town that are worth getting out of the house and going to dinner at and this is one of them. We had a great experience the greeter was good & got us seated. Our drinks came out fast which is important to us. The servers were attentive & our food came out timely. The only complaint I have was the first check in the fries were not as good as normal. They tasted old & stale. Next visit my BF mentioned to server if they could make sure the fries could be fresh. They were very hot & tasted great. They also have great ranch & honey mustard sauces. I dip everything so of course this is important. It was a little rowdy since it was a football night. The steak was cooked just the way I asked so kudos to the chef who knows how to cook a steak right. What was lacking at this location was really on the service side towards the end of my meal. It's been years since the last time I ate at a Chilli's and since then they have revamped their menu and interior looks. Yesterday while driving through the lovely Central Valley town of Los Banos I decided to stop and grab the Slaughter House Burger that was on the list of worst food for you list years back at over 2000 calories. So yummy yet so bad for you. Ah, No More! The menu had a scaled down version Smoke House Burger $10.95. The burger was probably only half the size as before but was still good.
